Psalm 119:11 “Your word I have treasured in my heart, That I may not sin against You.”
Setting the stage:
The best phase of life is period of youthfulness. Along with youthful days come strong passions🔥 towards things which are not approved by God. At times we become victims of those temptations and fall into sin.🤦🤦♀️🤦♂️🥀 Then comes the guilt feelings. God desires to save us from such painful feelings. Today’s scripture reading will guide us how to avoid falling in sin.
Interpretation:
Our hearts♥️ are never empty. They are full of so many things. “For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, slanders.” (Matthew 15:19) How can we get rid of these things. The only way is to replace it with something far better. The most wonderful replacement is the “WORD OF GOD“.📜🗣️ The psalmist decided to store God’s word in his heart♥️ so that he could avoid committing sin against God.
Lessons learnt:
(1) Treasure God’s words in your heart,♥️
(2) God’s words will help you to prevent sin.
Application:
What are you treasuring in your heart?♥️ Today once again God is encouraging🗣️ us to pay attention to his powerful word.📜 May God enable us not to neglect his word rather meditate on it as and when possible.
Illustration:
When Lord Jesus was tested by Satan😈, he had only one answer to all his temptations. That answer was, “it is written.” 📝(Matthew 4:4,7,10) What will you reply to the tempter when he attacks you with a strong temptation? May we learn to use the word of God📜 to its maximum potential.
Prayer for today:
Dear Lord Jesus, I thank you for this wonderful day. I am also thankful for your eternal words of wisdom. Help me Lord to meditate on your words more. Help me to treasure your words in my heart. ♥️ I pray in your sweet name. 🙏🙏🛐

PTL Br God’s word is very enlightening so treasuring God’s word is very enriching which helps to maintain ur holiness gives u victory over sin n temptation
