1 Samuel 13:14 …….The LORD has sought out for Himself a man after His own heart, and the LORD has appointed him as ruler over His people, because you have not kept what the LORD commanded you.

Today’s thought:

Today’s scripture quote will teach us about the condition of our hearts. ♥️ We read that God rejected arrogant disobedient king Saul. 👑 God chose another person to replace king Saul.

Exposition of today’s scripture quote:

King Saul became arrogant disobedient king.👑 God sent Samuel the prophet with a message that God had rejected Saul. God had sought and found a man. This man was David a young shepherd boy. Deep in the desert as he was grazing his sheep, he had developed close relationship with God. God was totally satisfied with him. He complemented him by saying that he was a such type of person whom God is looking for. A man who brings satisfaction to the heart ♥️ of God.

Lessons learnt:

(1) God rejects arrogant disobedient person,
(2) God is seeking for a person who brings delight to God’s own heart

Application:

What is the situation of our hearts?♥️ Is it seeking God? Do you feel God is satisfied with your life? Will God be able to say that you are the person after God’s own heart? If your hearts♥️ desire is for God then you are blessed person.

Illustration:

David was the only person about whom God gave complement that he was a man after God’s own heart.♥️ Even though he was practicing his faith in secret and it was obvious only to God. Human beings may not understand your spiritual growth but God knows all about your heart.♥️ Even this was quoted in new testament.(Acts 13:22) David always had a passion to know Yehovah God more closely. He desired to spend time at the God’s temple to behold his beauty. (Psalm 27:4) May God transform our hearts like David’s. May our hearts♥️ be disciplined to know God in more depth.

Prayer for today:

Dear Lord Jesus, I am thankful for this day. Thank you God for reminding me about king David. Help me, transform my heart♥️ into a heart♥️ that will always seek you. Help me today to seek your face. I pray in your mighty name. Shalom dear friend. God bless you and fill you with desire to know him better.
