Dealing with doubting Thomas

Hi everyone.πŸ‘‹ Welcome back to the DAILY BIBLE BYTES.πŸ™πŸ˜Š

Today we are going to dwell on the life of apostle Thomas. He is very well known for his doubts. As an apostle, his conduct wasn’t as expected of an apostle.

John 20:24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.

For some unknown reason, apostle Thomas wasn’t present when Lord Jesus appeared to his disciples after His resurrection. Thomas couldn’t believe his fellow disciples that they saw the resurrected Lord Jesus.

He said,” unless I see, put finger and hand at the site of the wounds, I won’t believe.” (John 20:25) Can you believe that the disciple who followed the Lord Jesus for almost three years saying these harsh words.

Anyway, none of the disciples could convince him. In simple words, it was a challenge. As a unseen God, Jesus Christ heardπŸ‘‚ the words of Thomas.πŸ—£οΈ He decided to meet the challenge of Thomas. Resurrected Lord Jesus appeared once again, through the closed door.πŸšͺ (John 20:26) Thomas was present at this time.

Can you imagine Thomas’s face when he sawπŸ‘€ the resurrected Lord.😰 He must have been so embarrassedπŸ˜“ and it must have been a jaw-dropping experience.😲 Lord Jesus Christ meant business. He deals with Thomas straightway.

John 20:27 Then He said to Thomas, “Reach here with your finger, and see My hands; and reach here your hand and put it into My side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing.”

Jesus Christ invited Thomas to verify the fact that He is alive. We don’t find Lord Jesus upset with Thomas. If I were in His place, I may have been very upset. 😑

Lord Jesus Christ was full of grace and mercy towards Thomas. Why didn’t he scream at him?πŸ€” Why didn’t he fire him from the office of apostle? 🀨

I believe the reason why He didn’t give up on him was that He saw the future very clearly. He saw apostle Thomas traveling to India and reaching out with the gospel. Thomas is not much known for his sacrifice in India. The history says that he died in India. December 21, 72C.E. is the martyrdom day of apostle Thomas as per history.

Are you one of the similar kind? Are you struggling with your doubts? I have one suggestion for you. Go to your room.🏠 Ask the Lord Jesus to reveal himself to you.πŸ› He knows the best way to convince you. He will meet you in an amazing way. He will help you to rise up in faith so that you will soar like an πŸ¦… far deeper into the sky.☁️

Mark 9:24 Immediately the boy’s father cried out and said, “I do believe; help my unbelief.”

You can make this as your prayer. I would like to encourage you not to forsake your faith.

Hebrews 3:12 Take care, brethren, that there not be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heartβ™₯️ that falls away from the living God.

May God of mercies strengthen your faith. With lots of love. God bless you. Have a great and godly today. β™₯οΈπŸ•ŠοΈ
