Barnabas
Who is Barnabas? Don’t you know Barnabas? Never mind, I will introduce you to Barnabas.π
Acts 4:36 Now Joseph, a Levite of Cyprian birth, who was also called Barnabas by the apostles (which translated means Son of Encouragement),
His other name was Joseph. A member of the tribe of Levi. Born in Cyprus. He was also called Barnabas.
Why Barnabas?
This is so boring!π€¦ββοΈ Why am I writing about this man. What, I like about him is the meaning of his name Barnabas, which means “son of encouragement.”
This is exciting to me. He was an encourager. He lived as per his name. He was true to the meaning of his name. He believed and lived to encourage others.
Acts 9:27 But Barnabas took hold of him(Paul) and brought him to the apostles and described to them how he had seen the Lord on the road, and that He had talked to him, and how at Damascus he had spoken out boldly in the name of Jesus.
He introduced apostle Paul to the church at Jerusalem.
Acts 15:37-39 Barnabas wanted to take John, called Mark, along with them also. But Paul kept insisting that they should not take him along who had deserted them in Pamphylia and had not gone with them to the work. And there occurred such a sharp disagreement that they separated from one another, and Barnabas took Mark with him and sailed away to Cyprus.
Barnabas encouraged John Mark as well when Paul wanted to fire him.
I love to read about Barnabas, He took initiative to introduce Apostle Paul when everyone else skeptical about it. He supported John Mark when Paul rejected him as their teammate.
Because of this encouraging nature, he earned the name Barnabas.
What name do you want?
God asked me, “what would you like people to call you?” And I answered,”Barnabas.”
Mission of Barnabas’ life was to only encourage others. He had no other intentions. I would like to be known as encourager.
My mission
I want to make mission Barnabas as mission of my life. I want to encourage everyone whomever I meet. I pray to God to make me an encourager.
What’s your mission of your life?π€
Sending this message to encourage you to be an encourager in this world which is full of discouragement. Let us not add to the discouragement.
Shalom ποΈ

Fantastic!!! Encouragement is a spiritual gift (Rom. 12:8) and we can see what a difference this makes by looking at the life of Barnabas. God bless you for this.

I want to be like Anna and David. I love spending time fasting in the temple and may I dwell in the House of the Lord forever and I love to commune with my heart on my own bed. Although I am not a man, but a woman. David is one my heart is set after, But I pray God take away murder and help me overcome any sex immorality. I love so many in the Word! they all help me greatly! β€ I also pray I be like Michelle and I give the right season for the dishes be prepared, may I have enough salt and pepper. May I serve fruit and meat and grains and all things for the Lord's supper. all in the right seasons in the right timing! My desires! β€
