Building a throne

Thrones are still famous. The thrones which are occupied are not open to public however thrones which are not occupied are open for public display.

Thrones are not found in the homes of commons. They are located in castles and palaces. Thrones are considered a seat of power in the whole kingdom.

Thrones come in different shapes and sizes. Thrones are made of different materials, ranging from wood to pure gold.

No body can simply claim his right to the throne. Thrones are usually inherited. In some instances, they are won in a battle.

Thrones are not permanent. They are temporary. A value of throne is based on who is sitting on it. If it is a powerful King or Queen, then it has more worth and dignity.

Why am I discussing thrones? Allow me to introduce one scripture quote form the Holy Bible.

No throne for God

God is asking a question! There are many thrones for earthly human kings, no throne for God. Please read this.

Isaiah 66:1 NASBS
Thus says the LORD, “Heaven is My throne and the earth is My footstool. Where then is a house you could build for Me? And where is a place that I may rest?

God’s desire

God is asking for a home. God is asking for a place of rest. How do we answer this? What is the solution for this problem? There is one solution. Please read further.

Psalm 22:3 NASBS
Yet You are holy, O You who are enthroned upon the praises of Israel.

This is a portion of a psalm written by King David. He is praising God. He always emphasized the importance of praising God.

He mentioned that God is enthroned of the praises. Yes, we can build a throne of God. When we praise him we are building a throne. We can build a place where God can rest. A place where God is praised is a restful place for God.

The another place where God can stay is…….. our hearts. Please read another quote.

Ephesians 3:17 NASBS
so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

Conclusion: We have to introspect. We need to ask ourselves, is God really the King of my life? Am I building a throne for God? Is your heart open to God to come and rest?

May God bless you all with these words of encouragement.
