I will soar with you🦅

Many years ago I heard a beautiful story from my mentor. Please allow me to share it with you. Most probably you might have heard it before, but it good to refresh our memories.

The story goes like this……

“A man had many eggs and he decided to hatch them. One of the egg was quite odd but he kept that egg in between the other eggs of hen.

In the due course of time, there were many tiny little hatchlings crawling all over the place. These little fellows used to roam around the place. The owner would feed them with grains.

Among them was an abnormal chick. No one cared about it. All these chicks gradually began to grow. They slowly started to take shape of their species. The abnormal chick was growing more abnormal in shape and size.

A time came when all of them became grown up cocks and hens. The abnormal chick was in no way similar to the majority.

One day a man was passing by and he spotted this abnormal bird🦅 among these poultry. He was stunned to notice this magnificent big bird among the these fowls.

He inquired with the owner. How come you have tamed this eagle? What this eagle is doing among the these fowls? This shouldn’t have happened!😥

The owner was filled with pride and said, “you see I have managed to turn an eagle into a domestic bird.” The passerby felt very sad to see the condition of this eagle. Eagle was dirty and shabby chic.☹️

He asked the owner for permission to make this eagle fly. The owner was quite confident that eagle won’t be able to fly. He gave challenge to passerby to give it a try.

The passerby spoke to eagle saying that, “you are an eagle and you are not meant to be a fowl. I am sending you to fly.” So he threw the bird into the sky. The eagle struggling came back to its original place and began feeding among the other chicks.

The owner had a great laugh. He said I told you. This Bird doesn’t believe you. I have convinced him that he is fowl. You can’t do anything for him to fly.

The passerby wouldn’t give up. He took the bird little more higher ground than before. He plunged it into the sky. The owner was quite smart. He began to throw some grains and the eagle after a small flight returned to the farm.

The passerby was sad but the owner was giggling in his heart. The owner said, “my dear friend, please give up. This eagle is useless. He will never ever be an eagle again. Don’t waste your time and energy.”

The passerby was quite upset. He asked for a last attempt to make this eagle fly. He held the eagle in his hands, he looked into his eyes and said, “look eagle, you are an eagle and not a fowl at all. Why can’t you understand this basic fact about yourself. You are made to fly up in the sky. I am sending you back to your rightful place where you belong. Don’t come back to this dungeon.”

Afterwards the passerby took him to the highest point at that place. He plunged him into the sky. The eagle struggling began to fly. The higher air currents took him to greater heights. The owner began to call out to him. As he began to soar grater heights the owners and other fowls voice began to fade away.

He saw the glory of the sky. He saw the aerial view of the world. He said to himself, “boy what a beautiful and fantastic sight is this. I missed this for a such a long time. I believed that I am someone else. I am not. I am an eagle made to conquer the Air.” He was very grateful to the passerby for showing and plunging him into the sky. Today that eagle is still soaring the heights.
