Solitary life
We human beings can’t survive without each other. We aren’t made to live a solitary life. But there is an exception to this notion. I read the story of the last of his tribe. Here is this lone survivor of his tribe which was wiped in 1970s and 1980s. This man survived many attacks on his life. He stays in the Amazon region.
Separation
The separation from our loved ones is always painful whether it is temporary or permanent. We are never prepared for it. We are always under impression that our loved ones will always be with us no matter what happens.
Reasons
There are so many reasons which can bring separation. The foremost important thing that separates us is the death. The other thing that separates us is war. There are many people who have been displaced by the ongoing war like situations. The military service causes spouses to be separated for long periods. Divorce is equally important factor of separation. Sickness can lead to separation.
Psalm 27:10 NASBS
For my father and my mother have forsaken me, But the LORD will take me up.
Not forsaken
This is the reality of life. Due to some unresolvable differences between parents, the children may feel abandoned. The psalmist decided to take refuge in the Lord in such situations. There are so many children we encounter who have been abandoned by their own parents.
Isaiah 49:15 NASBS
“Can a woman forget her nursing child And have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, but I will not forget you.
Forsaken by mom
There are so many instances where the mother has abandoned newborn baby because of shame of delivering the unwanted baby out of wedlock. God said that this might happen in the world but God is not going to abandon his own people.
Romans 8:38-39 NASBS
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, [39] nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Inseparable love of God
Apostle Paul was convinced beyond all doubts that absolutely nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. I rejoice in such a relentless love God has for me. I cherish this amazing love of God. I feel there is nothing special in me that God should pour out so much love for me.
May we learn to cherish this love of God always and to reciprocate by loving the one who loves us.
God bless you.
