I can never claim that I am as I was in last year. I can sense change in me everyday. I can see more silver hair on my head than year before. My hairline is receding more backwards.
Energy levels are waxing and waning. Weight is equally fluctuating. All these are signs of aging. Yes I am changing, which is not reversible.
I can see the world around me changing. My daughter is growing at fast pace. My wife is aging along with me. My friends have changed. Basically nothing remains same. Change is something which is always constant.
On 31 Dec, last year for a watch night service, my ailing mother recieved a wonderful scripture promise for the year 2019. I quote the promise, “As I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”
My mom is a woman of faith. As soon as she read those words, her aged eyes brightened and she began to smile with a great joy. She was infused with a great assurance. She could sense her God whisper that as He was with Moses and Joshua, He will be with her in this new year.
In this ever-changing world, there is only one person who never changes and never dies, this is our almighty God. _ Bible blogger
I was equally encouraged to see my mom full of joy which only God’s words could produce. I tried to reassure her and failed again and again. But God’s words have power. I was thinking about those words. I was reminded that in this ever-changing world, there is only one person who can never change. This person is my mom’s mighty God.
Joshua 1:5 KJVS
There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
