“In a remote village there lived a man who owned ten bulls. The bulls were hefty and strong. They were well nourished animals. They belong to a breed with good height. These could withstand good fight with another animal.
Since there wasn’t enough fodder in the village, their owner would take them to a place with lot of greenery. But it was very close to the forest. All ten bulls would always stick together.
This dense forest was home to fierce lions. The lions would always watch and wait to prey on these bulls. One day a lion suddenly attacked these bulls. Immediately, All ten bulls charged together on the lion. This intimidated lion. The lion retreated and went back to the forest without causing any harm.
The lion would always watch and wait for an opportunity to attack these bulls so that he can avenge humiliation. He tried his best to isolate one bull from the other nine. These bulls were strongly United. He couldn’t break their unity.
Afterwards, these bulls started arguing and fighting with each other over petty issues. They developed so much of differences that they could never walk together. They started grazing individually. The bulls began venturing near forest where lions were.
When lion noticed a Bull grazing all alone in the forest. Lion set up his attack on this bull. He pounced on the bull and the bull couldn’t do anything. The bulls began to bellow but there was no one to save him. His fellow bulls were not interested in helping anyone.
Finally lion could taste his victory. He began to kill other bulls as well. Ultimately lion killed all of them. What a tragic end of the story.”
The moral of the story: United we stand and divided we fall.
This story is inspired by two scripture quotes from the Holy Bible.
Psalm 133:1 NASBS Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brothers to dwell together in unity!
In this quote the psalmist is praising the unity among the brothers and sisters. Dear friend, when was the last time you spoke with your brother or sister?
1 Peter 5:8 NASBS Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
In this scripture quote, the devil is portrayed as a roaring lion who is waiting to destroy everyone who is vulnerable.
1 Peter 5:9 NASBS But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world.
The solution to this problem mentioned is the faith in Jesus Christ. Being firm in faith and also keeping good relationship with fellowmen.
Abundant blessings to you.
