Today is the anniversary of the announcement of the discovery of the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis by Sir Dr. Robert Koch. This day is commemorated as world TB day. The theme for this year is “it’s time.” On this occasion, various programs and events are organized around the world. It’s an opportunity to create public awareness of this disease.
What you can do? If you find any person coughing for more than two weeks then, please direct him to the nearest health care center. It could be the symptoms of TB. TB is curable. In India, the TB treatment is provided free of cost at all health center.
TY, TB is being spread thru immagration also. So sad for those people.:(

My little brother, many years ago had mild TB. But it is cured. I hope people become more awared.

It is curable. We are struggling with a variant called multidrug-resistant TB. Another difficult combination is HIV-TB. There are a lot of challenges for conquering this age-old disease.
