Good Friday is observed as the day of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. The death on the cross was the cruellest and barbaric capital punishment. This kind of death was reserved for most notorious criminals. However, when the governor Pilate examined Jesus Christ for the accusations against Him. He found Jesus Christ innocent. Then why did Jesus Christ was crucified?
The answer was that He died for me and you. He died a substitutionary death. This death saved us. Whoever believes in this substitutionary death will be saved from the penalty of Sin.
This is the good news which converted the horrific Friday into a Good Friday.
John 3:16 TPT
For this is how much God loved the world he gave his one and only, unique Son as a gift. So now everyone who believes in him will never perish but experience everlasting life.
I would love to hear from you. Please post a comment.

But the Lord was pleased to crush him in infirmity. If he gives his life as an offering for sin, he shall see his descendants in a long life, and the will of the Lord shall be accomplished through him. Isaiah 53:10-11
Good Friday indeed!

Amen. So true. A great prophecy was written precisely by the prophet Isaiah 700 hundred years before the Good Friday. It describes the event perfectly well. Thanks.
