As usual I was driving to work. I always stop if someone asks for lift. I was stopped by an elderly couple. They requested me to drop them at a certain place.
While dropping this couple, I committed a minor mistake. I didn’t realise that a beautiful lady rider was just behind my car. I was in a hurry, so I stopped my car in the middle of the road. It was a terrible mistake.
Because of this sudden break of my car, the beautiful woman had to press her breaks instantly. This caused this beautiful woman to be upset.
Immediately this beautiful pretty face turned into an angry face. She gave me a stare and I could see her lips cursing me. I felt so piety for this woman.
James 3:9-10 TPT
We use our tongue to praise God our Father and then turn around and curse a person who was made in his very image! [10] Out of the same mouth we pour out words of praise one minute and curses the next. My brothers and sister, this should never be!
I am not blaming this woman. She must have been in an emergency situation. She must have been in some kind of stress. Maybe I would have done same thing.
Today’s scripture reading discourages us from cursing others. We are not permitted to use our foul language towards fellow human beings who are made in the image of God.
Dear friend, please listen to me. Ask Jesus Christ for help. He will help you to use your mouth for greater purposes. You can bless God and people alike.
Be blessed in Jesus name.
Shalom 🕊️

Some people curse to relieve their stress. Everyone has their reasons, brother. It’s kinda weird.😅😅

I don’t agree with that. I don’t like anyone cursing me brother. I don’t think you will like it yourself. 😀👍

No, I just said people curse for different reasons and no reason at all. Not that I like it myself. Geez.😂

Oh I see. Sorry for misinterpretation. Yeah, we got used to it. It’s a bad habit. Need to get rid of it. Humanly impossible. We need divine intervention to overcome.

It’s helped me to overcome my habit of cursing. Now I don’t curse others. Even if I want to I can’t. God has shut my mouth. I am not bragging, but I humbly testify that it was possible only by the grace of God. Not by my own virtues. 😊✌️

I don’t cuss out either. 🙂

Great buddy. You are most welcome. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. We have to bless those who curse us and not curse back as revenge. 😀👍

I’ve known people who do not turn heads in physical appearance but because they’re so beautiful in the inside they make people with all the looks in the world seem unattractive.

Excellent. We can do so much damage with our words.
