Blogging tip #10: Topic/s

It is a great temptation to oscillate between multiple topics in a single post. Stick to one particular thought. Help readers to get hold of a specific topic. You can always deal with another topic in a different post.

For example:

Jude 1:3 NASBS
Beloved, while I was making every effort to write you about our common salvation, I felt the necessity to write to you appealing that you contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints.m

My comments:

This author felt compelled to write about different topics. The decision was hard. He decided to write about faith.

My take on invisible

Public Domain Pictures

Do you feel invisible? You aren’t alone. People have ignored and rejected me in the past. Made me feel that I am invisible. You might be unwanted to the world but precious to the Creator. So cheer up!

Inspirational quote:

Colossians 1:16 NKJV

For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.

My comment:

You aren’t noticed by the world yet your creator has set His eyes on you.

Health tip #2 : Sneeze

A sneeze produces a cloud of water droplets. This cloud is made up of approximately 3000 microdroplets. These can spread put 6 feet away. When these droplets dry, it settles down as dust. This dust becomes airborne during floor sweep. This is most commonly possible in hospital settings. This is best avoided by wet mopping. An innocent sneeze is a potential channel of disease transmission.

Blogging tip # 9: Paragraph

Usually, 100-200 words make a paragraph. Well, this rule can be overruled. Short paragraphs attract more readers. Typically paragraph deals with a single idea. It begins with an introductory sentence and followed by details.

For example.

Matthew 6:14-15 TPT

“And when you pray, make sure you forgive the faults of others so that your Father in heaven will also forgive you. [15] But if you withhold forgiveness from others, your Father withholds forgiveness from you.”

My comment:

This is a small paragraph. The central theme is forgiveness.

My take on joy.

The dictionary meaning of joy is great happiness. Actually, happiness depends on what happens. Joy is dependent on real facts. Belongingness produces real joy.

Inspirational quote:

Health tip #1: Cough etiquette

Coughing indiscriminately can spread infectious organisms. Any person suffering from cough should hold a handkerchief while coughing. The best option is to provide a mask to the person suffering from the cough.

The coughed out material should be disposed off hygienically. This etiquette will prevent the spread of infections of the respiratory tract. For example, influenza.

My comment:

The above scripture encourages using simple language that everyone can understand.

My take on contentment.

Being content is valued quality. Being content doesn’t mean you possess everything. It simply means that lack of something doesn’t bother you.

Bible blogger 😇

Inspirational Bible quote:

Philippians 4:11-12 NKJV

Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

My comment:

Paul was an apostle of Jesus Christ. He learned how to be content when he has or does not have material things. Jesus Christ taught him this great lesson.

How do you deal with discontentment? Please feel free to share your thoughts.

Bible blogger 😎

Inspirational Bible quote:

Proverbs 28:23 TPT
If you correct someone with constructive criticism, in the end, he will appreciate it more than flattery.

Proverbs 15:32 TPT

My comments:

Constructive criticism is always valuable. It helps us to improve. It is called as peer review.

Are you open to constructive criticism? Please feel free to share your experience with criticisms.

Our love triangle ⚠️😉😅💘

Unplanned love triangle

We all know that no one should come in between two lovers. However, there are many people who eventually become part of that love and create a triangle.

Family triangle

My parents were in love and they were blessed with three sons. These sons were part of the love triangle. I am in love with my wife. God blessed us with a beautiful daughter. She became the integral part of our love triangle.

Benefits of triangle

Whenever we get upset with each other our daughter has full right and access to prevent us from escalating our differences. Sometimes her intervention isn’t sufficient. We need someone who is much superior and powerful lover.

Divine triangle

My wife met Jesus before she met me. I knew Jesus before I met her. We are 💯% sure that He immensely loves both of us. He is the one who arranged our love marriage. He is the integral part of our love triangle. When no human beings can resolve our differences, He supernaturally defuses our tense hearts. We are more inclined listen to His advice than any other person.

Unseen guest

During our marriage, Jesus Christ was the unseen guest. I remember an incident mentioned in the scripture. Jesus Christ was invited for a wedding celebration. The wine served for the function got exhausted. They didn’t know what to do. Jesus’ mother told them to involve Jesus Christ. He miraculously turned water into wine.

Superior wine

The person who served wine was surprised with the quality of this new wine. He didn’t know from where this new tasteful wine appeared. Wine is representative of joy of married life. Jesus Christ is able to supply all that we need to keep our marriage and family life healthy. It was a wise decision to include Lord Jesus Christ as a part of our love triangle.

John 2:10-11 NKJV And he said to him, “Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!” [11] This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him.

Abundant blessings to you.

Refocusing on the ancient institution

Basic unit

We are well aware that families are the building blocks of all communities. A family is formed when two different unique individuals are joined together through the holy matrimony. Marriage is the first human institution which came in to existence.

Divine invention

Who was the first person who came up with the idea of marriage? We have no information on this topic. I found a wonderful reference to the first marriage in the Holy Bible. As we will realise by reading following that it was creator God’s invention for man and woman to get married. It is not a human origin.

Genesis 2:21-25 NKJV And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. [22] Then the rib which the LORD God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man. [23] And Adam said: “This is now bone of my bones And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, Because she was taken out of Man.” [24] Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. [25] And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

Divine solemnization

This is the description encapsulating the creation of a woman. Immediately this newly created first woman was married to the first man. Any guesses on the person who solemnized this first marriage? Yes, God is the correct answer. God not only solemnized it, but He was the father of bride and bridegroom, He was the witness, and He was the audience.

Divine witness

Today also God is the witness to each and every marriage. So, we have to be very vigilant as God is watching our married life.
Malachi 2:14 NKJV Yet you say, “For what reason?” Because the LORD has been witness Between you and the wife of your youth, With whom you have dealt treacherously; Yet she is your companion And your wife by covenant.

Refocus your married life

Dear friends, I am reminding all of us to refocus on strengthening our married life. If we do not pay attention to it then it will dwindle into a sour and bitter relationship. We need to preserve this ancient institution by love and care. Invest your time, energy and resources in your spouse. Your spouse is the VVIP of your life.

Much blessings.

My journey⤵️ and Divine elevator….⤴️

School days

When I was in school I used to observe the financially successful and would wonder when will I will be earning. I wanted to earn money as soon as possible as our financial situation was not so good.

College days

Then I landed in professional college. I used to get highly impressed by the successful professionals who were ahead of me. I used to see them driving cars and would go through despair.

Professional days

Finally I completed my graduation and successfully completed my professional degree course. I wasn’t sure of what to do next. So I took up some temporary jobs. That job provided me with financial incentives but no job satisfaction.

Permanent job

Suddenly there was a job opportunity at my current institute. I wasn’t sure if I would be selected as I was rejected in earlier interviews. But prayerfully I applied and attended the interview. God’s plans are so amazing. There were two positions and I wasn’t aware. I thought it was a single post. Thank God that I was selected.

Unsatisfied job

I started my career and began teaching my classes. Over a period of time in spite having such a good paying job I wasn’t that satisfied. I wanted to progress in my research career. I began searching for different avenues to fulfill this desire.

Extra efforts

I got myself acquainted with online learning courses. I managed to complete couple of them. Most free while others were paid. This exposure unleashed new opportunities to sharpen my skills. I progressed upwards slowly and gradually.

I was always looking for a recognition as a good teacher and researcher which I never received. It is used to bother me a lot. Today by God’s amazing interventions I have been recognized as an established researcher and organizer.

My journey

In short this is my journey from nothing to something.

This post is inspired by the scripture quote:

James 4:10 NKJV Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.

God taught me one lesson. Don’t Elevate yourself. Your job is to humble yourself and in my own time I will give you recognition in front of everyone. God wants each one of us to humble and believe in Lord Jesus Christ and in his own time He will give us breakthrough.

God knows the best time to elevate you. It is better to take God’s elevator. Don’t be in a hurry. _ Bible blogger

God bless you dear friend.

The end of workshop.

Last day

Today was the last day of our workshop. On Monday we had an excellent response. I was a bit skeptical about today’s attendance of participants.

The concern

I thought that the gap between the two sessions might have cooled down the enthusiasm. I was bit concerned about it.

Prayer request

I informed my dear mother and family to remember to pray about it. I also prayed about it.

The answer to prayer

We began our workshop exactly at 14:00 hours. Quite a few participants had already arrived and were seated. No sooner out of 63 participants who attended on Monday, a total of 59 participants attended today’s session.

I was very grateful to my participants for coming back. I was grateful to my team for the excellent quality workshop arrangements. I received good feedback about the workshop.
Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; [6] In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

Ephesians 4:32  Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.

An unforgettable event

Yesterday we organized a workshop on Mendeley reference manager. This is a software which enables a user to insert citations in a research articles and it has many other wonderful features.

Limited audience

Initially this workshop was planned exclusively for our parent department postgraduate students. We began with just 5 students. I developed a desire and dream to extend this workshop to fresh pg students from other departments of our institute.

Extended invitation

God’s ways are amazing. My boss himself came up with the idea to open this workshop to students from all departments. To my surprise and amazement many students expressed their willingness to attend this event. Initially we were little skeptical about it.

Overwhelming response

I created a tiny little social media group, and circulated the link to this group to all interested. People started to join this group. Within few days people started flooding the group. I didn’t expect faculty members to be interested, they also enrolled for this workshop.

Great start

Altogether 60 people registered. Yesterday was the first day of the workshop and it was attended by altogether 63 participants. This program was inaugurated by the Head of the institution.

Trouble shooting

We were facing trouble with the existing audio system. My friend and colleague immediately offered his help. He gave us brand new audio visual equipment which were just commissioned few days ago. We were the first people to use it for such an event.

Appreciation and gratitude

At the end of the session, I received many compliments and messages expressing their appreciation. I am grateful to my Boss and the Head of the institution for granting me this opportunity to share my knowledge. I am grateful to God for taking everything under his control. ©2019

Return to this lost City

There is beauty in simplicity.

Value Simplicity it is a rare commodity.

We have complicated our world too much.

Let us return to the simplicity.

Simplicity is another beautiful city.

Very few people reside in the city of simplicity.

This message is inspired by the following Bible quote:

2 Corinthians 1:12 KJVS
For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.

Report from my professional front

A proud moment

Yesterday my students made me feel very proud. I had an opportunity to teach them what I learnt from my course. It was a concept we knew theoretically but we never knew how to put it in practical terms.

New concept

This concept is called the assessment of built environment. For this purpose we used a CDC tool. I taught my students about the impact of our built environment on public health.

The practical

There was a practical field activity associated with this topic. The students were asked to visit one community of their choice and conduct a walk. They had to note positive and negative aspects which could impact public health.

The final product

Finally they had to produce a 5-8 slide PPT presentation. Around 12 of my students completed the field activity and did an excellent presentation. The other faculty members were very happy about the whole thing. It was a day of great satisfaction as a teacher.

This post is inspired by a scripture quote from the Bible.
Matthew 25:21 NASBS His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful slave. You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.’

Jesus Christ taught a parable of a person who was faithful in minor as well as major matters. His master declared him as a faithful employee. Such faithfulness to the Lord will eventually result in praise and glory from the Lord.

Ten bulls: an Analogy to…..😅

My mentor who helped me to grow in my faith in Jesus Christ the saviour taught me this analogy. This is a timeless story has created a great impact on my life. I believe that this story has a wonderful message to everyone. Please listen to the story……

“In a remote village there lived a man who owned ten bulls. The bulls were hefty and strong. They were well nourished animals. They belong to a breed with good height. These could withstand good fight with another animal.

Since there wasn’t enough fodder in the village, their owner would take them to a place with lot of greenery. But it was very close to the forest. All ten bulls would always stick together.

This dense forest was home to fierce lions. The lions would always watch and wait to prey on these bulls. One day a lion suddenly attacked these bulls. Immediately, All ten bulls charged together on the lion. This intimidated lion. The lion retreated and went back to the forest without causing any harm.

The lion would always watch and wait for an opportunity to attack these bulls so that he can avenge humiliation. He tried his best to isolate one bull from the other nine. These bulls were strongly United. He couldn’t break their unity.

Afterwards, these bulls started arguing and fighting with each other over petty issues. They developed so much of differences that they could never walk together. They started grazing individually. The bulls began venturing near forest where lions were.

When lion noticed a Bull grazing all alone in the forest. Lion set up his attack on this bull. He pounced on the bull and the bull couldn’t do anything. The bulls began to bellow but there was no one to save him. His fellow bulls were not interested in helping anyone.

Finally lion could taste his victory. He began to kill other bulls as well. Ultimately lion killed all of them. What a tragic end of the story.”

The moral of the story: United we stand and divided we fall.

This story is inspired by two scripture quotes from the Holy Bible.

Psalm 133:1 NASBS Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brothers to dwell together in unity!

In this quote the psalmist is praising the unity among the brothers and sisters. Dear friend, when was the last time you spoke with your brother or sister?

1 Peter 5:8 NASBS Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

In this scripture quote, the devil is portrayed as a roaring lion who is waiting to destroy everyone who is vulnerable.

1 Peter 5:9 NASBS But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world.

The solution to this problem mentioned is the faith in Jesus Christ. Being firm in faith and also keeping good relationship with fellowmen.

Abundant blessings to you.

Mother’s heart: Indian folk story

My mother knows many stories. She told me this story when I was a child. I still remember it so vividly. The story is as follows……….
“There was a handsome young man. He had a very loving mother. They were only two survivors after the death of his father. The mother was a very hard working woman. She worked very hard to raise her only son. She provided Everything for his growth and development. He could study and obtain college level education. After sometime he fell in love with a pretty girl. They became madly in love with each other. They gave promises to each other. The girl asked her boyfriend, “What can you do to prove your love for me?” He replied that he can do anything. He can even bring stars from the sky and lay down at her feet. The girl was very cunning and cruel. She told him to bring heart of his mother. He was very sad. But he was totally blind after this damsel. He had to prove his love. He thought that everything is fair in war and love. He went home and killed his own mother. He removed heart of his mother in his hands. He carried it hurriedly to his girlfriend. While he was walking fast, he stumbled upon a stone and fell. Immediately, he heard a familiar whisper in his ears. That voice was similar to his mother’s voice. He got startled and began to look everywhere. He couldn’t see any human beings. He looked carefully and realised that his mother’s heart was speaking. That heart lovingly asked him, “son, did you hurt yourself?” When he heard his mother’s voice he began to cry out with great remorse. He wanted his mother back but it was too late, it was too late.
That is the heart of mother. Mother’s heart always beats for her children. However wrong they may have been, her love doesn’t change. My mother has immense love for me. Even at the slightest of cough or sneeze she will immediately instruct me to take some medication. Dear friends, value your loved ones when they are with you before they go on the journey from where people don’t return. This story is inspired by a commandment given in the Holy Bible:
Ephesians 6:1-3 NASBS Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. [2] Honor YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER (which is the first commandment with a promise), [3] SO THAT IT MAY BE WELL WITH YOU, AND THAT YOU MAY LIVE LONG ON THE EARTH.
This is one of the first commandment with a promise. God wants us to obey our parents. God wants us to honour our parents. If we do this then we will see better days of our lives. My own reflection

When you were born It was a proud moment I was overjoyed Holding a tiny baby
You brought joy You brought giggling You brought Lullaby You made us parents
I became dad Proud of you baby You are my treasure You are most precious
My mom said She is your reflection She resembles you I was amazed
I was amazed To see my own image You are my reflection Wonderfully and fearfully made
A poem by the Bible blogger
These lines are inspired by the scriptures from the Holy Bible.
Psalm 139:14 NASBS I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well.

How is God like?

The difficult question

The most difficult question to answer is “how God is like?” It is very difficult to answer because no one has seen God. The following explanation is my own personal discovery. I found the most simplified answer to this question in the Holy Bible.
1 John 4:16 NASBS We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.

New revelation

This is quite shocking explanation. Everyone has heard, “love is divine” but only few people know, “God is love.” The above scripture quote highlights the most important attribute of God. God is love. God is full of love. He loves us immensely. He actually loves us more than we can love ourselves. This is unbelievable but it is so real. Who taught human beings to love each other? Have you ever thought about it? I have discovered an answer for this question in following scripture quote.
1 John 4:19 NASBS We love, because He first loved us.

The origin of love

The foremost reason we love others because God loved us. Because God has poured out his own love in our hearts that is why we can love. We humans have no sustainable source of love. God supplies us with his unfailing love. For example, my parents love me because they were taught by God. I love them back because I learnt it from them and God showed me how to love them. Please read below quote.
Romans 5:5 NASBS and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

The proof of love

God has proved his own love towards us in an amazing manner. We humans love in words however God loves manifested in action. Let me give you an example.
Romans 5:8 NASBS But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

We are loved by God

We have a great proof of God’s love when we see God sent His son to die for us on the cross. Who can sacrifice his own son for the sake of love for another human being? This kind of love is possible only with God.

God is love. Where there is love, there is God. Human understanding of love revolves around romantic love but God’s love is a highest quality of love which is far above human parameters of love. May the good Lord Jesus fill our hearts with his love so that it may overflow to others around us. Many blessings to you all. I am sending this message with lots of love. Please feel free to express your views on this post. ©2019

Where lies the true beauty?

The idiom It is so true that “beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.” This idiom originated somewhere in 3rd century. It was first used by Margaret Wolfe Hungerford in 1878. The meaning of idiom It simply means that the definition of beauty differs from person to person. What appears beautiful to one may not appear beautiful to another. I personally believe that everything is beautiful in its own realm. We only need beautiful eyes to behold the hidden beauty in everything. The measurement How do we measure beauty? I think it is a complicated process. I would like to leave it to the beauty pageant experts. However all of us have some yardsticks to measure beauty. Types of beauties There are two kinds of beauties. The external and internal beauties. We usually spend considerable time to improve our external beauty. The market is flooded with beauty products. We usually neglect the next type of beauty. The internal type There is another beauty which is invisible to eyes but it is true and lasting beauty. This is the inner beauty of heart. This internal quality has ability to transform even an externally ugly person into a beautiful person.
1 Peter 3:3-4 NASBS Your adornment must not be merely external-braiding the hair, and wearing gold jewelry, or putting on dresses; [4] but let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God.
The quote Allow me to introduce the above mentioned quote from the Holy Bible. It highlights the innermost beauty. A person may appear externally beautiful and attractive however when we get closer we realise that this person doesn’t possess matching inner qualities. The essential qualities There are two qualities mentioned which can impart imperishable beauty. These qualities are gentle and quiet spirit. The person has lot of humility and also is peace loving. This person is free from self-pride and prejudice. These qualities are very precious in the eyes of God. Good is not impressed with external beauty. He is interested in the internal beauty of heart. What kind of beauty are you searching for? Conclusion The true beauty lies in the our beautiful eyes. There are two qualities which can impart imperishable beauty to our hearts. The gentleness and peacefulness. May Lord Jesus Christ help each of us to bring forth the fruit of the Holy Spirit namely gentleness and self-control. Many blessings to you.
This good inner qualities have ability to transform an externally ugly person into a beautiful person. _ the Bible blogger

How can I repay you mom?

Hi friends,

This is my first humble attempt to pen a poem. I hope you will like it.

You carried me in your
Womb For nine months
You suffered severe pain
To bring me into the world
How can I repay you mom?

You gave me your milk
You took care of me
You washed me
You fed me
How can I repay you mom?

When I cried you cried
You smiled to make me smile
You taught me to walk
You taught me to talk
How can I repay you mom?

You gave your everything
You gave me your time
You gave me your energy
You gave me everything
How can I repay you my dear mom?

I know that your love is priceless
Your life is priceless
You are a blessing and gift of God
You are more valuable than all my wealth
I can’t repay you mom for everything

Why I hated some people?

I used to hate some people. The first person whom I used to hate was myself. Not because I am a bad guy. I was very sensitive to my own sinful nature. Whenever I used to indulge myself in sinful act, immediately I would be remorseful to such an extent that it was nothing less than hatred.

Titus 3:3 NASBS
For we also once were foolish ourselves, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, spending our life in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another.

I hated the teacher who hit me so hard that I pissed in my own pants. I hated my head of the department who insulted me in front of other staff members. This hate list is endless. Dear friends, I haven’t forgotten all those who troubled me as a young boy and man.

If you ask me whether I could forgive them? My answer is YES. I have forgiven them totally. I don’t have anything against them. The reason I could forgive them was only because Jesus Christ forgave me so much. I am no less sinner than those guys who did harm me.

Matthew 6:15 NASBS
But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.

It wasn’t easy to forgive those who inflicted wounds. But Jesus Christ gave me grace and healed my wounds. He helped me to forgive each one of them. I could sleep peacefully. I am assured that in forgiveness is my healing. I was convinced that if Christ Jesus could forgive His tormentors from the cross. I am not crucified but definitely I can choose to forgive my transgressors.

Luke 23:34 NASBS
But Jesus was saying, “Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.” And they cast lots, dividing up His garments among themselves.

KJV with strong’s application
I don’t think I had the power in myself to forgive but I believe that Christ empowered me to forgive those who hurt me. God gave me grace to forgive myself as well. I could comprehend my own limitations and failures. He is providing me the grace to love those whom I once hated.

I don’t think I had the power in myself to forgive but I believe that Christ empowered me to forgive those who hurt me. _ Bible blogger

Whom to remember always?

There are some people whom we can never forget. These are the people who make home in our hearts. Yes, I have come across different people in my life. Some of them have become fixed in my memory, while others I have completely forgotten.

Most unforgettable

The most important people whom I can never forget are my family members. My parents, my brothers, my wife, my daughter, my brothers families, My close relatives and friends. They are my life. How can I forget them?

Uttermost unforgettable

The list is endless. The last but not the least, You, my dear blogging community, I will never forget you. Your likes, your valuable comments and encouragement, your support have fashioned my thoughts. I can’t forget any one of you guys. I appreciate your love and support,

A command to remember

Many years ago, God spoke to me. He told me to remember something. I quote from the Bible.

Ecclesiastes 12:1 NASBS
Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years draw near when you will say, “I have no delight in them.”

Remember me

This happened when I was a young boy. I was quite surprised. God was asking me to remember Him. I was wondering what does it mean to remember Him. I understood that it meant believing Him from my youth.

A great choice

I am glad that I made that Choice to trust Him when I could trust Him. It’s very hard now to remember anyone. I have never seen, heard God. But God has given me such convictions that it doesn’t matter that He is invisible. I can feel His presence from the day I believed Him.

From my youth days, I have decided to believe God; to remember and acknowledge Him in all the affairs of my life. _ Bible blogger

I would like to as you my dear friend. Are you remembering your creator?

My struggle with Laziness!

Hi friends.

Sleep addiction

I am a great fan of sleep. If I am given an opportunity to sleep, I will have no difficulty to remain sleeping for many hours. This type of love for sleep can be troublesome.

Spending too much time in bed is a sign of laziness. The lazy person seeks more excuses for sleeping. There is one quote in proverbs 24:33-34. It describes the habits of a lazy person. The lazy person is slack towards his own work. He postpones his jobs.

Consequences of laziness

The scripture warns that such kind of laziness will invite poverty. Suppose, a farmer doesn’t do his job in the due time, then he will never have grains for the off season. He will be pushed in to poverty.

Proverbs 24:33-34 NASBS

“A little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to rest,” [34] Then your poverty will come as a robber And your want like an armed man.

Fight laziness

Therefore, we have to fight against our own self. We have to wrestle against our own laziness. Paul took a decision to discipline his own body and bring it under control. We have to work hard to keep our own passions under tight control.

1 Corinthians 9:27 NASBS

but I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.

May God help us to achieve this goal in this new year.

I welcome your comments.

Are you a dream chaser?

Our dreams

All of us dream. I too have dreams. Often times I have forgotten my dream which I saw previous night. Some dreams were of fantasy type. Some dreams have become true. Some of them still remain as dreams.

Types of dreams

Yes, we dream of two kinds of dreams. All this while I was referring to dreams that we dream in sleep. These we dream with eyes closed. There are other dreams which capture our imagination. The dreams which we see with our eyes open. Yes, I am referring to things which we would like to make a reality.

Dream chaser

I am a dream chaser! Are you a dream chaser? There are many who pursue their dreams. They are the achieves. They don’t settle down with just good. They go after the best.

Degree program

I had a great dream of pursuing a degree course from a foreign country. I knew that this dream will be an impossible from the point of my circumstances. But at the same time, deep down in my heart I knew that “All things are possible with God.”

Selection process

Although I never thought that I would ever be selected for such program. I decided to put in my application. It was really a tough journey in terms of gathering all the required documents. The financial burden was huge.

Dream come true

To my own surprise I got selected for a Master’s degree program. I was aiming for an online program as I could not travel leaving my family and job. It was really a dream come true. I have already completed two terms and I managed to do better.

Promise of God

As I was thinking of this post, I came across a beautiful promise in the scripture.(Please see below for the quote). The Lord has promised to pour of His spirit. The result of this anointment would be, that the sons and daughters will prophesy. Young men will see visions. The old men will see dreams.

Visions and dreams of God

Dear friend, what vision God is showing you? What dream the Lord is showing you? Open your eyes and you will see it.

Acts 2:17 KJVS
And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.

As I was in the last year….so I will be in the new year

I can never claim that I am as I was in last year. I can sense change in me everyday. I can see more silver hair on my head than year before. My hairline is receding more backwards.

Energy levels are waxing and waning. Weight is equally fluctuating. All these are signs of aging. Yes I am changing, which is not reversible.

I can see the world around me changing. My daughter is growing at fast pace. My wife is aging along with me. My friends have changed. Basically nothing remains same. Change is something which is always constant.

On 31 Dec, last year for a watch night service, my ailing mother recieved a wonderful scripture promise for the year 2019. I quote the promise, “As I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

My mom is a woman of faith. As soon as she read those words, her aged eyes brightened and she began to smile with a great joy. She was infused with a great assurance. She could sense her God whisper that as He was with Moses and Joshua, He will be with her in this new year.

In this ever-changing world, there is only one person who never changes and never dies, this is our almighty God. _ Bible blogger

I was equally encouraged to see my mom full of joy which only God’s words could produce. I tried to reassure her and failed again and again. But God’s words have power. I was thinking about those words. I was reminded that in this ever-changing world, there is only one person who can never change. This person is my mom’s mighty God.

Joshua 1:5 KJVS

There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

What are your new year resolutions?

Hi friends,

In the beginning I wish you all a blessed, peaceful, cheerful, healthful and successful New year.

New Resolutions

Everyone makes new year resolutions. I used to make resolutions enthusiastically on 1st Jan and start breaking them on 2nd Jan.

The cycle

I got frustrated with this cycle of making and breaking resolutions. So this year I have decided on a brand new resolution. You must be eager to know it. My new year resolution is…..

My new year resolution is not to make any new resolutions.😝 _ Bible blogger

Follow yours

I am not discouraging anyone from following their own resolutions. Please continue your resolutions if you can follow them. Even if you are not 100% successful.

More practical

I feel that it would be more practical to set some achievable goals for 2019. It is pointless to set goals which are not feasible. Following are my own opinions about the goals for this year.

Finish unfinished

I have decided to finish up with my ongoing projects. I am in the middle of my online masters degree program. I am into teaching and therefore want to become better teacher. I teach at professional degree course. I would like to excel in my profession as well.

Spiritual growth

As you are aware that I am also active in spiritual matters. I would like to see myself growing in my faith in Christ Jesus. I would like to practice my faith not merely in speech or writing. I would like to be more practical this year.

Relying on the Lord

I am aware that all of the above is impossible with my own strength. I am relying on my Lord Jesus Christ for supply of His grace. Without His supply of a abundant grace I will continue to fail to accomplish my goals.

Sufficiency in Christ

I want to attain certain degree of sufficiency in everything. I am aware of my own insufficiencies. I need to replenish them on daily basis. Lord Jesus is able to supply all the necessary provisions to obey Him.

2 Corinthians 9:8 NASBS

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed;

Thus says the Lord: Go quickly and tell…..

Hi friends, wishing you a joyous, peaceful, cheerful, healthful and successful New year 2019.

I was wondering, what does the Lord has message to me as I enter in this new year. God led me to this scripture quote Matthew 28:7. I was quite encouraged when I read those words. These words have ministered to me.

The context of this scripture portion is pertaining to the resurrection of Jesus Christ. But I found an application for New year. The two Marys came to the grave and encountered an angel. The Angel of the Lord said that He is risen and gave them a task.

The task was to be executed quickly, a message to be delivered to the disciples of Christ Jesus. He said, “He (Jesus Christ) is going ahead of you.” This phrase touched me.

This message unleashed a great hope. My Lord Jesus Christ is going ahead of me in 2019. Any trouble or problem He will tackle and settle. I can just be at peace in The Lord. I don’t have to wage war, as the captain of my life is in front of me to defend me.

Any unforeseen trouble or problem comes in the New year, my Lord Jesus will tackle and settle it. I can be at peace in The Lord throughout 2019. _ Bible blogger

What can harm me? What can discourage me? Nothing, nothing absolutely nothing. He is able to keep me and my family from all the pestilence. Glory to His mighty name.

Hallelujah ✋ hallelujah ✋ hallelujah ✋

Matthew 28:7 NASBS

Go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from the dead; and behold, He is going ahead of you into Galilee, there you will see Him; behold, I have told you.”

What are your expectations for new year 2019?

Today is the last day of year 2018.

Good bye old year 2018 and welcome new year 2019.

Hi friends. How would you rate year 2018? Will you be able to give it five stars? I am enthusiastic, I would like to give it five stars. Not because everything was fine with me. No, at times I faced disappointments. I had my own failures. I lost my grandmother.

I look back at 2018 and I am grateful to God for keeping me safe. I am grateful that He took care of my family. He provided everything I was in need during last 365 days. God gave me soundness of heart, mind and body.

What should I expect to happen in year 2019? Will it be better than 2018? These are some of the questions which boggle our minds.

It doesn’t depend on how much I wish the new year to be the best for me. It totally depends on God who blesses each one of us. _ Bible blogger

I know that there will be problems and difficulties of varying degrees which I may come across. But I am equally sure that my Lord is always with me. In fact He can see the future more clearly than anyone else.

I choose to entrust 2019 in His loving hands. I choose to do my part with full enthusiasm.

I understand that I am a new person because of my faith in Christ Jesus. He has changed my perspective, I don’t look at things from old disheartened perspective. I look at things with renewed mind and hope. In Christ Jesus, the future is always bright.

Let us press on with a firm faith in our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:17 NASBS
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

Do you have Readiness of mind?

Everyday life has some new lessons to teach us however we fail to learn it. What could be the reasons for this failure to learn? I think our unpreparedness of mind and heart is responsible for this phenomenon.

The preparedness of mind and heart is prerequisite for learning any new concept.

Greater the hunger for truth, greatly we will be satisfied with truth.

_Bible blogger

Only such kind of quest and hunger can be satisfied by teaching and learning activities.

Paul and Silas were deputed to Berea to teach the thriving church over there. The Bereans were noble people. They eagerly heard teachings of Paul and Silas. They taught them about Christ Jesus in the scripture. They went home and verified the teachings of Paul and Silas.

This kind of dedication and commitment to the scripture is remarkable. The Bereans, once they were at home they devoted their time and energy to study the scriptures. They were hungry to learn the truth.

Dear friend, we have a great lesson to learn from the example of Bereans. They were equipped with readiness of mind. They were teachable and receptive to the scripture. They were seekers, they dug into the scripture to learn the truth and whole truth about Jesus. May God bless us with similar zeal to know Jesus our Lord.

Acts 17:11 KJVS
These (Bereans) were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

Differently abled and obedient: A story

This is a story of a strong young man. This person was a handsome guy. His wife came to saving faith in Jesus Christ. This man was quite hurt by this development. He didn’t approve of this step taken by his wife.

The wife obeyed the Lord by recieving water baptism. The man was more upset but didn’t hinder his wife from attending the fellowship. He continued to be unhappy about this whole matter.

One fine day, this healthy, hale and hearty guy got sick. His condition deteriorated so quickly that he required admission to a hospital. Gradually he developed signs of meningitis. The doctors suspected it to be brain infection.

Finally it turned out to be a chronic brain infection. The brain was so severely affected that his body began to go into contracture. He couldn’t see things properly. The church members offered help.

The wife had a tough time to go through this long ordeal. She had to manage him and three kids as well. She began to go financially weak. Although she was having so many difficulties, she never cursed her God.

She graciously accepted her lot. Eventually her husband was discharged as a crippled man confined to a wheelchair.

He came walking but left on a wheelchair.

Slowly, as the time passed, he discovered the love of Christ Jesus in his life. He got attracted to Jesus. He believed in Him. He expressed his desire to obey the Lord in the waters of baptism.

Now, after seventeen years of disability he was given water baptism as per his request. He was seen overexcited about his decision. He was carried to the place of baptism on wheelchair. The baptizer lifted him up in his arms and carried him for the ceremony. He was so happy.

They dipped him in the waters after ensuring all precautions. I could see the joy on his face.

Although he was disabled yet he learnt to be obedient.

His wife rejoiced to see her disobedient husband obeying the Lord.

I was quite touched when I saw this with my own eyes. Dear friend, this is not a fiction, it’s a real-life experience.

This testimony proved that the Lord honored the faith of wife. She didn’t give up on her husband. She didn’t renounce her faith in Jesus. Jesus Christ brought her disabled husband to the saving faith in Him.

No matter how things seem impossible, God will make them possible. _ Bible blogger

How much do we value Simplicity?

Simplicity is not valued in today’s world. A simple and uncomplicated person is considered as old fashioned. The simple person is unfit for the present complicated and competitive world.

Simplicity is the quality of being easy to understand and yet people don’t get it. They simply don’t understand simplicity.

Simplicity is a virtue which is free from pretence and hypocrisy.

In the world, everything is so much complicated. I am a fan of simplicity. I was a man of simple nature and few words. People would consider me as uncool guy. They would avoid me as I couldn’t speak complicated language. People would avoid associating with me. I began to portray myself a bit sophisticated and elegant. People started liking it got attracted to this change in me.

Dear friends, there is also a kind of simplicity in Christ. The message of cross is very simple and easy. Most people can’t believe the simple things about the faith facts of Bible.

Trusting in the finished work of Jesus Christ gives eternal life is a most simple truth. _bible blogger

But that is the way God made a plan for salvation of mankind.

The Satan wants to complicate this simplicity by adding many burdens to the simple faith in Jesus Christ. Paul was quite worried about Corinthians that they would be misguided from their sincere faith in Jesus Christ. Dear friend let us continue with our life journey by holding on to the Lord.

2 Corinthians 11:3 KJVS
But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

Abundant blessings on all my readers.

What is the ultimate message of Christmas?

What is the ultimate message of Christmas? This is the most important question which need to be answered.

The message of Christmas is that, “God loves you and He sent His own son Jesus Christ to die for you.” God became flesh and dwelt among us. He was seen, touched and heard by His disciples.

He lived a very simple life. When the hour of His death approached He suffered and died for the whole mankind. He did it to achieve forgiveness of sin. Through His death we have been saved.

Death could not hold Him back, He resurrected from the dead. He ascended to heaven. He has promised to return to receive everyone who believes in Him. He is making mansions for His own. This is the mystery of Godliness.

The ultimate story of Christmas is the journey of Jesus Christ from cradle to cross and from cross to glory and from glory to His return to take us to glory. _ Bible blogger

Dear friend, let us live in the reality of this confession no matter what problems and difficulties we have to face in this world. Jesus Christ the King is always with you.

1 Timothy 3:16 NASBS
By common confession, great is the mystery of godliness: He who was revealed in the flesh, Was vindicated in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Proclaimed among the nations, Believed on in the world, Taken up in glory.

This concludes series on Christmas related posts.

Abundant blessings on all my readers.

Where is the newborn king?

The Magi from east showed up in Jerusalem and shocked everyone. They were searching for a newborn King of Jews.

Jesus was born in Bethlehem and only few people knew about it. God is super intelligent, He sent eastern scientists and astrologers to Jerusalem to bring the greatest news to the King Herod and whole Jerusalem.

They were supernaturally guided by the extraterrestrial body (Star) and it led them up to Jerusalem and then the star became invisible. They were bit lost and inquired with everyone. The Herod immediately summoned Jewish scholars to locate the place of birth of Messiah.

They redirected Magi to Bethlehem. After their meeting with Herod, the star miraculously reappeared and led them to the house where Jesus and his family were residing. The Magi offered gifts worthy to be offered to the King.

Magi weren’t disappointed with the size of the King (Jesus was a tiny baby, they knew was the king), His poor parents and poverty-stricken circumstances. _ Bible blogger

They worshipped Him and went back to their own country. Today you and me are the guiding stars. We have the capacity to lead others to Christ Jesus the king. We can worship this King wholeheartedly.

Matthew 2:1-2 NASBS
Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem, saying, [2] “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him.”

God bless you dear readers.

The birth of Savior, the Messiah

It was a difficult moment for Mary, there was no place for her to deliver her baby. She delivered her firstborn Son (Jesus) and laid Him in a manger. He didn’t even have a decent cradle.

During the first Christmas, no one lit a star, there weren’t any fancy decorations. Mary and Joseph weren’t wealthy people. The savior began his journey in such a humble manner. He wasn’t ashamed to be born in a stable.

Jesus could have chosen the best palace to be born, but He chose to be born in a stable.

The birth of Messiah was heralded by the angel of God to shepherds. In those days, the shepherd community was most despised. Such despised people were the first to know the birth of the savior. They even heard Christmas carols first time from the angels from heaven.

This news was not to be kept secret rather it was to be shared with all the people of world.

The birth of Christ Jesus brought a great Joy for the world. Dear friend, are you rejoicing in the birth of your saviour, who is Messiah.

Luke 2:10-11 NASBS
But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; [11] for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

I wish a blessed Christmas to all.

Joseph, Thus you shall call His name……..

When Joseph heard that his fiancee was expecting a baby, he decided to divorce her secretly. That was a righteous decision he was contemplating.

God was very kind to both of them, He sent an angel to intervene. He prevented Joseph from making this blunder.

Angel told him that this baby is conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit. “Do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. She is going to deliver a Son.” The angel said.

You shall call His name Jesus (Yeshua in Hebrew) which means Yehovah is salvation. This little baby will “save His people from their sins.”

The description of His job was wrapped in His name. _ Bible blogger

This child will eventually die for the salvation of all people of the world. He will save them from the penalty of their Sin. What a glorious prophesy it was before this baby could come into the world. Dear friend, Rejoice because of the first Christmas which took place more than 2000 years ago.

Matthew 1:20-21 NASBS
But when he had considered this, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for the Child who has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. [21] She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”
