The birth of Immanuel

Hi friends. Christmas celebrations are visible all around. People are busy with decorations and baking. There is so much of excitement.

There was this prophesy with regards to the virgin birth of Jesus Christ. This prophesy was given to the Jewish people through the prophet Isaiah almost 700 hundred years before.

Isaiah 7:14 NASBS
Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.

The Virgin will be with a child and give birth to a son. She will call His name Immanuel which means “God with us.” This prophesy was fulfilled in Christ Jesus. The birth of Jesus Christ was a great miracle.

Matthew 1:23 NASBS

He was born supernaturally. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit. He was God among His own people. The tragedy was that His own didn’t believe in Him. Today people like to celebrate Christmas but no body has time to consider the birthday boy. He is sort of forgotten completely. Dear friend please spare a moment to think about this Immanuel. He is God with you. He is always for you.

Have a blessed Christmas season.

Thus you shall say to the people of nations…….

Hi everyone. The following is a wonderful message to everyone around the world. There is a great message of hope for all the people.

There is a mention of great light which is going to brighten the gloomy lives of people all over the earth. Sunrise is something we all eagerly await after going through a dark night full of groaning.

The early morning sunshine brings along the joy of a new day. It rejuvenates a great hope of another new beginning.

We need to forget what happened yesterday to enjoy today.__bibleblogger

The scripture quote below is the prophesy which was fulfilled in Christ Jesus. Jesus Christ came as the great light. He was born to destroy the darkness of sin and death. He defeated both of these by his own life, death and resurrection.

Matthew 4:15-16 NASBS

Christ is no longer going to be born in a manger. The greatest miracle is that, Christ wants to be born into your heart! Let this Christmas season begin with the birth of Christ Jesus in our hearts. Are you ready for this?

2 Peter 1:19 NASBS
So we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts.

Merry Christmas to you dear friends.

Thus you shall say to my sheep……

Hi dear friend. This is an encouragement to everyone who considers himself/herself as the sheep of Jesus Christ, the shepherd.

We are living in a world full of dangers lurking at every corner. Jesus Christ the shepherd is giving an assurance of His mighty presence with you.

He is willing to protect you against the devil who wants to rob and destroy the sheep. Jesus Christ is the good shepherd since He gave His own life to save us.

He is still speaking. His voice is recognised by His own sheep. He knows His sheep and they follow Him. Dear friend, are you able to listen to His voice?

John 10:11 NASBS
“I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.

John 10:27 NASBS
My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me;

Thus you shall say to the jealous……

Today one of my colleague got awarded. Congratulations dear friend! This person got this award due to shear hard work. I am going to congratulate this person as soon as I meet in person.

When I first got the news of this award, I was suddenly gripped by the sense of jealousy. I was shocked to find myself having jealous feeling towards my own co-worker. I had forgotten that I am still prone to this feeling.

I was kind of ashamed of myself that even after following the Lord for so many years, I am still vulnerable to jealousy. It was a humbling experience. I was made aware of my own flaws. I realised that there are many areas in which I need to be sanctified. Jealousy is one of them, there are many more areas where I need improvement.

This is the message Jesus Christ gave to me. He said that you are not walking in my ways. Look inside, you are full of jealousy and strife. You are walking by the desires of human nature.

Dear Lord, I repent of my jealousy. I ask you to pardon me. I request you Lord for grace to overcome my jealousy completely. In Jesus name.

1 Corinthians 3:3 NASBS
for you are still fleshly. For since there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not fleshly, and are you not walking like mere men?

Thus you shall say to the bruised…….

It is easy to heal the external bruises than the internal ones. Lord Jesus understands our bruises. He knows all about our troubles. He knows our breaking point. He knows our melting point. He knows very thoughts of our minds.

God is not in the business of breaking our hearts rather He is busy with mending our broken hearts.

He wants to heal each and every bruise. He wants to reignite the spark that has been lost. He knows we are gradually sleeping into lukewarm state. He will rise up like the Sun. He will strengthen us. He will bring healing in His wings.

Malachi 4:2 NASBS
“But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and skip about like calves from the stall.

He will give you victory over everything that is causing you to be bruised. He is on your side. He is not going to leave you. Lo, He is always with you till the end of the age.

Matthew 12:20 KJVS
A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.

Thus you shall say to the weak………

Weakness is human. I am fully aware of my own weaknesses and limitations. There are many things which I can’t do. This realisation can cause great discouragement.

I am not sure what is causing discouragement to my readers. It could be some sickness, some kind of disability or Some kind of mental stress.

To the weak, the Lord Jesus Christ has a powerful message. He says, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” This is exactly what Paul was convinced.

Jesus Christ can’t exhibit His power through the strong person, He chooses to manifest it through weak person. Paul said that, “I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.”

So, instead of giving into the weaknesses, choose to rise up above your weaknesses and you would soon discover that you are being supplied with supernatural power to serve God and people. So Arise, Arise, Arise in Jesus name. The scripture is encouraging you to confess, “let the weak say, I am strong.” So say it loudly and screamingly, “I am strong in the Lord.”

Joel 3:10 KJVS
Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.

2 Corinthians 12:9 NASBS
And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.

Thus you shall say to the angry……

Anger is an important part of human nature. I don’t think there is anyone who doesn’t get angry. We all feel angry at some point of life.

When anger is allowed to simmer for long time it can flare up as rage. If it continues to grow then it can explode like a bomb. It can destroy everyone around it. Anger can cause many kinds of sicknesses to the angry person.

To the angry person Lord Jesus has a word. The scripture quotes, “Be angry and do not sin.” The Bible makes provision for us to be angry however with a condition. This anger shouldn’t become a cause of sin.

The scripture also makes it very clear, “The Sun of anger should set before the Sunset.” This is absolutely necessary otherwise it is an invitation to the devil to cause further damage. It takes ages to rectify what anger and rage have done in the history. Be watchful, learn to release your anger in a godly manner.

Personally, I was an angry young man. One day in the fit of rage I hit my elder brother with a bat on the head. Now I always feel guilty and ashamed of my actions at that time. How foolish I was! Today, I am changing by the grace of God. My anger doesn’t shoot up like a boiling mercury. It also leaves me instantly. I am thankful to God for his transforming work.

Ephesians 4:26-27 NASBS
Be ANGRY, AND yet DO NOT SIN; do not let the sun go down on your anger, [27] and do not give the devil an opportunity.

Thus you shall say to the impatient……..

This message is more applicable to me than anyone else. I confess that I am an impatient person. I would expect instant answers to my prayers and got easily disappointed when things didn’t work according to my way.

I am impatient with myself when I make mistakes. I am impatient with my spouse and children when they make errors. I am quick to complain and judge them.

I am not sure how many people are there, who have similar problem. To such impatient person the Lord has a message. He says, “Be patient with everyone.” This is so difficult task. We have to be patient. Start being patient with yourself and then extend this grace to everyone else.

Over the years, the Holy Spirit has been working in my heart, He is blooming flowers of patience within me. I am able to be patient with everyone but not all the time. But I am confident that one day I will be as patient as Lord is. He is always patient towards me and tolerates me.

We need to be patient till the Lord Jesus Christ returns. Have a patience filled today. Shalom.

1 Thessalonians 5:14 NASBS
We urge you, brethren, admonish the unruly, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with everyone.

James 5:8-9 NASBS
You too be patient; strengthen your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is near. [9] Do not complain, e brethren, against one another, so that you yourselves may not be judged; behold, the Judge is standing right f at the door.

Thus you shall say to the weeping……..

I know that you are hurt by so many things. You are crying bitterly. There is none to console. There is none to wipe your tears. I know that your heart is full of sorrow.

My dear friend, in such a difficult situation I have a good word from the God of Bible. He can see you crying and sobbing quietly. He has a great concern for you.

God is going to wipe your tears. He has said that He will wipe away every tear from your eyes. Can you believe that? Who has so much patience and time to wipe each and every tear? Only God is capable of doing it.

I am very sensitive guy. I used to get hurt very quickly. Today God has taken away my self-pity and has given sensitivity for others feelings. Listen to me, believe Him. He will change you and your circumstances.

Revelation 21:4 NASBS
and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.”

Thus you shall say to the unloved…….

It really, really hurts when we aren’t loved. Yes I know how it feels when we expect someone to love us and there is no one to love.

Dear friend, there is someone who loves you beyond your imagination. There is someone who loves you till today. He loves you even though you might be thinking that you are unlovable or unattractive. It doesn’t matter to him whether you are young or old, black or white, rich or poor, or anything else. He loves you unconditionally.

He loves you so passionately that he gave his one and only son to die for you. He is none other than Heavenly Father God. Do you relish in this love?

John 3:16 TPT
For this is how much God loved the world (your name)-he gave his one and only, unique Son(Jesus) as a gift (to die in your place). So now everyone who believes in him will never perish but experience everlasting life.

Thus you shall say to the anxious……

Dear friend,

Anxieties are so natural and common to all. They seem to appear from nowhere. I know that we always strive hard to conquer our anxious thoughts. The more we try to suppress them, they bounce back with much more strength.

Jesus Christ has a very encouraging message to those who are struggling with anxious thoughts. He is saying, “Be anxious for nothing.” Replace every anxious thought with a prayer. Whatever is bothering you, convert that concern into a short prayer.

Be thankful for all the good things the Lord has done. Our anxieties cause us to forget all the benefits that we have received. We need to be thankful for everything we have. Thankful attitude in coordination with the peace of God will help you to conquer all your anxious thoughts. You will be liberated from your anxieties.

I am a very anxious person. The above mentioned thoughts have helped me to overcome my anxious thoughts.

Philippians 4:6-7 NASBS
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. [7] And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Thus you shall say to the hopeless……

I can sense that you are facing some disappointment. You got discouraged due to some things which happened unexpectedly. This event is temporary. All disappointments are His appointments. Don’t loose your hope. He is able to rejuvenate your hope. Don’t give up your hope. You need to choose to be hopeful and do not be hopeless.

Colossians 1:27 NASBS
to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Jesus Christ has a message for you. He is reminding you that He is your hope. “Christ in you is the hope of your glory”. Christ is resides in you and is the source of your hope. Today you are sorrowful for some time but soon your cry will be turned in to dancing. Take courage and move forward in the strength of the Lord.

Go to Jesus, confess that He is your hope indeed.

Hebrews 6:19 NASBS
This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters within the veil,

Thus you shall say to the worried…….

Hi dear friend. I do understand that lot of worries are bothering you today. Some of your important jobs are not happening. You are getting worried about these things.

Jesus Christ has a great message to help you. He is saying, “Do not worry.” He says that, He along with you together can get it sorted. Don’t allow worries to choke your thoughts and creativity. He is calling us to live one day at a time. He is interested in liberating you from your worries that hold you back. Just shake off those worries.

One day a perfect solution will be found for your problem. You need to trust Him. Worrying is not the solution. It is going to escalate the matter. Choose to trust Him over temptation to worry.

Matthew 6:34 NASBS
“So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Thus you shall say to the doubtful………

It is never easy to believe. Lord Jesus Christ understands your struggles. He knows about all kinds of doubts that run forth and back in your mind. Jesus Christ has a message for all those who are struggling with faith. He speaks simple words, “do not be unbelieving but believing.” This statement profoundly influenced the apostle Thomas. Afterwards He never doubted his Lord anytime.

John 20:27 NASBS
Then He said to Thomas, “Reach here with your finger, and see My hands; and reach here your hand and put it into My side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing.”

Dear people let us meditate on this message specifically sent from God for his people

2 Chronicles 7:14 NASBS
and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

As He calmed the raging seas similarly He is able to make your heart be at peace. Just take it to the Lord in prayer. He will transform troubled heart into peaceful cheerful heart.

You are doubly mine: a story

Hi friends, this is another story which I have heard from someone and also have seen it as a part of Billy Graham’s Hope campaign some two decades ago. The story is as follows.

“In a coastal area, there was a small fishing community residing in a small village. There was a small family living in this community. This family had a small boy who used to attend his school daily.

One day his father bought a small toy boat. The boy was very excited to see this boat. He loved his toy boat very much. He would go to the seashore and would play with his boat for hours. He would try to maneuver his boat in the sea.

One evening as he was playing with his boat, he pushed his boat little more deep into the sea. He was expecting his boat to return back to him with the waves. To his marvel, his boat went deeper and deeper into the sea. After sometime he couldn’t see it.

It was the saddest day of his life because he lost his most beloved toy. He cried over this loss for days. He continued to go to his school. Everyday while returning from his school he would pass through an antique items store.

On afternoon, While he was walking back home, he happened to look through glass and saw display items. He noticed something familiar. He saw a toy boat. He looked at it very carefully. Sooner he realized that it was indeed his own lost boat.

He immediately entered the store and informed the store owner that it was his own boat. The owner of the store was very nice person. He said that he has no problem giving this boat back to the lad provided he could recover his investment. He told the boy to get ₹500 to recover his cost.

The boy was overjoyed with this development. He gave assurance that he will get the required money. He made one request to the owner to hold it till he arranged the outstanding balance. He gave away all his pockets money as an initial token payment.

He went home and began helping others. His worked very hard. He slowly and gradually collected money. Ultimately one day he managed to accumulate the required balance money. He took it to the owner. He gave it to the owner of the store. The owner gave the boat to the rightful owner. The boy was totally overwhelmed. He hugged his boat. He said to his boat, “You are doubly mine.”

The boy represents God, the boat is figuratively speaking of human beings, the payment is the blood of Jesus.

We always belonged to God by creation. We were lost. He repurchased us by paying the ransom blood of Jesus Christ. You are doubly belong to God. God loves you.

Thus you shall say to my disciples…….

Hi dear disciple of Jesus Christ, there is a great message for you from Jesus Christ. He is saying that He loves to be with you. He is going to be with you today. In fact, He is with you right now, at this very moment. He is going to be with you tomorrow and always, till the end.

He is not going to leave you alone, not even for a second. He is walking beside you. He is all around you. Nothing is going to snatch you out of His mighty hands. He is upholding you in His right hand.

He is invisible yet you can see Him with eyes of faith. His voice is not heard in audible range but His whisper resonates in your spirit. Go. Go. Go. Don’t stop for He is going ahead of you. Do not be afraid of anything.

My brush with law – A parable from vintage era

“It’s awful to be found guilty of transgressing the law. I must admit that I was arrested once. Years ago when I was a lad I had a brush with law. I roamed aimlessly about with fear and dread that I would be apprehended.

One dark night while walking on the lonely lightless street I felt a firm hand on my shoulder. I turned in constellation to see a big policeman and he announced that I am under arrest.

He immediately took me before the judge and judge asked if I could provide a counsel. I admitted that I had no one to defend me and no one to plead my case. And from back of that corner of the room came a man with a kindest smile I ever seen.

He stooped over me and asked if I were guilty and I confessed that I was. He began to plead my case before the sturn placid judge. He pleaded not for justice but for mercy.

I became aware that the judge had great respect to the one pleading my case and I later learnt that my advocate was the judge’s son. Thanks to the goodness and kindness of that advocate. I went out of that courtroom freeman in gratitude to him and I never had another brush with the law.”

This is a great story shared by Dr Billy Graham during the annual live radio message on the hour of decision program in 1953.

You can listen to the entire audio track👉 here.

The law is the law of God, the policeman is the Holy Spirit, the judge is God, the advocate is savior Jesus Christ.

Thanks for reading.

Trash🗑️ or Treasure💰: A piece of advice😁

Hi everyone 😁

I hope everything is going well with you.😇👍

Do you think there’s is any comparison between trash and treasure?🤔 Of course no!😅 What a silly question!😜

Trash bin🗑️

We all know the usefulness of trash bins! We collect all discarded items in trash bins. At the end of the day, whatever is collected in these bins will be ultimately destroyed. It should not be retrievable.

Treasure box💰

Similarly treasure is something precious. It is never kept open to all. It is kept under lock. It is never discarded but always guarded. It is something which is treasured above everything else. We would love to increase our treasures.

Life experiences

I apply the above knowledge to our day to day lives. In our daily lives we come across different situations and circumstances. We experience different people and events. Many are pleasant and some may be painful or vice versa.

Surprisingly we tend to treasure bad things. I don’t have explanation for this phenomenon. Good is always forgotten and bad is remembered more vividly.

The concept

I have developed a concept for my own practice. I call it trash and treasure bin concept. I give this tip to some of my students. Consider that you carry two bins wherever you go.

Trash it🚮

One bin is a trash bin and other is your treasure box. Always trash anything you consider bad in the trash bin and treasure whatever you think is good. Eventually whatever is in the trash bin will always gets self deleted. Never remove anything out from the trash bin. Never recycle it.

Treasure it🏆

The treasure is what is going to remain. The treasure is something you can remove out and never throw away. Treasure it and nurture it.

I would like to ask you dear friend, what have you stored in your treasure box of memory? Please reconsider what you are gathering in it. Please segregate it at the source. Remember to trash the unwanted and treasure the most important thing.😜

Happy journey of life.😅

Thanks for listening😊

The secret of happiness: Trust and obey 😇

The Hymn

You must have sang this hymn, “Trust and obey for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus but to trust and obey.”

You can listen to the hymn👉 here.

Childhood connection

This is one my favourite childhood hymns. I learnt it as a young boy when I had an opportunity to attend a Bible youth camp.

Impressed on the heart

I learnt it at that place with other boys and girls of my age. We sang it again and again till it sank into our hearts. Thanks to our camp organizers who took extra efforts to teach us beautiful hymns.

Two words

The two words gripped my heart, “trust and obey.” It created a lasting impression of what God required from that young boy. God spoke to me that he wants me to trust him and obey him throughout my life.

The hidden secret

That day I learnt the greatest secret of living a happy life in Christ. The secret was to trust my Jesus and obey his words. I have struggled with my youthful desires. Whenever I failed, these two words would convict me to return to my savior.

Assured Forgiveness

The trust in my Lord Jesus helped me to turn to him for forgiveness. After my failures I have always made new decisions and dedications, not to stray away. But failed again and again, it simply proved that I can’t fulfill God’s requirements with my strengths.

The godly sorrow

Failure to obey caused me severe pain of hurting my loving Jesus. I used to cry in secret. I would implore him to grant me forgiveness and grace to overcome. He always gave me assurance of his forgiveness. I am so thankful to the Lord. He is helping me to grow in him every day.

Thanks for listening.😇🙏

😋🍋🍌🥝Which is your favourite fruit?🍎🍓🍇😋

Fruits are the most important part of balanced diet. It is recommended in large quantities after the whole grain cereals and pulses. It is said that, “an apple a day keeps doctor away.”

Image courtesy by Bogdan Wankowicz at

Favourite fruit

We all have our favorites fruits. I am a great fan of fruits. I love all of them. I love the seasonal and locally grown fruits. They are yummy. 😋 But some people are fussy about fruits. The never generation has aversion towards fruits. Their taste buds are destroyed by the greatest enemy. This greatest enemy is sugar.

The Adams

Amazing thing is that our first parents Mr and Mrs Adams ate fruits in their first home in the garden of Eden. They had the most beautiful home in that wonderful place. They could eat fruit any tree except for one.

Blame game

I have always blamed both our parents for making a wrong choice!😥 They have had multiple choices to make. There must have been thousands of trees with medicinal properties from which they could have made the best choice.

Genesis 2:9 NASBS
Out of the ground the LORD God caused to grow every tree that is pleasing to the sight and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

I always thought that the tree of knowledge of good and evil was the most attractive. I was wrong, in fact each and every tree in the garden was pleasant and good for food.

What made the tree of knowledge of good and evil more attractive? It’s the command which forbade it’s consumption made it more interesting than others. They were tricked by Satan to think that God was robbing them of some great pleasure. Their curiosity made them to go after the forbidden fruit.

Missed opportunity

They totally missed out on the tree of Life. It appears like they didn’t even have one fruit of the tree of Life. The rest of the story we are all aware of. They lost everything. The fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil gave them knowledge but also brought curse, pain and slow death.

The fruit of tree of Life would have given them life forever. The enemy of their lives distracted them to something which deprived them of their peace and fellowship with their loving father God.

A Question

I want to pose a question to all of us. What would have been your choice between the fruits? Would you choose the fruit of tree of Life or tree of knowledge of good and evil? Think about it.

Probable answer

I believe we would have chosen the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil over tree of Life. Let me illustrate my point. What do you read the Holy Bible for? Do you read to gain knowledge? Or do you read it so that you will have life eternal?

Your choice

If your answer is yes to the first question then it’s like making the choice of fruit of knowledge. If your answer is yes to the subsequent question that implies that you are looking for life transformation through the analytical study of scripture.

Dear friend, let us examine our hearts intentions. May God help us to be pro-life. Make it a point to choose things pertaining to eternal life.

Hi friends 👋🤗

I am your friend Bible blogger 😇

It’s story time guys!😃 Would you like to listen to another story?😅 Oh! I can see some nodding and smiling faces.

Alright! Here is another story I heard from someone, I can’t recall🤔 who shared it but it is worth noting.

The story begins…….

“This incident took place in era of missionaries. I day a missionary couple was driving through a village in their vintage car. They noticed one thinly built middle aged woman carrying heavy load on her head.

This lady was poor and typically village woman. The missionary couple felt sorry for her. They decided to lessen her burden. They immediately stopped their car and offered her lift.

The tired lady was overwhelming grateful to this godly couple. The car began to move forward. The couple was seated in the front seats whereas the woman was seated at the back.

After a while the missionary man decided to look back to check on the guest. He was amazed that the woman was seated comfortably. One unique thing he noticed. Can you guess what did he find?

He discovered that the lady was seated with her load still on her head.😨😰 He was shocked. He was wondering why is this woman behaving in this manner.

He informed his wife. Missionary wife was equally astonished. She politely requested the woman to unload her burden. The woman replied humbly, “Saheb, you had mercy on me and allowed me to travel in this expensive car of yours. I am unworthy woman. I am so filthy and dirty and I don’t want to make your car more dirty by keeping my dirty burden down. I fine to keep it on my head.”

Missionary couple were left speechless. Eventually the woman got down near her village and expressed her gratitude and went her own way. The missionary went their way pondering about the nature of the self sufficient and hard working women folk of India.”

Our burden

All of us have some or the other burden. It could be some kind of worry or concern. We are conscious that we shouldn’t be carrying those burdens in our head however it is very difficult to unload those worrisome thoughts.

It is easy to unload physical burden but very difficult to unload burdens of cares of this world.

1 Peter 5:7 TPT
Pour out all your worries and stress upon him and leave them there, for he always tenderly cares for you.

Unload it

The Holy Bible encourages us to unload all our cares on the Lord. He can absorb all our worries, stresses, anxieties more than what we can generate and possess. “Leave them there and don’t ever take them back. It’s once for all.

He cares

The word of God says that He tenderly cares for us. He cares for how we feel. It is his desire that we should be carefree. Do you believe this?

What’s your decision?

What are you going to do with your burden? Often I did the same mistake. I would go to the Lord. I would keep my burden at the feet of the Lord. But just before leaving I would again pick up the same burdens saying in my mind, “Lord I don’t want to bother you with my burden. I will try to manage it myself.” What a foolishness! 😫

He is waiting

The Lord Jesus is patiently waiting for you to unload your load once for all at His feet. Go! Go! Go! Drop-it -off that load and you will be able to run your race at a pretty face pace.

Thanks for reading.

The day of salvation 😥😌

The wreckage of my car.😥 Copyright: God who saved me and my daughter.

Five years ago me and my daughter met with a major accident.

On the 23 November 2013 I was traveling to drop my daughter to the school. I was bit delayed in starting from home. I was speeding to catch up with time.

On a stretch of straight road I got distracted for a moment and I completely lost control of my vehicle. I wasn’t aware where and which direction my car was moving.

With a loud bang my car stopped. Then to my shock I realized that I had hit another on coming car. By the grace of God it wasn’t head on collision. Regularly I used to fasten seat belt for myself and my daughter. That day also I had used seat belt for my daughter however I didn’t use it for myself.

The impact was so strong that I hit the steering wheel. My body was aching. My daughter hit the door and sustained a minor cut on her left eyebrow. I was totally shaken. I couldn’t believe what had happened.

I saw two occupants of the other car approaching towards us angrily. I didn’t say a word to them. I hurriedly requested one of my acquaintances. I reached the hospital. They had to stitch fix the wound of my daughter.

The male occupant of the other vehicle sustained some injuries. He was also brought to the same hospital. I sent my daughter home after her treatment whereas I waited with the other guy until he was admitted to the hospital. The doctors informed that no major injuries took place. I was relieved of my worries.

The Lord Jesus saved me and my daughter. On that day if the other car was not present on the road at that point then both of us would have been tossed into to a low lying area. Most probably I would have been plunged through the windshield. It feels like me and my daughter had a second life.

Afterwards the opposite party turned hostile. The Lord sent different people to help me out of this mess. I was once again saved from the hostility of the other vehicle owners. God bless them. God didn’t allow them to succeed in any of their evil plans. I could sense God’s powerful presence throughout this experience. I can confidently confess that the Lord Jesus Christ was looking after my life and my family even in the dangerous circumstances.

This is the day of my salvation. Hallelujah ✋ Praise you Jesus. Love you Jesus.😘

Manage it before it damages!⚕️ 🤔

Oh! Did I puzzle you with this title?🤔

Greetings dear friends

So sorry, I didn’t mean to confuse you. In this post, i am referring to an important problem affecting humans. Any guesses about today’s topic of discussion?😊

Oh yeah! You got it guys!👍 I am referring to the problem of mental stress.😥 Is anyone out there who has never been through stress? If you never had stress, then you are a lucky person, because everyone goes through some amount of stress.🤗

My stress

I have personally gone through various types of stressful situations. ☹️ A mental stress is an acute agonizing condition. At times my stressful situations has caused many inconveniences to my own family. So now you will have some Idea, that I have come long way from being a stress filled person to an encourager. I was not able to manage my stress, in fact my stress was managing me.

Good stress

Stress can be a good thing. A tiny bit of mental stress is useful. It prepares us to meet the challenges. It is caused by sudden surge of normal chemicals (adrenaline and cortisol) in our bodies which are very critical for our performance.

Damaging stress

When stress levels exceed the normal capacity of handling then it can lead to unfolding of unfortunate events. Infrequent and occasional stress does help us to rise up to meet the challenges of life. However frequent and repetitive stressful situations can kill a person.

Effects of chronic stress

See what chronic stress can do to us. I quote, “Chronic stress disrupts nearly every system in your body. It can suppress your immune system, upset your digestive and reproductive systems, increase the risk of heart attack and stroke, and speed up the aging process. It can even rewire the brain, leaving you more vulnerable to anxiety, depression, and other mental health problems.” (Source)

Seek help!

If someone is suffering from signs and symptoms of chronic mental stress then that person should consult a doctor for help and management.

We have to learn to manage our stress effectively before it damages us irreversibly.

My remedy

I would like to share something which has helped me to overcome my stressful outbursts. I have wonderful godly friends. I used to discuss my anxiety issue with them. It has been stress lowering experience to discuss my fears and apprehensions with these godly friends. They have been my support system.

Christ healed my stress

The most important thing which has helped me a lot is my faith in Christ. I chose to believe him wholeheartedly. I believed his words. I would like to quote some scripture portion:

Matthew 6:34 TPT
Refuse to worry about tomorrow, but deal with each challenge that comes your way, one day at a time. Tomorrow will take care of itself.”

No worries

I decided not to worry, I decided to solve each challenge one at a time. Soon things were falling in right places.

Philippians 4:6 TPT
Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude. Tell him every detail of your life,

Praying is good stress killer

I was strongly recommended to pray a faith filled prayers. I prayed and told everything to Jesus. Jesus Christ gave me assurance that He is in absolute control over all my situations. Anxieties began to grow cold. They do bother me for a short while, but soon they vanish. Faith is a strong anti-stress element.

I received this wonderful quote from my Pastor friend: Pastor Lordson Roch.

In Christ if we don’t rest, stress will suppress , distress and oppress. – Lordson Roch

You can read more about his work at following address:

Life In Christ Today with Lordson Roch

Managing stress

Dear friend, what is it that is troubling your heart and mind? If you have faith in Christ then why don’t you take it in prayer to Him? Be assured that He will definitely answer your prayers.

So in conclusion I would like to encourage you, learn to manage stress before stress mismanage you!

God bless you dear friend for listening.

The servant who eventually became master. 😱

The scripture reference

Luke 16:13 TPT
It is impossible for a person to serve two masters at the same time. You will be forced to love one and reject the other. One master will be despised and the other will have your loyal devotion. It is no different with God and the wealth of this world. You must enthusiastically love one and definitively reject the other.”

Two masters

Everyone who has read the Bible will be aware of this scripture portion. There is a mention of two masters. The two masters mentioned refers to God and money.

Incomparable masters

There is no comparison between these two. God is supernatural and self-existent. Money is man-made and perishable. God is master because He created us. We are supposed to serve Him as we are created us for servitude.

The beginning

How does money become a master of man? Dear friends, money was not supposed to be the master. It was supposed to a servant of man. Money is an important tool for business transactions. It is a great channel to buy and sell.

Barter system

In olden days, people were doing transactions by repaying in kind. This is popularly known as the Barter system. For example, a field worker was paid in kind that is, he was given grains as his wages. Gradually money was introduced as a means of transactions. People understood value of things in monetary terms.

Gradually everything is valued not by its own merits rather by its financial worth. Everything has its own barcode. We are governed by the barcodes. Everyone knows the purchasing power of money.

Money is power

There is a general perception that money is power. Many think that money can buy each and everything. Money is a new age God. People are ready to do anything for money.

Money is master

Instead of controlling money, gradually we are controlled by the money. Money has become the master. Everyone is going after money. Money was supposed to be a servant instead it has become a master. Man is slowly becoming enslaved by the money. Who made it a master?

Love of money

Many fell in love with money. Many people can do anything for money. People are ready to kill for money. People are willing to sell elicit drugs for money. People are ready to sell their souls for money. People were supposed to love God and people and use Money. The situation is such that people love wealth and hate God and other people.

1 Timothy 6:10 NASBS
For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

Dear friend, let us keep money in his rightful place as a servant. Let us be careful not to allow money to become our master. Let us be mastered by God. Let us love God and people.

Thanks for listening.

From ungratefulness ☹️ to gratefulness 😊

Upside down world🌎

We are living in an ever changing world. The world is going through upside down orientation. Being grateful is considered a sign of foolishness and being ungrateful is celebrated as smartness. People are eager to receive gratitude but reluctant to give it to others.

Ungrateful generation👪

Even little children aren’t born with grateful attitude. When parents try to remind them about various hardships they faced to raise them. But the child replies with an indifferent attitude. They say to their parents that they haven’t done any favours, it was their duty. This is an example of ungrateful generation.

The future

See how well did the Bible predict the future! The Bible gives us the most grim picture of the future of the world. Please read a scripture quote.

2 Timothy 3:1-2 NASBS
But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. [2] For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,

These are the words of apostle Paul to Timothy. This was true in the first century and it is still valid for todays date. The people are becoming more selfish.

Spiritual depravity

The scripture also mentions about the ungrateful generation. The ungratefulness is linked to spiritual depravity. They haven’t yet connected with the creator God. The moment someone truly gets connected with the maker, at the same time he will become highly thankful person.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 NASBS
in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Be thankful for everything

The Bible instructs the followers of Christ Jesus to be thankful in everything. It easily said than done. It says to be thankful for everything. Everything includes all (good or bad). It simply means that whatever happens in your life, be thankful for it.

All things

Whether you are healthy or sick be thankful. Whether you are happy or sad be thankful. Whatever is your current circumstances, it is God’s will that you should be thankful for it.

Thank everyone

Today is the day of Thanksgiving. What are you waiting for? Thank everyone. Thank God for everything. Thank God for your life, your family, your relatives, your community. Thank God for everything. I bet that you will feel the paucity of words to express your gratitude to the Lord and everyone.

Happy Thanksgiving.🤗

Thanks for being thankful to everyone.

The test tube baby 🚼🐣

Expert talk

Couple of days ago I had a privilege to listen to a successful infertility expert. He was deliberating on the topic of test tube babies. He is the pioneer in field of test tube babies in our region.

Designer babies

I am sure that everyone knows the meaning of test tube baby. Let me give you a brief description of test tube babies. This is a medical technology wherein a human egg from a female and human sperm from a male partner are retrieved. The sperm in a conducive and sterile environment is injected into the egg in order to fertilize egg in a laboratory settings. The entire process happens outside human body.

The process is medically termed as In-vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment. This is one of the treatment modality available for infertility. The fertilized egg is allowed to grow in the artificial medium up to less than a week. Then it is transferred to the Womb of the lady.

Low success rate

The chances of developing this egg into a baby is around 30%. There are lot of supporting medications required to be consumed by the woman. In conclusion this is a wonderful scientific development. It is complicated process. It is costly preposition. It requires lots of patience as it riddled with repeated failures.

The first test tube baby

The first test tube baby turned 40 this year. Louise Joy Brown was the first test tube baby born in England on 25 July 1978. It is a one of the important events in the history of mankind.

You are a handcrafted

You may wonder! Why am I telling this to you? You are absolutely correct. This is to remind you about the great truth as regards to our lives. We are made and handcrafted by the maker.

Job 31:15 NASBS
“Did not He who made me in the womb make him, And the same one fashion us in the womb?”

God is that expert who fashions us inside our mother’s Womb.

Psalm 139:13 NASBS
For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb.

God is the one who can make our internal and external organs. The scientists haven’t figured out as of now to create the different organs of the baby.

Psalm 139:14 NASBS
I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well.

You are the miracle

Yes, I and you my dear friend are God’s amazing creation. We have to be grateful to our creator. He has made us so special. We are the miracle of God.

Be thankful

During this special time of Thanksgiving, will you join me to Thank our creator for this amazing life that he has gifted us. This life may be filled with various challenges however with the help of our savior and creator we can overcome each one of them.

Thanks for thinking about this.

Shalom God bless you dear friend.

It’s a matter of choice! 🤔

Our lives

What is life in a nutshell? I feel life is nothing but a sum total of different choices that we make on day today basis. At every juncture we have to be selective about everything. A wrong choice can land us in bad situation.

For example, Choosing a good understanding partner will make life beautiful whereas a wrong alliance will be the root cause of many problems.

Often, our decisions are influenced by so many factors. Young age, education, parents, friends can definitely have some amount of impact on our choices.

The U-turn

Sometimes it is possible to reverse our decisions if we realise early enough to take the corrective actions. If we have gone too far to turn back then it is impossible to get back to the right track.

God is faithful

Dear friends, I have already shared from my life how I was saved from wrong decisions. God is faithful, he didn’t allow me to make the wrong choices. He always slammed the wrong doors and didn’t allow the right door to shut down even though I never deserved it.

The family

For today’s meditation on the scripture, we are going visit the house of two sisters and one brother. You guessed it precisely. Yes, I am referring to Martha, Mary and Lazarus.

The right choice

Jesus Christ visited this family. While, Jesus was teaching and Mary was sitting at the feet of the Lord Jesus and listening to the good news about the kingdom of God.

The difficult choice

Martha decided to cook delicious food for the guest for the day, Jesus Christ. Martha had a great plan to make great food for their beloved Rabbi. Martha got overwhelmed by the cooking process as she was trying to manage all alone.

The grumbling

She began to grumble that her sister was just sitting idle whereas she is struggling. Jesus Christ had pity on her. Jesus Christ answered to her……

Luke 10:41-42 NASBS
But the Lord answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered about so many things; [42] but only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”

The necessary

Jesus Christ was saying to Martha, that she was equally had opportunity to choose to sit along with her sister to listen. That would have helped her a lot. That was something necessary for that day. Mary chose to sit at the feet of the Lord. This choice was a better choice.

The Conclusion

Dear friends, we get confused about what to choose when we encounter multiple choices. May the Lord of mercy be your guide to help you to make the right choice. You have privilege to take the matter to the Lord. You can also get some guidance from a senior spiritual person to help you to understand the pros and cons. The Lord has ability to undo whenever we fail.

God bless you.

🏃‍♀️🏃Running away from home 🏡🏃🏃‍♀️

Upsetting parents

Some children and youth are extremely upset with their parents and want to run away from them. I was doing a research for this article and I stumbled across shocking facts. 😱

Thinking of running away

There are dozens of websites🕸️ which actually give wrong guidance on how to run🏃 away from home. Some sites have instructions accompanied by pictures.😰 How ridiculous!😡

The following statistics will give you some idea about the seriousness of this issue:

“One in seven young people between the ages of 10 and 18 will run away.
Youth age 12 to 17 are more at risk of homelessness than adults. 75 percent of runaways are female” (source) (🖱️click here to visit the website)

Reasons for running

The commonest reasons for running away from home are family and economic problems. The physical, sexual abuse could be a strong driving force. Substance abuse and parental neglect are associated with children running away.

Consequences of running

The consequences of such drastic steps make these kids are vulnerable to physical and sexual assaults. They may become homeless and might be forced into prostitution. These kids eventually die early as compared to their counterparts who are living in the comfort of their homes.

Real story

Many years ago a young boy offended his father’s friend. This young boy was humiliated repeatedly by this so called friend. One day this boy retaliated this humiliation. The friend of his father got offended and his son slapped this boy in the face. The boy was totally shaken up with the unprecedented developments. Fearing that his father won’t forgive him, he decided to run away from his father. He boarded a bus going to another town. He decided to go to his mentor’s place. His mentor was quite upset with this boy. He immediately informed his parents about this event. He counseled him and sent him back to his home. This boy knew very little that his parents and siblings got worried about him. They searched him everywhere. They were very happy to receive their lost son. Would you like to meet that foolish boy? That boy is none other than myself, I am that boy.☹️

Psalm 139:7 NASBS
Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?

Thankful to God

After many years I realised that if I had not come back home, I would have missed so many things. I wouldn’t have completed my graduation. I don’t know what would have been my situation. I am so thankful to my God for taking care of this foolishness of mine.

Couldn’t escape

As the psalmist said, it was indeed true that I could run away from my father but I couldn’t escape from my God. His spirit was always with me and was guiding me. He directed my paths to my mentor who helped me to get back to my own family.

Thankful to mentor

I am grateful to my Christian mentor who didn’t misguide me. He was true man of God. He sent me home. He made sure that I don’t face any lashes when I get back home.

Thankful to my parents

I am very grateful to my parents, brothers and relatives and friends. They all forgave me and embraced me back. They welcome me back. Nobody accused or scolded me. Today I experience complete healing from those memories. I could forgive that friend of my father. I could forgive his son who slapped me in my face.

Thanks for listening.

Parenting rebellious children 😰

The Childless

Children are loved by all. Being a Childless couple used to always cause regrets to them for not having produced one. People run from pillar to post to conceive at least one child. The cost of treating an infertility is escalating, yet couple are ready to go for it.

The unpredictable

Suppose someone managed to convince a baby, there is absolutely no assurance how this child is going to be. The parents try their best to inculcate good manners and education etc in their children.

The rebellious spirit

In spite of best child rearing practices, there is no way to predict the future of this child. Often the child eventually may become rebellious. This is disastrous to the parents. It breaks their heart to the core.

The regret

The parents of such rebellious children always go through the feelings of regrets for giving birth to such a child. These parents will be the saddest parents.

The Choice

This is one of primary reason for many couples choosing not to go for a baby. They are couples who are happy to be without a baby. They feel the world is safe place without a babies. Some people feel happy that they didn’t contribute to the population boom.

Luke 3:38 NASBS
the son of Enosh, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God.

Adam’s Father

Who was the father of Adam? Many people have this question. The answer is very clear from the above mentioned scripture quote. God is Father of Adam. Since He is the Father of Adam, our forefather therefore He is also our Father as well.

Why create rebels?

Now, when God created Adam, He very well knew the future. He knew that Adam and Eve are going to rebel against Him. In spite of knowing this, why did God create Adam?

The compelling love

The answer is God loved Adam and Eve immensely. He took the risk of creating a human race which He very well knew is going to rebel. God also had the plan of salvation ready before the sin entered the human race. God’s ways are amazing and beyond all human comprehension.

Dear friend, let us love the rebellious children with the hope that they will one day encounter the unfailing love of Jesus Christ and get transformed into a new redeemed race.

Shalom 🕊️

God bless you.

Who touched me? 🤔

Image courtesy Public Domain pictures @

The sense

Touch is one of the basic senses with which we all are born. The person without sense of touch will have terrible time in this world.

The need

We all need to be touched by someone. When we are born we need a warm hug from our mother. This motherly touch keeps the baby from hypothermia. The close skin to skin care given by mother is life saving for the premature babies. This care known as kangaroo mother care (click to go to the link).

The comforting touch

There are wanted and unwanted touches. I will restrict myself to touch which is practiced in appropriate manner in right time with the permission. Do you remember when you were discouraged and someone came along and encouraged you by just placing hand over your shoulder? How much you must have been grateful for such gesture of goodwill.

The healing touch

Dear friends, human touch has healing powers. There is definitely difference between a doctor who doesn’t like to touch patients and the other doctor who regularly touches patients appropriately. Patients of the second doctor will experience faster healing.

Vigilant touch

Today the gesture of touching someone spontaneously is viewed as something offensive and objectionable. We have to think 💯 times before touching another human being. So be vigilant. Avoid unnecessary and unwelcome touch.

Who touched me?

In the scripture an incident is mentioned wherein Jesus asked a question, Who touched me?”

Luke 8:45 NASBS
And Jesus said, “Who is the one who touched Me?” And while they were all denying it, Peter said, “Master, the people are crowding and pressing in on You.”

The sickness

This is a story of a woman who had bleeding for 12 years. In spite of consulting best gynaecologist and in spite of draining all her resources she didn’t experience any improvement.

Luke 8:46 NASBS
But Jesus said, “Someone did touch Me, for I was aware that power had gone out of Me.”

The belief

This lady learnt about Jesus and she decided to go to him. It is possible that she was ashamed to discuss women issue with Jesus Christ. She believed in her heart that if she could touch him then she will be healed.

The faith in action

It was ceremonially unclean to touch a woman who was bleeding. She dared and touched the helm of his garment. She was instantly healed.

The healing

Usually Jesus Christ would touch the sick and heal them. In this instance, the sick person touched Jesus and received healing. The healing process practiced by Jesus did work in reverse order as well.

The liberation

I don’t believe that Jesus Christ was taken by surprise. Jesus Christ must have known the very thoughts and intentions of this woman. He inquired about this touch just to help this woman to come out of her fears and be liberated. He said go in peace.

The touch of faith

Jesus said to her that your faith has healed you. See the goodness of the Lord. He encouraged her as regards to her faith. Jesus honored her faith by healing her.

Dear reader, may God help us and use us to touch the lives of sick people around us. May we touch the Lord Jesus through our faith and receive the required power to help the wounded and suffering.

God bless you.

Inseparable 🤗

Solitary life

We human beings can’t survive without each other. We aren’t made to live a solitary life. But there is an exception to this notion. I read the story of the last of his tribe. Here is this lone survivor of his tribe which was wiped in 1970s and 1980s. This man survived many attacks on his life. He stays in the Amazon region.

The separation from our loved ones is always painful whether it is temporary or permanent. We are never prepared for it. We are always under impression that our loved ones will always be with us no matter what happens.

There are so many reasons which can bring separation. The foremost important thing that separates us is the death. The other thing that separates us is war. There are many people who have been displaced by the ongoing war like situations. The military service causes spouses to be separated for long periods. Divorce is equally important factor of separation. Sickness can lead to separation.

Psalm 27:10 NASBS
For my father and my mother have forsaken me, But the LORD will take me up.

Not forsaken

This is the reality of life. Due to some unresolvable differences between parents, the children may feel abandoned. The psalmist decided to take refuge in the Lord in such situations. There are so many children we encounter who have been abandoned by their own parents.

Isaiah 49:15 NASBS
“Can a woman forget her nursing child And have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, but I will not forget you.

Forsaken by mom

There are so many instances where the mother has abandoned newborn baby because of shame of delivering the unwanted baby out of wedlock. God said that this might happen in the world but God is not going to abandon his own people.

Romans 8:38-39 NASBS
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, [39] nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Inseparable love of God

Apostle Paul was convinced beyond all doubts that absolutely nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. I rejoice in such a relentless love God has for me. I cherish this amazing love of God. I feel there is nothing special in me that God should pour out so much love for me.

May we learn to cherish this love of God always and to reciprocate by loving the one who loves us.

God bless you.

Happy children’s day👶🧒

Hi everyone 👋

Welcome back 🙇

Today is the most special day. In India we celebrate children’s day. This day is celebrated on the occasion of birthday remembrance of our beloved first Prime Minister of the independent India, Shri Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

He was popular known as Nehru chacha (uncle). He loved children very much. He would love to interact with children whenever he got any opportunity.

Today the nation pays homage to one of the greatest freedom fighters and highly respected bureaucrat of our nation. We salute you dear Sir.🙇

His contribution to the development and progress of our nation can not be forgotten. He was passionate about his country.

I am not a political person and I do not endorse any political factions. I am admirer of anyone who loves our country and works hard to promote betterment of our nation.

Today is also world diabetes day. This year’s theme is “diabetes concerns every family.” It focuses on the impact of diabetes not only on the individual but it also has greater impact on the whole family.

Thanks dear friend. Today I thought of turning your attention to these two important events of international significance.

Happy children’s day to everyone. Let us join together to fight the dreaded disease of diabetes.

Discerning the Unprofitable🤔

There are many different things which appear very spiritual yet they are not helpful. First of all, we need discerning eye to differentiate between what is spiritual and unspiritual. There are many spiritual discussions which are profitable, however there are some discussion which are not profitable.

Spiritually Profitable

What I mean by spiritual profitable is that the two individuals or the group involved in the spiritual discourse will derive benefits. Their faith in Jesus Christ will be strengthened. They will be united in the spirit.

Spiritually unprofitable

The meaning of spiritually unprofitable means that the discussion leads to confusion and division. The individuals develop bitterness and they can’t get along well on more common beliefs.

Effects of unprofitable

The unprofitable discussion may lead to unnecessary strife. This kind of deliberations is wastage of precious time and energy which could have been employed for more fruitful endeavour.

Please allow me to quote a scripture from the Holy Bible.

Titus 3:9 NASBS
But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and strife and disputes about the Law, for they are unprofitable and worthless.

Titus and unprofitable

Titus was a young man. Apostle Paul understood that Titus was dragged into some discussion related to Jewish traditions and it resulted in controversies, strife and disputes. Paul emphatically instructed Titus to shun(avoid) these kinds of discussions.

Apostle Paul explained Titus that such discussions although seem to have sense of spiritual argument but eventually it is useless and worthless. The Greek word for unprofitable is “Anopheles.” The name of the mosquito which transmits malaria is Anopheles.

So dear friends, please be on your guard that we all have to avoid being unknowingly or willingly get into arguments over anopheles type of discussions. They don’t benefit anyone. The best way to end such discussions is to avoid them.

Birthday…… pondering🤔

More 16060 days ago I was born in this world. 😂

In my childhood, birthday was the most awaited day. My parents used to make it a point to celebrate it without fail. I cherish the cake cutting ceremony with a prayer for my safety.

I have excellent parents. Before I was conceived they already had two boys. They were expecting a baby girl but unfortunately or fortunately I am not sure, they got their third son.🤣

I am thankful to my parents that they chose to let me come in this world. There are millions of kids who are killed before they can grow even a few millimetres inside their mother’s Womb. The womb turns into tomb.☹️

My parents have taken extra trouble to raise me up. Gave me the best education. Today what I am is because of my loving parents.

My both elder brothers love me immensely. They cared for me and taught me so much. They were very patient with me when I was impatient with them.

Birthday is a time for me to look back and forth. God has been very gracious to me. He preserved my spirit, soul, body and mind in good shape.

He blessed me with a gorgeous wife and beautiful daughter. I have very little regrets. Lot of joy. He has blessed me with a loving church.😊

You my dear WordPress friends have become part of my extended family. I have no words to express my gratitude. You are very kind to me. Every Time I post a new message, I receive at least 20 likes. This is beyond my wildest dreams. I am blessed.😇🙏

Thank you Lord Jesus Christ for this day. Bless everyone who is reading this post.🤗

Shalom 🕊️ means peace to you✋ in Hebrew.

Dimensions of love💘

Hi friends 👋

Welcome back to Our Daily Bible bytes.

Topic for today……

Today we are going to discuss about the most popular topic of love.💕 You might say! Oh no!☹️ So much has already been written about love♥️ and there is no need for further deliberation.😥 I agree but what I intend to communicate is going to help all of us.😇

Measurements of…

Do you think, we can measure love?🤔 Do you think, love has any dimensions?🤔 Do you think?🤔 These questions sounds crazy! The answer is yeah. Love has dimensions. Please Allow me to explain.🙏

Dimensions of…..

Love does have height⬆️, width↔️, depth⬇️, length📏. I quote from the Bible. Please read below.📖

Ephesians 3:18-19 NASBS
may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, [19] and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.

Dimensions of…….

These are the dimensions of love mentioned in the scripture. This is not about human love. Human love is limited in its quantity, quality and dimensions.

Human love is limited in its height, breadth, length and depth. There is an end point to human love. Human love is conditional. Human love reciprocates only to love from other humans. Human love can turn into hatred any moment. There is no guarantee of human love.

In contrast the God’s love is amazing. In fact the Bible says, “God is love.”

Dimensions of God’s…..

The height of God’s love is evident when God’s love reached heaven and compelled God to send his one and only son (Jesus Christ) into this world. The depth of God’s love is evident in God’s love reaches each and every individual on the face of earth. The breadth of God’s love encompasses the whole circumference of earth. The length of God’s love begins in the past eternity and continues into the future eternity. God’s love never ceases nor fails.

A command

It’s a scriptural command to us to comprehend the love of Christ. May God give us more clarity and revelation of his unchanging and eternal love, so that we may grow in his love for others.

There is a wonderful children’s song.

You can also listen to the song, “God’s love is so wonderful.”

Thanks for reading.

God bless you.

How am I treating my colleague?

Global village

Slowly and steadily the world is turning into a global village. We all have to work together with different kinds of people all around the globe. We encounter people who have different perspectives and experiences.

Less experienced

Sometimes we encounter colleagues who may be less experienced. They may be less knowledgeable. How do I deal with such colleagues? Do I get agitated and impatient with such colleagues?

Some colleagues are unfriendly and hostile. What should I do with this kind of colleagues? There is no second opinion. Such kind of unsolicited behaviour need to be reported to the higher authority.

More experienced

Some colleagues are more knowledgeable and experienced. Their performance may outshine our performance. They may be more successful than me. How do I deal with such successful colleagues? Should I be jealous?

Saul and David

Saul was the king of Israel. David was a junior colleague of Saul. David successfully defeated Goliath the giant. David was appreciated more than Saul. Saul wasn’t happy with this development.

Jealous Saul

Saul decided to finish David as he was becoming more popular than Saul. To halt any further progress and promotions of David, Saul decided to kill David. Saul was so much obsessed about his craze to finish David, he left many wars to chase David.

David: Faithful employee

God spared the life of David on several occasions. David was always kind to Saul. David had multiple opportunities to take revenge on Saul. David decided not to lay his hands on the anointed of the Lord.

1 Samuel 26:11 NASBS
The LORD forbid that I should stretch out my hand against the LORD’S anointed; but now please take the spear that is at his head and the jug of water, and let us go.”

End of Saul

Ultimately Saul was killed in one of the battle. Eventually David was crowned King of Israel. Saul tried to ruin David’s career and he miserably failed. The Lord God had chosen David to be the next King. Saul could never win against David as God was protecting and shielding David from all his enemies.

Dear friend, let us deal kindly and patiently with our colleagues. You never know whom God has chosen to be the next head. It is possible that your colleague may be the next head of the department. It is also possible that God may make you head of your department. Trust in the Lord to open the door. Don’t push the door which God has shut.

The doors

Whichever door God has opened no one can shut and similarly whichever door God has shut no one can open.

Thanks for reading. God bless you.

Transition from persecutor to prisoner of Christ

Philemon 1:9 NASBS
yet for love’s sake I rather appeal to you-since I am such a person as Paul, the aged, and now also a prisoner of Christ Jesus-

This is not a new story for all those who have read the scriptures. But it’s great story to meditate upon. I invite you to join me in the journey into the history. Let’s do a small survey on the life of Paul the chief of sinners.

Saul of Tarsus

This is a life story of Mr Saul from Tarsus. He was a young Jewish fanatic. He assented to the stoning of Stephen to death. He decided to finish all those who followed Jesus Christ. He ravaged the church of Jesus Christ. He went house to house and dragged the disciples to prison.

Saul the persecutor

Saul was breathing threats and murders against the disciples of Jesus Christ. He asked recommendation letter for the synagogues in Damascus to arrest those who followed the Jesus way.

The encounter with bright Light

As he approached Damascus a bright light was shown around him. He heard a voice, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?” He asked, “Who are you Lord?” He got the reply, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.” Others with him heard voice but saw no one. Saul was blinded and was led by his companions.

Saul the brother

Ananias was commissioned by Jesus Christ to lay his hands so that Saul should regain his sight. Saul of Tarsus became brother Saul. Jesus Christ chose Saul to show him “how much he should suffer for Christ.”

Saul to Paul to minister

Saul was also known as Paul. Saul means desired while Paul means little one. Paul chose to be called little one through the rest of his life. He was taken to desert in Arabia to learn and receive more revelations. Then Paul along with Barnabas did lot of ministry.

Paul the apostle

Then Paul understood that he was called to be the apostle to the gentiles. He went on serving the people in many different areas. Preaching the gospel of Christ Jesus.

Paul the prisoner

At end he was falsely accused and imprisoned. The Jews were very upset because once upon a time he hated Jesus Christ and his disciples and now he himself followed Jesus and was preaching his teachings.

Paul the witness to Jesus

Paul ultimately became the prisoner of Christ. He was in chained not because he was a criminal. He was imprisoned because he preached Jesus. He was not upset about his condition. Jesus Christ had commissioned him to bear witness to Jesus Christ in front of Kings and others.

Paul the Martyr

The history tells us that Paul was martyred for the sake of his faith in Jesus Christ. He never denounced his faith. He fought the good spiritual fight. He retained his faith until his death. A crown is waiting for him.

Whose prisoner am I?

What do you feel about yourself? Are you a prisoner of something? What is it? Paul chose to be the prisoner of Christ Jesus. Would you like to be known as the prisoner of Christ? Think about it!

May God bless you.

Why did the sculptor smiled?

Story time

Hi everyone👋
This is another story told by my mentor many years ago.

Why did the sculptor smiled?

“There was a sculptor who lived in one town. He decided to create a sculpture. He was in need of a suitable stone for this very purpose. He started his journey to find the most wanted piece of rock.

He moved from one place to another but wasn’t satisfied with the pieces he saw. He decided to go to woods to check if he can find some good stone for his purpose. As he went deep inside the forest and stumbled upon a solitary rock covered by fungus and other dirt. This stone was uneven, shapeless and rough all around. This stone was a completely dead.

By no means it was worth to be admired. Nobody would have liked it or thought about it. The sculptor slowly and carefully began to clear the bushes and other things which had obscured this stone.

Once he cleared everything he began to take measurements. He gave an intentional look at the stone. He gradually began to smile. He was very excited to see this rock. He immediately put his signature and mark on this rock so that he can remember it.

He immediately got some people to take this piece of rock to his workshop. With a great efforts they brought this stone and set it up in the workshop.

The sculptor began to chisel out all the unwanted portions of the rock and over a long period of time he produced a great piece of art. He made a finest statue of a person. The statue was so real that it looked like the statue was a living person. He received a great applause from his fellow sculptors.”

Why do you think the sculptor smiled at the rock? The answer is that, he looked at the rock and imagined the futuristic statue he is going to make out of this uneven shapeless rock. How many people might have passed through this path but didn’t notice it. No body thought that one day this stone will take shape of a certain statue. Only this sculptor imagined the future of this stone.”

The reason for the joy of sculptor

There is similarity of how God deals with us. Before coming to Jesus, I was rough, shapeless and almost lifeless. The moment He found me, He has never stopped working on me. He is still working on me. The final version of me will be the very image of His son Jesus Christ. There are still lot of unwanted stuff in me which needs to be chiseled out.

Have you surrendered yourself to your sculptor to be reshaped into the image of the Lord Jesus Christ?

May the Lord bless you through this story.

❤️Are you suffering from spiritual cardiomegaly?♥️

For those who are not familiar with medical terminology. Cardiomegaly is a medical condition where the heart is disproportionately large in size. This can be dangerous. Similarly, having a small size heart is equally harmful.

Large hearted

In this article I am not referring to medical condition although I am using medical term to drive home some spiritual concepts. We all know that Christianity is supposed to be a system where the followers of Christ are supposed to have a largeness of heart.

Narrow minded

What I mean by large heart is to have a broad mind. Gradually and subtly I was trained to think in a narrow way. I began to exclude some good fellow Christians simply because I couldn’t agree with them. I was trained to argue tooth and nail with those who couldn’t agree with me in finer points.

Lost opportunity

I also started keeping too much distance from my relatives who didn’t follow the same lifestyle (trying to avoid sin but miserably failing) as I was pursuing. In the bargain I lost many opportunities to share the love of Christ. People thought that I was an arrogant person.

Lost friends

I also could never get along well with people from other faiths. I had some friends but eventually moved away from those friends. I still miss those childhood friends. I missed the opportunity to share the love of Christ.

God’s heart ♥️

Lord Jesus Christ has a large heart. He can think of everyone on this earth at the same time. We have a small heart, we can think about only our people. May God help us to draw a large size circle so that we may be encircle even those who hate us. We are called to imitate our heavenly Father. He is merciful and gracious.

What’s your size? ❤️

What is the size of your heart? ❤️ Can we say that anyone can find entry to your heart? Can we show mercy to someone in need? Think about it. May God help you and me to have a large heart to forgive those who don’t deserve it. Jesus Christ forgave his executors. He said that they don’t know what they are doing.

May God increase the size of our hearts and minds.

Consider your calling!

What’s your calling?

Some years ago, in Christendom a very common question asked was, “What is your calling?” I feel, now days no one is asking about this anymore.

Mindful of calling

When I was a new in faith in Christ, people were very much mindful about what God is calling them for. They were open to God’s calling. They were willing to listen to God’s call.

Fulfilling the call

Many people left their secular jobs and got involved in different ministries. I am not asking you to follow the suite. A person who is intending to go into the ministry should be very sure of God’s call.

Difficulties of ministry

Going into any ministry is challenging. It is not at all a comfortable vocation. It can bring much distress. It may mean living with minimum. It can bring financial constraints. Doing a ministry is not a joke.

Best yet to come

I am still waiting for my ministry. At the moment I believe that blogging is a satisfactory ministry. But God only knows the best. I believe that best is yet to come.

Pause please

I would like to encourage you to pause a little. Check out what is God’s calling for your life. Is he calling you for some ministry? Give it a thought. There is a great need in the vineyard. The workers’ are less.

Do not pass me by

God is still waiting for someone to respond to the divine call. Lord, please show me my call. Whenever you are distributing ministries, do not pass me. Give me some ministry Lord. I do not want to waste my life. Use me for your glory.

Growing from being churched to being a church.

Church goer

There are many people who are very nice church goes. They attend every Sunday service religiously. I consider myself as a church going Christian. It’s a good spiritual exercise.

Boring church

Many people are going to the church and often find church as a boring place. The church folk remains same from Sunday to Sunday. Same things are being repeated in a monotonous fashion.

Funeral service

The younger generation find it more aversive experience. Many churches have mastered the skill to make service as serious as possible. It resembles to a funeral service.

Churched member

In this bargain some people continue to remain only as a churched members. They are in the church but not the church. They are physically present but spiritualy feel lost. They are not able to make any contribution to the church. The gradually develop spiritual dissatisfaction. They feel sidetracked. But the call to every Christian is not to be “churched” but to be the “church.”

The church of Jesus

The church of Jesus Christ is compared to a body. Christ is the head and the church members are the body. The church without Christ is a headless body. The church without members is a head with missing body.

You are the “church”

The church members grow without the realisation that they are the “church.” Yes, you are the church. They have a wrong perception that church is a building or any physical structure.

Authority is part of church

Some people feel that church means the church authority or leadership. That’s wrong. The church authority is a part of church as any ordinary members. The church authority has a great responsibility to look after the well being of fellow members

Integral part

The church authority is not the boss of the church but they are the local team leader. The real Boss is Jesus Christ. May God help each church goer to realise that he is the integral part of the church.

Your worth

Imagine that each member understands his value that he is the important part of the local church, do you believe he will ever think of leaving that church? He won’t, I bet.

You are valuable

Dear friend, don’t get discouraged when people Stop valuing you. You are always valued and respected in the church. You are an important member whom Jesus Christ loves immensely. He died for you. Don’t be discouraged if the leadership fails to value you or fail to show their love and support.

May God bless you all.

Be church and not a church goer.

One of the things God hates! 😲

Hate list

There are many things which God hates. For example, please read the scripture quotes.

Proverbs 6:16-19 NASBS
There are six things which the LORD hates, Yes, seven which are an abomination to Him: [17] Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, And hands that shed innocent blood, [18] A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that run rapidly to evil, [19] A false witness who utters lies, And one who spreads strife among brothers.

Seven abominations

There is this list of seven things mentioned which God hates. These are in fact are disgusting to the Lord. He can’t stand these things. The above list is quite straightforward.

Important thing

There is one more very important matter which God hates. Any guesses? Oh yes. You got it. Please see below.

Malachi 2:16 NASBS
For I hate divorce,” says the LORD, the God of Israel, “and him who covers his garment with wrong,” says the LORD of hosts. “So take heed to your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously.”

God hates divorce

These are strong words coming from the Lord. God doesn’t like divorce. We human beings if given liberty we will go for divorce for any trivial reason.

The divorce rates vary from country to country. But it appears that divorce rates are on the rise. This is an unhealthy trend.

Mark 10:9 NASBS
What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.”

Don’t separate

Jesus Christ said that the marriage is an union created by God. No one should disintegrate this union between husband and wife.

May God help husbands and wives to work together towards preserving this holy union till the end of their lives. This is the will of God for the couples.

Hebrews 13:4 NASBS
Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled; for fornicators and adulterers God will judge.

The most honorable

Marriage is highly esteemed among all cultures around the world. This the institution formed by God.

May God help everyone to maintain its sanctity of marriage as an institution for the safety of the future generations.

God bless you.

How to end the slavery?🤔

Slavery is illegal

In the modern world slavery is not only considered derogatory but also illegal. The Bible never promotes slavery. Wherever Christianity has reached, it led to the abolishment of slavery.

World slavery statistics

As I was doing a research for this post I discovered this website, Free the slaves. I was shocked to learn that there are 40 million slaves around the globe. I was under impression that slavery has been eradicated, but I was wrong. They are enslaved in different types of slavery.

We have a role

The website also says something stunning, “We all have a role to play in bringing slavery to an end. Although there are more people in slavery today than ever before, slavery represents the smallest percentage of the world’s population than at any other time in history.” (Source: Free the slaves)

No conflict of interest

We all can make a difference to end this slavery by doing our best. I am not promoting this website. I have no vested interest in the activities of the organisation. But I want to appreciate their valuable efforts to create awareness about it and finding some solutions to this important matter.

Biblical remedy

In the Bible, God also commanded Jews to end the slavery in their own land. Most probably due to the recession, some Jews turned themselves into slavery. God didn’t permit to continue this beyond six consecutive years. In the seventh year he should be released from the slavery. (Deuteronomy 15:12)

Deuteronomy 15:13-14 NASBS
When you set him free, you shall not send him away empty-handed. [14] You shall furnish him liberally from your flock and from your threshing floor and from your wine vat; you shall give to him as the LORD your God has blessed you.

Send him full

God said, “don’t send the slave empty handed. Give him liberally from all your belongings.” It looks as though this slave should never have to be anyone’s slave for the rest of his life. God was so mindful to abolish slavery is Israel.

Peculiar law

There was this peculiar law, that in the event of some slave doesn’t want to leave his master. The law allowed him to remain with his master provided he followed certain ritual. Tge ritual was an ear piercing ritual with an awl.

Deuteronomy 15:16-17 NASBS
It shall come about if he says to you, ‘I will not go out from you,’ because he loves you and your household, since he fares well with you; [17] then you shall take an awl and pierce it through his ear into the door, and he shall be your servant forever. Also you shall do likewise to your maidservant.

Loving slave

The slave found his master so loving and caring that he decided to stay as his slave for the rest of his life. The slave loves his master very much. This slavery is made permanent slave by the mark on his ear. This mark (scar or a hole) in his ear was a reminder that he is a permanent slave of his master. What a great sign of commitment and dedication of a slave for his own master.

How are you serving?

Today we may not be anyone’s slave yet we can become servant. Who are you serving today? We can serve God and human beings. Are we committed to serve others and God with such a kind of love?

Decision time

May God help you and me to serve him and others in the same spirit of the slave who loved his master so much that he was willing to stay with him forever.

God bless you.

Guilty freed & innocent condemned!😲

Setting: Palestine (AD 30)

This is the real incident which took place in the land of Palestine. Approximately on the eve of 7th April 30 AD, Jesus Christ was betrayed by his own disciple. Jesus Christ was arrested on false charges. The religious leaders had decided to kill Jesus.

Praetorium court

Jesus Christ was tried by many religious authorities. They all condemned him to death. Ultimately he was taken to Roman governor Pilate. Pilate examined him very closely. He found him innocent.

Passover Tradition

There was a prevalent tradition among the Jews to release a prisoner during the feast of Passover. The religious authority coerced the crowd to ask for something unexpected.

Dilemma of two Jesus’

There was a another prisoner named as Jesus Barabbas. (Mathew 27:16 NU text) He was found guilty of murder and robbery. He was fit to be crucified. When Pilate put forth the proposal to release a prisoner. He gave them a choice. The religious leaders chose Jesus Barabbas over the Jesus Christ.

Greatest injustice

This was the greatest injustice done to Jesus Christ. The guilty Barabbas was set free while the innocent Jesus Christ was handed over to the worst form of capital punishment in the history. The death by crucifixion.

Freedom at the cost of Jesus

The Barabbas must have been shocked to hear about his release. He was awaiting the dooms day. He was informed that he is set free to make a way for Jesus Christ to be crucified in his place. He must have been so thrilled about this unimagined development.

Cross of Barabbas

Jesus Christ carried the cross made for Barabbas. Barabbas enjoyed his freedom at the cost of painful suffering of Jesus Christ.

He did it for you as well!

There is another truth hidden in this story. Jesus Christ didn’t die only in place of Barabbas but he died in place of each and every human being in this world. That’s a wonderful reality of this incident.

Jesus Christ rose again from this humiliating death. He is alive.

May the Lord Jesus Christ encourage you through these words.

The importance of return?↩️

Luke 17:15-16 NASBS
Now one of them, when he saw that he had been healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice, [16] and he fell on his face at His feet, giving thanks to Him. And he was a Samaritan.

This is the most frequently quoted story of 10 lepers who were healed by Jesus. Nine of those who got healed decided to go to their houses. Only one of them realised that Jesus Christ has healed him. He returned to express his gratitude.

The other nine missed their opportunity to meet Jesus Christ and to offer thanksgiving. They received their healing but couldn’t give glory to God.

But the one who returned was a samaritan. Samaritans are the rejected community. Jews have no dealings with this community. But this samaritan was not an ungrateful fellow. His heart caused him to return back to Jesus.

He not only received the physical healing but when he came back he received spiritual healing as well.

Luke 17:17-19 NASBS
Then Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But the nine-where are they? [18] Was no one found who returned to give glory to God, except this foreigner?” [19] And He said to him, “Stand up and go; your faith has made you well.”

This foreigner received faith and Jesus commented that his faith in Christ Jesus has facilitated the healing process.

Dear friend, are you having any health issues? You have a choice to go to Jesus Christ in prayers. He may heal you if it is his will. Don’t forget to return to give glory to God through Jesus Christ.

May God bless you through these words of encouragement.

Promoted to glory

Psalm 116:15 NASBS
Precious in the sight of the LORD Is the death of His godly ones.

Today is the most saddest day of my life. My grandmother left this world today morning. I was very close to my granny. We all her children, grandchildren and relatives have great fond memories of our beloved grandma.

She was a short lady yet lived a long life. She was very strong woman and backbone of my grandfather. Her departure has left a vacuum within our hearts.

1 Thessalonians 4:13 NASBS
But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope.

At the same time, Our grief is mingled with joy. Our grandma is going to join our grandpa who is in glory since last 20 years. They must have been very happy to see each other. They may have hugged Jesus Christ together.

They are enjoying the heavenly delicacies. They are enjoying the fellowship with Jesus Christ and heavenly Father.

1 Thessalonians 4:16 NASBS
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

There is a great hope for all of us that one day we are going to see our grandma and grandpa.

1 Thessalonians 4:18 NASBS
Therefore comfort one another with these words.

Today we are comforted by the words of God. We are bereaved due to the loss of our beloved grandma but at the same time we are rejoicing in the fact that she is at home with the Lord Jesus Christ in glory. Please join with me to rejoice in the fact that my grandma is promoted to glory.

Thanks for reading.

The unfathomable δύναμις

Hi dear friends 👋

This is your friend, the Bible blogger 😃🙏

Welcome to Our Daily Bible bytes.

The δύναμις

Today I have selected this Greek noun “δύναμις” which is pronounced as “dunamis.” I love it because it’s a powerful noun. It means strength, power and ability. We all have power to certain degrees.

Let me quote from the Holy Bible.

Mark 12:24 NASBS
Jesus said to them, “Is this not the reason you are mistaken, that you do not understand the Scriptures or the power of God?

The test

Sadducees were a group of people who didn’t agree with the teachings of Jesus. They presented a hypothetical situation before Jesus Christ. They wanted to test his knowledge. They had serious objections about resurrection.

The reply

Jesus Christ replied to them that they were going wrong simply because of two reasons. They couldn’t comprehend the Holy scripture and they didn’t understand the power (dunamis) of God.

The owner

We make mistakes when we don’t believe in God who is a powerful God. Who owns all the powers?

Matthew 6:13 NASBS
‘And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. [For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.’]

Yes, the source of all power is in God. He controls the entire cosmos by his own strength.

Luke 6:19 NASBS
And all the people were trying to touch Him, for power was coming from Him and healing them all.

Power of Jesus

Jesus Christ was full of divine power because He is God. People realised that Jesus Christ has the healing powers and they came with faith and got healed by touching him.

Luke 9:1 NASBS
And He called the twelve together, and gave them power and authority over all the demons and to heal diseases.

Power of disciples

Jesus Christ delegated power and authority to his disciples. The disciples didn’t have inherent powers to heal and to cast demons. They had to depend upon Jesus Christ to delegate those powers.

We can discuss lots about the power of God however we have time and space crunch.

You have power!

Dear friend, are you feeling weak then go to Jesus Christ in faith. He will fill you with his power.

2 Corinthians 12:9 NASBS
And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.

May the words of Christ Jesus encourage you.

Shalom 🕊️

Childish or child like? 😲

Childhood days

Childhood is the most beautiful phase of life. During that phase, the world seems like a big play ground. The worries of the present don’t bother. The future doesn’t make sense. It’s a wonderful phase of life. My daughter who is going to be teenage wants to become a child again.

Revisiting childhood

I think many of us would like to change the course of our lives. We would like to reverse the life and we can go backwards from adults to children and enjoy those childhood days. Free from all the stressors of adulthood.

Often Jesus Christ says something in the scripture and it boggles my mind. The God’s kingdom rules are exactly opposite to the rules of this world. If someone is childish in this world, will be harshly rebuked for such behaviour.

See what Jesus Christ had to say about the children.

Matthew 19:14 NASBS
But Jesus said, “Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

Jesus likes children

Jesus Christ was bit upset with His disciples as they were preventing children from coming close to Jesus. He said don’t do it. Let them come, the kingdom of heaven belongs to them. Wow! What a profound statement!

Matthew 18:3-4 NASBS
and said, “Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. [4] Whoever then humbles himself as this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Child like

This is another peculiar thing Jesus Christ mentioned. He said that there is a great need for us to be transformed into children. What did He mean? He was referring to the humility and innocence of children. We need to have humility to admit our limitations and innocence to avoid sin.

1 Corinthians 13:11 NASBS
When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things.

Not childish

Paul mentioned about childish behaviour. Christ is not calling us to be childish but rather to be child like when it comes to our relationship with God. We have to humble ourselves like a child before God and be the son or daughter of God when we encounter the enemy (Satan).

Dual nature

God wants us to be transformed into a child who takes God at his word. A child is teachable. At the same time he expects us to be spiritual adults when we think about the spiritual discernment so that we can differentiate between right and wrong.

The need

We need to introspect. Are we becoming child like in regards to humility and trust in the Lord? Are we exercising sonship when we think about our spiritual authority?

May God encourage you with these thoughts.

Imprisonment is the most harshest punishment anyone can receive. This is the worst experience to bear with. Incarceration is the end of all freedom. The prisoner looses all the privileges of the external world.

I would like to draw your attention to one scripture quote from the Holy Bible.

Acts 16:24 NASBS
and he, having received such a command, threw them into the inner prison and fastened their feet in the stocks.

Apostle Paul and his friend Silas were falsely accused and assaulted. They were cast into the innermost cell of the prison with their feet in the stocks. I can’t imagine their plight.

They may been groaning because of various injuries. Their movements were restricted due to stocks. They were in really bad shape. They may have been exhausted, hungry and thirsty.

Acts 16:25 NASBS
But about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God, and the prisoners were listening to them;

Praying and praising

At the middle of the night, the apostle Paul and Silas began to pray and sing. Probably there was a great silence in the prison and no one spoke with one another. In this situation this duo began to call on to the Lord Jesus. They were also singing the famous hymns.

Praising in prison

This must have transformed the ambience of the prison. They managed to change this dreaded place into a place of praising God. The other fellow prisoners must have been astonished. They wanted to know who are these crazy guys. What are they praying? Whom are they praising?

What’s your prison?

Today we may not be in real prison however certain types of circumstances may make us feel imprisoned. For example, certain types of sickness causes restrictions on movement. Certain overwhelming stressors cloud our minds. We are cast into great depression.

What can help us in such situations? I believe, the answer is praying and praising. While Paul and Silas were praying and singing, something happened!

Acts 16:26 NASBS
and suddenly there came a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison house were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were unfastened.

The prayer was answered by God. The prison doors were opened and chains were unfastened. Wow. Isn’t it amazing!

Dear friend, you may be going through the toughest situations. You have a choice to either sit there grumbling and groaning or you can pray and sing. May God help you to make the right choice.

Hello! Can anyone open the door🚪 for me?

Knock! knock!🚪

This is exactly what we do to get the attention of the members of a household. Some open the door immediately whereas some will require little more time. Some don’t wish to open at all. The most common reason for door not opening is that no one is at home!😀

Jesus Christ taught His disciples to keep knocking till the door is opened.

Matthew 7:8 NASBS
For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

He said this in the context of praying. He emphasized the importance of persistence in prayers. Often we have very limited patience and we give up praying quickly because we haven’t got the expected answer or delay in reply from God.

Jesus Christ himself practiced this knocking.

Revelation 3:20 NASBS
Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.

Jesus at the door

Can you imagine Jesus Christ standing at the door and knocking!😲 I picture Jesus Christ standing outside at the door of this church in Laodicea. Actually Jesus Christ didn’t need open door to enter but he doesn’t force himself. I feel because of various unholy activities in the church, Lord Jesus Christ moved from inside to the outside.

Church without Christ

The church was in a sad state of affairs. The people thought that the Lord was in the church but the Lord Jesus was knocking at the door requesting them to open the door. He was asking them if someone could hear his voice and open the door for Him. This is beyond my imagination.

Hosting dinner

I hope someone might have heard His voice and opened the door. That person must have had the privilege to host a dinner for Lord Jesus Christ himself. Today the Lord Jesus Christ might not appear in person but he may send someone needy to our home to test us.

Host of house

Lord Jesus Christ is an unseen host of every home. May the Lord Jesus Christ help us that He may never leave our homes. He may continue to remain as the host of our homes. May his presence fill out hearts and our homes forever.

May the Lord’s presence continue to be with us always.

God bless you dear friends.

How can I become a shining Star?🌟😋

Celestial bodies🌟

There are trillions of stars in the universe. They are numerous for any human being to count. They twinkle and increase our curiosity about them. Many institutions are striving to reach out to them to learn more about those beautiful bodies. However these stars have a limited lifespan. After certain millenniums they vanish.

The celebrity Star🌟

There are human stars as well. For example the film stars. There is so much glamour surrounding them. They attract lots of attention whenever they descend among the crowd. They are admired and appreciated quite a lot. Stardom is equally limited to certain prime time. The new successful stars replace the old famous ones.

Our little star 🌟

This month my daughter is awarded the prestigious star 🌟 of the class badge. I can notice a great joy over her face. She was desirous of this honor from the first month of the school. Because of various hurdles she missed it for couple of months. Ultimately her hard work paid off. She is the star of her own class. We are so proud of our daughter. We know that it’s a temporary privilege but we rejoice with her for her achievements.

All stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Everyone is a star 🌟 in his own capacity. You are a star 🌟 to your parents and others who are interested in your well being and progress. People want themselves to be valued and appreciated for their contributions, however tiny it may appear.

The star 🌟 maker

God is no ones debtor. God wants to make you a star. 🌟 He would like to see you shining not only for certain period but forever. How does this work? How can I become a star who will be shining through the eternity? Please read below a scripture quote.

Daniel 12:3 KJVS
And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

Qualifications for star

We notice in the above quote, two things are necessary to shine like a star. Wisdom and turning people to righteousness. In the beginning we ourselves need these things and afterwards we can share it with others.

I pray that you will comprehend the in depth meaning of this message. We need to introspect, “Am I doing my part for which I am called for to turn myself and others towards righteousness?”

May God bless you and make you like a star 🌟 always shining for him. With love and blessings.

Forged in fire🔥

The tool

Fire 🔥is a powerful tool with tremendous amount of power to make and break. Fire has capabilities to melt and soften the toughest part of a hard metal. It is also used to purify the metal. It can destroy every trace of impurities within the metals.

The skill

The black Smith works with raw iron and transforms it into a weapon of war. This transformation is a laborious exercise. A seasoned black Smith is skilled in transforming any shapeless iron into a beautiful sharp knife or any other weapon.

The process

The forging process begins with a raw iron being cast into a hot furnace. The high temperature of this furnace will turn the black iron into red hot metal. It is just heated enough to mould it into a desired shape. The hot iron is conducive to change in shape which was not possible with cold iron.

The product

This red hot iron is hammered carefully by the smith into desired shape of a weapon. This new hot weapon is dipped into water or oil to harden the metal. This hardened metal doesn’t bend although it might break at certain points if too much pressure is applied.

Daniel 3:19 NASBS
Then Nebuchadnezzar was filled with wrath, and his facial expression was altered toward Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego. He answered by giving orders to heat the furnace seven times more than it was usually heated.

The trouble

The three friends of Daniel, namely Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego disobeyed the kings order to bow down to the golden image as it was not correct for the Jews to indulge in idol worship.

Daniel 3:21 NASBS
Then these men were tied up in their trousers, their coats, their caps and their other clothes, and were cast into the midst of the furnace of blazing fire.

As punishment these three young men were cast into the furnace.

Daniel 3:24-25 NASBS
Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astounded and stood up in haste; he said to his high officials, “Was it not three men we cast bound into the midst of the fire?” They replied to the king, “Certainly, O king.” [25] He said, “Look! I see four men loosed and walking about in the midst of the fire without harm, and the appearance of the fourth is like a son of the gods!”

The rescue

God of these men intervened on their behalf. He sent a supernatural person to prevent the scoring heat to damage his servants. It is believed that that person was Jesus Christ himself. He saved them. They were transformed as though into a sharp faithful guys.

1 Peter 1:7 NASBS
so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

Tested faith

God also tests the genuineness of our faith by allowing the fiery tests.

Furnace experience

What is your experience today? Are you going through a furnace kind of situations? Are you feeling the heat of your trial and test? The fire was never meant for the destruction of the metal, it was meant for the transformation and hardening process. God allows certain difficult situations not to break us but to make us. A bitter experience may eventually make us more bitter or better.

So how do you respond to your circumstances? You have a choice. Trust God to harden you. Decide to persevere through this process. You will come out different.

Hired without being fired

The hunt

The various business houses are always in constant search of best skills and talents. They travel across the globe in search of individuals with such calibre. Once they find one of its kind they immediately offer good packages in order to employ that individual.

Suppose, after the employment the individual consistently not performing well. Instead he turned out to be a liability. What do you think the organisation will do with this guy? I am sure that you would agree with me that he would be fired from the job.

The disciples

Jesus Christ when he was walking on this earth was running a tiny little Bible school. He had a small bunch of 12 students. They were of different ages and backgrounds. Some were fishermen, some tax collectors, etc.

He had a most brilliant student, his name was Peter Simon. He was a most daring disciple. At the same time he was quick to respond to any question and situation. He was very promising disciple. Everyone thought that one day he would be the best team leader.

The test

He was tested for his faithfulness. His test was predicted by Lord Jesus Christ himself.

Luke 22:31-32 NASBS
Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded permission to sift you like wheat; [32] but I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail; and you, when once you have turned again, strengthen your brothers.”

The test was, Simon will have to identify himself with his master and teacher Jesus Christ in front of everyone. Jesus was falsely accused and condemned to death.

Simon was a bit a overconfident employee. He said that even if he has to die he will not deny Jesus. He failed the test miserably. He denied Jesus Christ not only once but thrice. It’s not only him but I have denied Jesus some times in my life as well.😰

After the death and resurrection Jesus Christ appeared to Peter. Everyone thought that Jesus Christ has given up on Peter. Jesus Christ shocked everyone. He not only pardoned him, he also appointed him as the shepherd over the first church in the history.

John 21:17 NASBS
He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?” And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.” Jesus said to him, “Tend My sheep.”

If I was in the place of Jesus Christ, I would have fired Peter for deserting his boss and organisation. Jesus Christ doesn’t approach like how we approach. He knew that one day Peter is going to be a great blessing to his organisation. Peter is still appreciated and respected all over the world since last 2000 years. Jesus Christ is still hiring people.

The reason behind the success of Peter’s life is the great confidence of Jesus Christ in Peter that he is a great employee. How are you dealing with your fellow employees? How are you dealing with fellow members of your family, friends, church or any other organisations?

May God help us to have patience towards others as Jesus Christ has towards us.

With love and blessings ✋🌺🙋‍♂️

Gone with the winds🌬️🍂

Hi dear friends👋

Welcome back to Our Daily Bible bytes.😇🙏

I am going to narrate another story. Are you ready?🗣️😀 This is another story I learnt from my mentor. Here we go……

“There were two men in a particular town. Their names were Tom and Jerry. They were working in the same factory. Tom was a pious person. He would never hurt anyone. He would be very careful about how he treated other people.

Jerry was equally a good person except that he couldn’t keep any secrets. Once someone shared some bad things about Tom with Jerry. There was no truth in it. Jerry couldn’t keep it to himself. He shared it with someone else. He warned that person not to share it with anyone else.

That person shared it with someone else. In this manner the matter was spread across with everyone. It brought lot of disrepute to Tom. Ultimately Tom got the news that Jerry is spoiling his name.

Tom was very sensitive and he took it to his heart. As a result he fell sick. He had to be hospitalized. Jerry was informed that Tom is not keeping well and admitted to hospital. Jerry felt very sorry. Immediately, he decided to visit Tom at the hospital.

Jerry asked what happened to Tom. Tom told him about this gossip going around his back. Jerry was convicted in his heart. Jerry asked Tom to pardon him. Tom said that he was willing to pardon him if he could do a favour for him.

Jerry was more than happy to help Tom. Tom gave him a pillow made of feathers. He requested Jerry to go to an open space and empty it and bring back the empty cover. Jerry didn’t want to waste any time. He hurried to the open field and he emptied the pillow and brought back to empty cover. He joyfully presented the empty cover to Tom. He was very sure that Tom will be very happy to see the empty cover.

Tom saw the empty cover and was extremely grateful to Jerry. He asked for another favour. Jerry was excited. He said you ask me anything and I will definitely do it for you. Tom said, “please take this empty cover of the pillow and gather all the feathers you emptied in the open space.”

Jerry was stunned. He expressed his helplessness. He said, “Tom, this is a ridiculous. How will I be able to gather something that is already scattered? All the feathers are gone with the wind.”

Tom said, “Jerry, similarly can you bring back my reputation which you have damaged by gossips.” Jerry was filled with lot of regrets because he inadvertently hurt Tom. Ultimately Tom forgave Jerry because he realized his mistake. They ultimately became great friends once again.”

Similarly dear friends let us not gossip about anyone else. God hates gossip. Let us hate gossip. Gossip is equal to half murder.😲

Proverbs 11:13 TPT
You can’t trust gossipers with a secret; they’ll just go blab it all. Put your confidence instead in a trusted friend, for he will be faithful to keep it in confidence.

God bless you with these words.

With love and blessings.

Binning 🚮 Loneliness

Have you ever thought what would happen if you were the only person living on the whole earth? 😲 As a kid I was always worried about this. I would always cling to my mom or siblings to avoid being left all alone somewhere.

Thank God that we are more than six billions spread across the globe. Often we are surrounded by thousands yet we might have the feelings of loneliness. There is lot of crowd which walking around and yet no one is walking with us.

Human help

No one may notice you crying because its raining outside. If we look to human help it is insufficient and inadequate. Whenever we require it, at that point it’s not available.

Reliable friend

Who is the most reliable friend from whom we can expect help? When me and my family are going through some crisis, whom can I count on? Yes, we can definitely approach our friends and relatives. Sometimes they may not be in position to help although they are willing to help.

True friend

I found a reliable friend in my Lord. The Holy Bible says,

Hebrews 13:8 NASBS
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Unchanging friend

This is an amazing statement of unchanging nature of Jesus. In this ever-changing world Jesus Christ is someone on whom we can depend as friend. He is always alive and awake.

1 prayer away

Our family, friends and relatives will not be available for 24×7×365. But Jesus is just one prayer away.

Hebrews 13:5 NASBS
Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, “I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU,”

Assured assistance

This is his another assurance. He gives assurance of help and he will not cast us away.

What are your feelings today? Are you going through loneliness? Take courage. God is with you. He will not desert you or forsake you.

May God bless you.

Lord open my eyes👁️👁️

Hi dear friends 👋

I am your host, Bible blogger 😇

Greetings to you.

Strange prayer

I have selected a strange prayer for today’s discussion. You will wonder what kind of request it is? You will want to know how the Lord will open eyes of someone whose eyes are already open.

Different vision

Agreed. I know our eyes are open and we can see everything that is in our vision range. But there are some things which are beyond our vision range and for that we either need binoculars to view the distant objects or microscope to view the tiny little objects.

There are supernatural events which are invisible to human eyes and perception. To view the supernatural we need supernatural vision.

Let me illustrate by referring your attention to an event documented in the scripture.

2 Kings 6:17 NASBS
Then Elisha prayed and said, “O LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” And the LORD opened the servant’s eyes and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

A plot

The king of Aram wanted to arrest Elisha the prophet and he sent his mighty army for this purpose. The servant of Elisha was terrified and expressed his concern to Elisha.

2 Kings 6:16 NASBS
So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”

No worries

Elisha wasn’t worried because he had the supernatural vision. He prayed for the supernatural vision for his servant. The moment his servant was equipped with this new vision he was astonished. He saw mountain full of horses and chariots of fire all around.

Foiled plot

The king’s plan was spoiled by God. He stroke them with blindness and confusion.

Psalm 119:18 NASBS
Open my eyes, that I may behold Wonderful things from Your law.

What is your prayer to the Lord today morning? Are you worried and concerned about the problems surrounding you and your family? Pray to God to open your eyes. And you will see wonderful things.

Psalm 121:1 NASBS
I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; From where shall my help come?

Lift up eyes

So lift up your eyes and you will be able to figure out great things from the scripture and also you will know from where your help is going to arrive.

May God strengthen you today with these words. May God grant all of us the supernatural vision to see great things.

Thanks for visiting and reading.

Shalom 🕊️

Falling in love!💕💖💘

Falling in love! It’s a wonderful feeling when we fall in love. Everyone goes through this phase of life. It produces unspeakable emotions and feelings.

There is a strong attraction pulling two love birds together. These feelings continue upto certain age. This kind of attraction is considered as an immature kind of love.

This kind of love is a fantasy. It takes people on a cloud nine kind of journey. It is not compatible to match the challenges of life.

True love

A true love will stand in the times of testings and trials. I myself developed attractions towards opposite sex. It was one-sided often. Today I feel that it was a foolishness on my part. Today I am in love with my spouse.

My love

Our love has been through rough period but it withstood the test and trials. It has matured to higher level. Although it is still in imperfect state but it is moving forward in the right direction.

Lord Jesus Christ posed a peculiar question to his disciple.

John 21:17 NASBS
He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?” And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.” Jesus said to him, “Tend My sheep.

Jesus Christ asked his disciple, Simon, “do you love me?” This is is the third time he asked same thing. What would you do if someone is asking repeatedly same thing? If I was in Simon’s place I would have felt bad.

Exactly, Simon was grieved because of repeated questions. He ultimately responded saying, “Lord, You know all things.” Yes Jesus Christ knew Simon more than Simon knew about himself.

Just before the crucifixion Jesus had predicted denial of Simon. Three times Simon denied that he knew Jesus. Simon cried bitterly afterwards.

Same question

Today what is our answer to the Lord, if he is asking same question to you and me. The Lord Jesus already knows Who loves him.

Appreciate the author

Are you fallen in love with the text book? Many people are fallen with the text and forgot about the author. Imagine people appreciating the book and they have forgotten to appreciate the author.

With whom

Remember we are called to fall in love with the God of the Holy Bible. May God help us to love the lover of my soul.

God bless you. Thanks for visiting and reading. Please do post your valuable comments. I am not able to respond to likes.⭐

There is none like you

Jeremiah 10:6 NASBS
There is none like You, O LORD; You are great, and great is Your name in might.

My favourite

This is one of my favourite scripture quote. It tells us that our God is unique and incomparable to anyone. It tells that nobody can match the characteristics and attributes of our God. But when I look at myself do I think in similar fashion? This is a big deal. I would like to share my thoughts on this topic.

When I was a kid, people considered me ugly and odd. They said that my mouth is Big👅 and nose👃 is wide. They made me feel bad about myself. I really believed everyone.

I used to feel uncomfortable with my own looks. I used to admire good looking cousins and feel miserable about myself. I used to ask my mom as in why am I so ugly. I used to cry internally.

I thought that if I comb my hair in certain ways I will look better. It was a futile exercise. I wasn’t satisfied. All these things going on in my mind, made me an introvert. I couldn’t communicate with others effectively.

Low self-esteem

I was doing good in studies initially but later on my confidence began to grow low. I was battling very low self-esteem. I thought I am good for nothing. I was just pulling on somehow.

Then I encountered this Jesus. He wasn’t visible to my eyes. I could feel him. He told me that he has no problem in accepting me as I am. I asked him,”don’t you have problems with my looks?” He said to me, “you know what Bible blogger, you have not made yourself, I have made you.” I was stunned.😲

Psalm 100:3 NASBS
Know that the LORD Himself is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

Gods image

Oh! I was speechless. He said go and read this. He continued to speak, “do you know after whose image you have been created?” I knew the answer. I replied, “after God’s own image.” He said, “you are absolutely correct.” Then he added, “when you know all this things then why don’t you believe this truth? Stop believing lies and begin to trust the truth.”

I began to think about this whole thing. I realised that I am not ugly but unique. People didn’t realise my uniqueness. There is no comparison between two individuals. They can’t be same. Even twins have differences.

I accept

So began to cherish my unique looks. I am different from others. Whatever others felt about me now doesn’t bother me. I am exactly what I am. I can’t change myself unless I decide to go under knife.

You are unique

I hope this expression of my heart will definitely help someone going through similar experiences. So don’t believe me, at least believe what Jesus taught me. You are not only unique, you are the most beautiful person walked on this earth. Before you there was no one like you and neither anyone else will be.

There is none like you

So I say this very loudly, screamingly, “there is none like you.” I mean you yourself. You are the unique and accepted without any conditions.

God bless you.

Tasteless salt🍚

Welcome to Our Daily Bible bytes. 🙏😊 I am your host Bible blogger. I am glad that you visited this post.

This is a very common question answered by many people. The pastors have Big and long sermons on this topic.😀 The question is, can salt to lose its saltiness?

The most probable answer is no. It is believed that common salt is the most stable compound and it can not loose its flavour even for many years.

Although the loss of flavour is not practically possible but it is theoretically possible. Some people definitely believe that salt can loose its saltiness in certain circumstances.

The loss

Salt specially rock salt has other compounds in addition to salt. When salt gets dissolved under the influence of moisture, the white compound left behind looks exactly salt like but lacks salt like taste.

Let us examine the chemical formula of Salt. The common salt comprises of sodium chloride (Nacl). These are two chemical items joined together. The sodium is a metallic ion whereas chloride is a gaseous ion.

The chlorine gas in a pure form is very noxious and toxic gas. When chlorine is combined with sodium it becomes the most wonderful sodium chloride which has many advantages.

The other compounds such as potassium chloride and calcium chloride are less tastier than sodium chloride.

Let us assume that we are like chlorine. We at times become noxious to some people. Let us assume that Christ is the sodium atom. He comes and attaches to us and transforms us into a fantastic sodium chloride. This combination will make us desirable by all.

The combination of Christ in you will change your speech, behaviour and communication with others. Other people lives will be flavoured by your presence as salt adds taste to the food.

Matthew 5:13 NASBS
“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men.

That is exactly what we read in the above scripture quote. Christ said to his disciples that you are the salt of the earth. You have immense responsibility to bring taste in this tasteless world.

We need to introspect our lives. Are we spreading the flavour and taste of Jesus to this tasteless world. The opposite of this is loss of taste. When food is tasteless we tend to through it away. Let us not be tasteless.

What is the remedy to regain our taste? Answer is very simple. Go and get the sodium.😀 For us sodium is Jesus Christ.

Colossians 4:6 NASBS
Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person.

I will soar with you🦅

Many years ago I heard a beautiful story from my mentor. Please allow me to share it with you. Most probably you might have heard it before, but it good to refresh our memories.

The story goes like this……

“A man had many eggs and he decided to hatch them. One of the egg was quite odd but he kept that egg in between the other eggs of hen.

In the due course of time, there were many tiny little hatchlings crawling all over the place. These little fellows used to roam around the place. The owner would feed them with grains.

Among them was an abnormal chick. No one cared about it. All these chicks gradually began to grow. They slowly started to take shape of their species. The abnormal chick was growing more abnormal in shape and size.

A time came when all of them became grown up cocks and hens. The abnormal chick was in no way similar to the majority.

One day a man was passing by and he spotted this abnormal bird🦅 among these poultry. He was stunned to notice this magnificent big bird among the these fowls.

He inquired with the owner. How come you have tamed this eagle? What this eagle is doing among the these fowls? This shouldn’t have happened!😥

The owner was filled with pride and said, “you see I have managed to turn an eagle into a domestic bird.” The passerby felt very sad to see the condition of this eagle. Eagle was dirty and shabby chic.☹️

He asked the owner for permission to make this eagle fly. The owner was quite confident that eagle won’t be able to fly. He gave challenge to passerby to give it a try.

The passerby spoke to eagle saying that, “you are an eagle and you are not meant to be a fowl. I am sending you to fly.” So he threw the bird into the sky. The eagle struggling came back to its original place and began feeding among the other chicks.

The owner had a great laugh. He said I told you. This Bird doesn’t believe you. I have convinced him that he is fowl. You can’t do anything for him to fly.

The passerby wouldn’t give up. He took the bird little more higher ground than before. He plunged it into the sky. The owner was quite smart. He began to throw some grains and the eagle after a small flight returned to the farm.

The passerby was sad but the owner was giggling in his heart. The owner said, “my dear friend, please give up. This eagle is useless. He will never ever be an eagle again. Don’t waste your time and energy.”

The passerby was quite upset. He asked for a last attempt to make this eagle fly. He held the eagle in his hands, he looked into his eyes and said, “look eagle, you are an eagle and not a fowl at all. Why can’t you understand this basic fact about yourself. You are made to fly up in the sky. I am sending you back to your rightful place where you belong. Don’t come back to this dungeon.”

Afterwards the passerby took him to the highest point at that place. He plunged him into the sky. The eagle struggling began to fly. The higher air currents took him to greater heights. The owner began to call out to him. As he began to soar grater heights the owners and other fowls voice began to fade away.

He saw the glory of the sky. He saw the aerial view of the world. He said to himself, “boy what a beautiful and fantastic sight is this. I missed this for a such a long time. I believed that I am someone else. I am not. I am an eagle made to conquer the Air.” He was very grateful to the passerby for showing and plunging him into the sky. Today that eagle is still soaring the heights.

My apology, I am unable to quote the original source. I don’t know the original source. Please share it if you are aware of it.

Isaiah 40:31 NASBS
Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary.

Psalm 103:5 NASBS
Who satisfies your years with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle.

God wants you to behave in accordance to your faith and spiritual reality. May God come like passerby and show you exactly for what you are made for.

May the things that hold you back from becoming what you meant to be may be destroyed so that you will rise to your potentials in your life.

May you soar greater heights in your spiritual growth and secular success.

God bless you.

Rebooting mind👨‍💻👩‍💻

Location of mind

What is the location of the mind?

This is a complex topic. It is believed that the seat of mind is in a living brain. The brain is a seat of all the information that we accumulate. The mind produces output based on the existing information.

Emotional connection

This mind is interconnected to emotions. Mind can loose its peaceful operations if the person is emotionally disturbed. Most of our decisions are based on either heart or rational thinking, that is our mind.

This mind is affected by some human traits. There are problems associated with our minds. The problem of ego causes inconvenience to others but our minds may not recognise it. In such situations our minds need assistance.

Romans 8:5-7 NASBS
For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so,

Importance of mind

In the Holy Bible, mind has been given lot of importance. We are encouraged to fix our minds on the more profitable issues. The natural mind is mindful of things that are related to our earthly needs. This is necessary. The mindfulness toward Spiritual aspect is equally important. We need to balance between our physical and spiritual sides.

Romans 12:2 NASBS
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

There is an upgrade available for our minds. We can upgrade our earthly minds and tune in to heavenly signals. A spiritually minded person will be able to discern the will of God.

1 Corinthians 2:16 NASBS
For who HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, THAT HE WILL INSTRUCT HIM? But we have the mind of Christ.

Mind of Christ

God has given us the mind of Christ. Isn’t it amazing? We can now operate with this upgrade. What are the implications of having the mind of Christ? Definitely there are many amazing advantages. We can think like Christ, in all our situations.

Colossians 3:2 NASBS
Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.

Paul asked the Colossians to reset their minds to the correct orientation. Paul encouraged them to set their minds to comprehend things pertaining to spirituality in Christ. Too much of earthly mindedness will lead to disorientation from the more profitable heavenly blessings.

1 Peter 1:13 NASBS
Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

To sum up. We need to introspect about the focus of our minds. Which aspects predominant. Are our minds getting too much cluttered with earthly things? This will cloud the heavenly stuff. May God help us to renew our minds into the likeness of the mind of Christ.

Thanks for reading. God bless you.

The End🔚 of the end🔚

A question

Can we achieve end of the end? It is the most difficult task to achieve. To end the end we should know the end from the beginning. Oh! You didn’t get me. Let me explain.

Suppose you want to avoid a terrible accident on the road. You can completely avoid it if you knew about it beforehand. But in the real world this doesn’t happen. Accidents do happen and people do die tragically.

In today’s topic, I am referring to death as the end. The human life is ironic. When we are born, everyone is rejoicing except the newborn baby. The baby enters into the world with crying. When we die, everyone else is crying except the dead. The dead is not interested in any kind of affairs of this world. It simply doesn’t make sense to the dead. As if it is saying I have nothing to do with this world now onwards. I don’t care about this world.

It doesn’t matter

However much people cry, it has no effect on the dead. The dead person is no longer called by his name. He is referred as a “body.” The reason is that the person’s spirit has left the body. The spirit has set out on the eternal abode leaving behind the mortal part.

Jesus wept

So how can we defeat the death? No one has ever won the battle against death. Jesus wept.(John 11:35) When Lazarus died, Jesus wept. Death is a tragic reality. We all know for sure that anyone who is born in this world is surely going to die.

No guarantee

Every item manufactured in the world had date of manufacture and expiry. Human beings are the only one product which comes without a date of expiry and guarantee. You can never speculate the lifespan of any human being.

Life expectancy

The governments all around the world are always striving to increase the life expectancy of their citizens. The country with higher life expectancy is credited as a successful country.

John 11:25-26 NASBS
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, [26] and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?”

Jesus claims

What a statement! I have never read something like this about death. Jesus said I am the resurrection and life. As we all know that Jesus was crucified, buried and He rose again from the death. This is resurrection. He has defeated the death.

The Beginning of end

I am glad that Jesus Christ has started the fight against death. If he could defeat the death. We all can defeat it.

1 Corinthians 15:26 NASBS
The last enemy that will be abolished is death.

The last enemy that would be destroyed is death. That will be the true end of end.

Hebrews 2:15 NASBS
and might free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives.

Remember that fear of death produces slavery. So let us overcome this fear by the grace of God.

God bless you and encourage you with these words. Sending with love. 💌

Empty tomb by T C_ perch on

What can I give you Lord?

Often I thought to myself that I am giving so much for the Lord. I am referring to my financial giving to the Lord. I thought I am doing more than anyone.🙄 I was wrong. 😕

God said to me, “Hey Bible blogger, from where did you receive that money?” I replied to the Lord, “what do you mean?😕 I earned it with my own hard work!”😐

God asked another question. From where do you get strength to earn your wealth?” I said, I have my own strength! 💪🤨💪

God pointed one scripture quote.👇👀

Deuteronomy 8:18 NASBS
But you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who is giving you power to make wealth, that He may confirm His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

I requested God for more detailed explanation. 🤔 He said, “to earn money you need a job correct?” I said, “yes.” “To do job you need physical and mental capacity.” I said, “yes.” “From where does it come?”

I said, “I eat well, exercise daily and sleep well. That’s why I am able to work well.” God said, “today if I take your strength from you then what would you do?”

Now, I was bit serious.😑 I was afraid.😥 I said to God, “I got the point.” I realise that God is quite strong and anything is possible with God. He can make a healthy into a sick person as a punishment.

I said to God, “God today I realise that you are my supplier. You are preserving my soul and that’s why I am alive. You feed me with all good things that I need today.”

Matthew 16:26 NASBS
For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?

I asked God, “what can I give you Lord?” God pointed out to another scripture quote.

Psalm 51:17 NASBS
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; A broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.

God values what World doesn’t value. God is not need of your wealth. He wants only one thing from you is your heart. ♥️ I feel that is the most difficult thing to do.

Romans 12:1 NASBS
Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.

This is another hammering blow. God is a saying that I should give myself when there is enough life left to serve God. He doesn’t want my leftover life. He doesn’t want my old age. He wants me Now.

Oh God. I give me grace to do this. Help me to present myself daily as a living sacrifice at the feet of the Lord.

I hope this post will encourage you.

The living λίθος

Hi friends 👋

I am your host Bible blogger 😇🌹

I have chosen a very simple topic for our today’s discussion.

λίθος is a Greek masculine noun pronounced as lithos. It means stones.

Stone structure

Stones are common building blocks for any structure. A structure which is not built with stone and mortar is at the risk of collapse. Oh yes, it’s a common knowledge. 😅

Corner stone

Another important element of any structure is the corner stone. The corner stone determines the precise orientation of the structure.

You will wonder whether this is an article on civil engineering. 😅 Oh no! It is not. The reason why I am discussing will be known to you soon.

Hebrews 3:4 NASBS
For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.

God according to his unsearchable wisdom is a great architect. According to the creation mentioned in the Holy Bible, God built the whole universe. Any building always points to its builder similarly the whole visible world provides us a undeniable evidence of God as its builder.

Spiritual house

God is also in the process of building a spiritual house. He is building a community of people who have been invited to be the part of this invisible enterprise.

Hebrews 10:21 NASBS
and since we have a great priest over the house of God,

Great priest

Jesus Christ is believed as a great priest appointed and anointed over this spiritual house whose maker is God himself.

1 Corinthians 3:11 NASBS
For no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

The foundation of this house is Jesus Christ himself.

Ephesians 2:20 NASBS
having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone,

Christ is the corner stone

Christ is also the corner stone which gives meaning and orientation to the spiritual house. Christ Jesus is the leader and the main substance of this spiritual mansion.

1 Peter 2:5 NASBS
you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

You are the living stones

Peter informed his audience that they were the living lithos, that is stones. You all are being built together into a spiritual house where spiritual sacrifices such as praise to God will be offered in the name of Jesus Christ.

The crux of the matter is that we are the living stones and God is using all of us to build his spiritual house where God will get himself glorified. Even though you may not be able to make it to a physical church but you still remain as a choice living stone. God has lovingly hewed us from the quarry and gave us spiritual lives.

God bless you with this encouragement.

With whom are you walking?🚶‍♀️🚶

Hi my dear friends 👋

Everyone knows the importance of walking. 🚶🚶‍♀️ Walking is gradually becoming outdated. With the advancement of motorized vehicles people have stopped walking. It is no longer required.

Walking is back

But nowadays, walking is coming back. People are sparing their valuable time simply to walk.

Walking improves cardiac health. Our hearts become more stronger and healthier as a result of walking.

For improving the consistency of walking we need companions. Companions can inspire and motivate us to go further regards to our walking.

There is an famous idiom, “Man is known by the company he keeps.” What is the meaning of this? It means that people of similar characteristics hang out together.

How to walk?

Bible tells us about how to as well as how not to walk. In the Bible walking is also means the way we live our day today life.

How not to walk?

Psalm 1:1 NASBS
How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!

Do not

Here is a reference, “do not walk according to the ideology of wicked.” Yes we have to be careful about who is guiding our steps.

Ephesians 5:8 NASBS
for you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light

Here we are told how to walk correct manner. Paul reminded Ephesians that before they came to faith in Christ, they were walking in darkness which is sin and now they have come to light which is the holiness. God is light and we are His children. We are called to walk in holiness.

Genesis 5:22 NASBS
Then Enoch walked with God three hundred years after he became the father of Methuselah, and he had other sons and daughters.

300 years walk

Enoch walked with God for 300 years. Isn’t it amazing.

Genesis 5:24 NASBS
Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.

Come home

Once Enoch walked with God so far that God told him that now onwards you will stay with me. Enoch was not found anywhere because God took him up to heaven.

We have to be careful about the people with whom we associate. We have to learn to walk with Christ. We have to live Holy life as God has called us for Holy living.

May God bless us all through this meditation.

Are you taking care of the temple?💒

When I mention temple, many eyebrows will be raised.🤨 Some will say that in the new testament era there are no longer temples. 💒 You are absolutely correct.✔️

New temple

1 Corinthians 6:19 NASBS
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?

Do you remember this?😲 You are the temple of Holy Spirit. Oh great, now you remember this. It is very important for us to know this truth.

Taking care of the temple

We believe that, Holy Spirit himself is God. As God has come to stay within our bodies, it is pertinent that we should keep our bodies in good condition to make His stay more comfortable.

Is your body healthy?

Since our bodies are temple of God, we have to nourish it. We are duty bound to keep it healthy. So nourish it with Healthy food.

Are you exercising?

Our bodies need to be kept Healthy by doing regular exercise. Our bodies should be in working condition as much as possible. Health is very important to serve God and people.

Do not destroy the temple!

1 Corinthians 3:16-17 NASBS
Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? [17] If any man destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him, for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are.

Paul has warned us not to destroy the temple of God. What can destroy the temple? The various addictions like smoking and alcohol can destroy the temple.

1 Corinthians 6:18 NASBS
Flee immorality. Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body, but the immoral man sins against his own body.

Run away from sexual immorality. It a sin which is committed against our own body. And our bodies are temple of God.

May God help us to keep our bodies Holy and Healthy for the comfortable stay of Holy Spirit.

God bless you

An autobiography of……..🏺

When I was in middle school my teacher would ask the class to write autobiography of any thing. We could choose from living to non living things on which we could write the autobiography.

Today I am going to share a familiar autobiography in brief. I am requesting your favour. Please identify the characters in the story. Done😊👍

First character speaking:

“I was lying near the bank of river almost lifeless and formless. No one cared for me. You came in search of me. You were jubilant once you discovered me.

You lifted me up with your caring hands. You brought me to the place where you would treat me. You kept me in the scorching sun. I lost all my moisture. I was wondering what you were up to? Why did you beat me up with that wooden log? You turned me into fine powder.

You sifted me like wheat flour to remove all stones, straw, twigs, etc. You saw that in me no impurities are left behind. You knew that if some impurities remain then it will interfere in my making.

You kneaded me as a dough of wheat till all my particles glued into one lump.

You placed me on the working station. You gave the spinning wheel the required momentum. I felt little dizzy in the beginning but soon I was reassured by your loving hands surrounding me.

As your fingers began pressing against me and gradually I could feel myself getting into some shape. Initially I thought you would make me into a small vessel but you were very patient.

At that point I remember that I began to break at certain points. But you didn’t gave up on me. You remoulded me and reshaped me into a better vessel than before. I was quite relieved once you removed me out of the spinning wheel.

I thought you have done with making me. No, you took me up carefully so that I don’t suffer any damages. I thought you are going to store me in a nice place, instead you placed me in a hot oven.

The heat of oven almost killed me. I got completely dehydrated. I thought I am done. I was hoping that you don’t forget me inside this oven forever.

After certain period you came. You looked at me and smiled. I was so glad to see you smiling at me. Your one smile made my day.

You checked me up from all angles. You thought to yourself that I have turned out exactly the way envisaged me. I thought, since you liked me I would be your treasure.

You took me to a great mension where many nobles were assembled. You presented me to the most honorable person. That person poured in a peculiar drink. He drank that wonderful juice which I was holding up. Then I learnt that he was a great King. You left me there to entertain this King.

I am thankful to you for imagining me before I was born. You moulded me into something that the king would love to have.”

Second character:

Jeremiah 18:6 NASBS
“Can I not, O house of Israel, deal with you as this potter does?” declares the LORD. “Behold, like the clay in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel.

Now. Have you guessed the characters in our story? You are absolutely correct. The first character is the clay. We can identify ourselves as a clay in the potter’s hand.

Who is the second character. This time as well you are correct. The second character is God. He is our potter. He fashions us according to his plans and purposes.

Romans 9:21 TPT
Or are you denying the right of the potter to make out of clay whatever he wants? Doesn’t the potter have the right to make from the same lump of clay an elegant vase or an ordinary pot?

As the clay can’t question the potter similarly we also can’t question God. As the clay had to submit to the potter similarly we have to submit to the Lord.

He is still working

He is still working on us. What are your feelings today? Do feel that you are breaking? Have developed some cracks? Go to your maker and he will mend you. He will restore you.

He can turn you from shapeless and hopeless to beautiful and hopeful vessel of Honor.

God bless you all

The beginning of Χριστιανός

Have you ever heard of Χριστιανός?

Oh yeah. It’s a Greek word. It is pronounced as Christianos. In simple words it means a Christian. Oh you knew it? That’s great.

Do you know what is the meaning of Christian? The answer is so simple. It means partisan with Christ. Also means a follower of Christ.

How many times?

How many places do we find the word Christian mentioned in the Holy Bible? I was surprised to know that the word Christian is mentioned only thrice in the new testament. (Acts11:26, 26:28; 1Peter4:16)

Why less?

Why is it mentioned so less times? The answer is very simple. There was no necessity. The followers of Jesus Christ comfortably referred to themselves as disciples of Jesus Christ.

How many times the word disciples occurs in the Bible? The results are stunning. The word Disciples occurs 229 times in new testament!😲

Who coined the name?

It is believed that the disciples never called themselves as Christians and they were labelled as Christians by the unbelieving world around them.

The name Christian wasn’t given out of appreciation or recognition. The disciples were labelled Christians out of disliking. Just to differentiate them from others. It was meant to disregard the followers of Christ.

The Christian community liked this Idea and looks like they immediately adopted this new name.

The beginning

Acts 11:26 NASBS
and when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. And for an entire year they met with the church and taught considerable numbers; and the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.

This is the first instance when the disciples were called Christians.

The popularity

Acts 26:28 NASBS
Agrippa replied to Paul, “In a short time you will persuade me to become a Christian.”

The king Agrippa knew about this group called as Christians. He understood that Paul’s discussion is going to persuade him to accept Christianity. The name Christian was quite popular, even kings knew about this faith.

The glory

1 Peter 4:16 NASBS
but if anyone suffers as a Christian, he is not to be ashamed, but is to glorify God in this name.

Apostle Peter said that if you are suffering because as a Christian then glorify God through this experience of suffering for being a Christian.

Whatever name we may prefer to call ourselves! The most important thing is to consider is, whom are we glorifying?

May God bless us all and get himself glorified through our individual lives.

Can you imagine this?😲👇

“Can you Imagine?” This a very common phrase. I am not asking you to imagine anything!😅. What I am saying is that Imagination is an important part of our personality.

No imagination

Can you imagine a world without imagination. How boring it would have been. As a kid, me, my brothers and cousins would often ventured into our own imaginary world. We used to have lot of fun fantasizing about something we imagined which never existed.😆

How important is our imagination power? Often we neglect our imagination because it can never become true. There is a big difference between reality and Imagination.

Imagination power

A person with great sense of Imagination coupled with creativity can achieve greater heights. There are many wonderful people out there who have excellent imagination power and have become literary giants.

Someone imagined that someday we will fly the sky and it led to the invention of aeroplane.

God’s views

What does God has to say about human imagination? You will be shocked to read.

Genesis 6:5 KJVS
And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

I was equally shocked to learn this. In another place He reveals something more.

Genesis 8:21 KJVS
And the Lord smelled a sweet savour; and the Lord said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.

From youth

This is the state of fallen human race. The imaginations are deranged from our youthful days.

Do you need example of youthful imagination?

Matthew 5:28 TPT
However, I say to you, if you look with lust in your eyes at the body of a woman who is not your wife, you’ve already committed adultery in your heart.

Need for remedy

What is the remedy for the correction of wrongful imagination. Read below.

2 Corinthians 10:5 KJVS
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Obedience is the key to rearrange our imaginations in right direction.

Let me give you the example of how God uses our imagination. I would like to mention something which happened in my life.

My experience

There occurred an opening at one health care centre due to superannuation of a staff member. I suddenly developed a strong imagination that I am deputed to that place as a head of the unit and I happened to renovate this particular place.

Realisation of imagination

To my surprise my boss gave me an invitation to take over the responsibility of that particular place. I gladly accepted. I worked at that place for long period of time and managed to refurbish that place. I am really grateful to the Lord what he achieved in that place. That health turned out to be a blessing to many.

It was amazing experience. God gave me a vision to me. I could see the vision with both eyes open. Still today the staff members from that health care centre remember me. Many people remember what we accomplished at that place and time.

Ponder over

What are you using your own imagination? Let not Satan use your imagination for filthy things. Invest it for godly cause.

God bless you with these thoughts.

On the brink of extinction

Hi friends 👋,

A Discovery

As I was doing a search for my next post I discovered this amazing fact. Please check the image below. accessed on 3 Oct 2018.

Dwindling numbers

I was shocked to know about the total population of this ethnic group. The total population mentioned was 796 in 2017. I hope someone can verify this information!

Matter of concern

But if it is true then it is worrisome issue. If we consider the brief history of this group, it is amazing. This group of Samaritans believed to have descended from sons of Joseph.

Interaction with Jesus

Jesus Christ when he was living on the earth had great interactions with the individuals from this tribe.

The woman

The woman at the well who had multiple partners belonged to this group. The Lord was so kind and gracious to her. He revealed her the most profound truth about worship.

John 4:24 NASBS
God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

Another samaritan

The other person mentioned originating from this group is the important person for our discussion. Any guesses?🧐 Oh great. You are correct. I am more interested in this special Samaritan. Let us read a scripture quote.

Luke 10:33-35 NASBS
But a Samaritan, who was on a journey, came upon him; and when he saw him, he felt compassion,

[34] and came to him and bandaged up his wounds, pouring oil and wine on them; and he put him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn and took care of him.

[35] On the next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper and said, ‘Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I return I will repay you.’

The good

This is the most famous story of the “Good Samaritan.” This story is universally popular. There is no prefix “good” in the scripture. The prefix good was added later as a token of appreciation of his great charity.

Good deed

The samaritans were the most despised people during that historical period. The good Samaritan originated from this hated ethnic group. When the Jewish nobles didn’t offer help to their own wounded brother, this stranger stepped in. He offered to help, he dressed his wounds. He did his share of helping a wounded. The Lord Jesus took note of his good deed.

John 8:48 NASBS
The Jews answered and said to Him, “Do we not say rightly that You are a Samaritan and have a demon?”

Jesus the samaritan

Jesus himself was given a bad name by referring him as a samaritan. Yes in a way he was a samaritan because he Sacrificed himself to save me.

On the verge of extinction

I feel that every human being has a good Samaritan trait in his nature. Every human being has capabilities to serve as good Samaritan. I feel that this good Samaritan trait is slowly becoming rare and on the verge of extinction.

My experience

I experienced it in my own life. I don’t have the same passion to help others as I used to do in the past. There are various reasons for this lack of passion. But it is my prayer to the Lord Jesus that he may send his spirit and touch our spirit.

Dear Lord Jesus, come and touch me and revive and restore the good Samaritan in me. I ask in your sweet name.

Thanks for reading.

My style of writing

Hi friends 👋

This is your friend, the Bible blogger 😇

I thought that I should convey my thoughts about my own blog posts.

The seat of faith

Where does faith reside?

This is a very difficult question to answer. I have ventured into a very difficult topic. I hope I will be able to make some driving points.

The Search

When someone is told to have faith, he or she begins to search for faith within himself or herself.

Unstable bridge

Let me give an example. Suppose we have to cross a foot bridge which wobbles with slight wind. Would you be comfortable with crossing this bridge? I think we will think twice before deciding to take the first step.

Stable bridge

Let us change this scenario, Suppose we have to walk over a strong concrete bridge then we will have no second thought about crossing this bridge. We can walk or run over this bridge because we believe that this bridge is strong one.

Therefore considering both of these scenarios, let us reason out the exact location of faith. Any guesses?

The Seat

I think you are getting my point. The seat of faith is in the object of faith. I hope I am able to convey my thoughts.

Faith and object of faith

The point I am trying to drive home is that, the faith is always resident on the object of faith. We have faith to get operated by the hands of an experienced surgeon but will not have faith to undergo similar procedure performed by an inexperienced surgeon.

Measure of faith

So when we speak about “having faith in God” we think more from our perspective. We think that we have to possess the “faith.” We labour towards increasing the measure of our faith.

Actually we should focus on what is the object of faith. Who is the one whom we have to believe is pivotal. The important thing is whether the object of faith is trustworthy.

Faith in God

Having faith in God: Here God is central. We are called to believe and trust God. It is Faith IN God. Having faith in God is having total confidence in God’s power and ability. Having faith in God is not equal to having confidence in your faith. Our faith can be shaken but God remains same forever and ever. Amen

2 Timothy 1:12 NASBS
For this reason I also suffer these things, but I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day.

Look at God

Therefore stop looking at your faith. Rather learn to trust God. Have faith in God. So our faith resides in God who is the only object of our faith.

1 Peter 1:21 NASBS
who through Him are believers in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

This topic is open for debate. Please comment and give your valuable opinion on the same.

Thanks for reading.

Building a throne

Thrones are still famous. The thrones which are occupied are not open to public however thrones which are not occupied are open for public display.

Thrones are not found in the homes of commons. They are located in castles and palaces. Thrones are considered a seat of power in the whole kingdom.

Thrones come in different shapes and sizes. Thrones are made of different materials, ranging from wood to pure gold.

No body can simply claim his right to the throne. Thrones are usually inherited. In some instances, they are won in a battle.

Thrones are not permanent. They are temporary. A value of throne is based on who is sitting on it. If it is a powerful King or Queen, then it has more worth and dignity.

Why am I discussing thrones? Allow me to introduce one scripture quote form the Holy Bible.

No throne for God

God is asking a question! There are many thrones for earthly human kings, no throne for God. Please read this.

Isaiah 66:1 NASBS
Thus says the LORD, “Heaven is My throne and the earth is My footstool. Where then is a house you could build for Me? And where is a place that I may rest?

God’s desire

God is asking for a home. God is asking for a place of rest. How do we answer this? What is the solution for this problem? There is one solution. Please read further.

Psalm 22:3 NASBS
Yet You are holy, O You who are enthroned upon the praises of Israel.

This is a portion of a psalm written by King David. He is praising God. He always emphasized the importance of praising God.

He mentioned that God is enthroned of the praises. Yes, we can build a throne of God. When we praise him we are building a throne. We can build a place where God can rest. A place where God is praised is a restful place for God.

The another place where God can stay is…….. our hearts. Please read another quote.

Ephesians 3:17 NASBS
so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

Conclusion: We have to introspect. We need to ask ourselves, is God really the King of my life? Am I building a throne for God? Is your heart open to God to come and rest?

May God bless you all with these words of encouragement.

Shalom 🕊️ from the Bible blogger.😇✋

“God” + “o” = “Good” 😃

How is God?

Different people have all kinds of answers for this question!

Some may say, “God isn’t good! I see everything bad happening around me. So my conclusion is that God is bad.”

Another may say, “God is evil because he allowed so much of evil.”

Another may say, “God is weak God as the powerful suppress the weak.”

Another may say, “I hate God because he allowed my dear one to die.”

The list is endless. People are hurting, they are disappointed with God. Yes, life is pain. We can’t deny the existence of evil. We can’t deny the existence of death. We can’t deny the oppression of weak by the powerful.

How can I explain what God is in the context of the current affairs of the world. How can I fit the God to the unfit world. How can I defend that God is going to settle everything in its right place in right time.

It’s tough to handle such questions. Can you notice the “O” being added to “GOD” which becomes “GOOD.”

“God” + “O” = “Good”

Psalm 34:8 NASBS
O taste and see that the LORD is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!

It is sounds good to quote this. But how do I convince my hurting friend. The word of God plainly explains that God is good all the time. The Bible encourages us to taste the Lord.

What does it mean to taste. It means to allow God to touch you. Look at the same things from God’s point of view. If you can believe, whole world is created by God. When he created everything at that time Everything was good.

Genesis 1:31 NASBS
God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.

Good creation

So God created everything good then he can’t be bad, he is good. I would say that our very existence is because of god’s goodness, if you can believe the creation.

I can never transfer the taste of any food item with another person. The person who would like to know the real taste of the food should personally taste the item. David didn’t simply say that God is good. He said that taste and then you will realise that God is indeed sweet.

Psalm 119:103 NASBS
How sweet are Your words to my taste! Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

Sweet words

The words of God are sweet to those who have tasted God’s goodness. The words of God are sweeter than honey to the them who have tasted God.

Mark 10:18 NASBS
And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone.

Good God

Jesus Christ said that apart from God no one is as good as God. God is embodiment of all the goodness in the universe.

May God help us to discover his own goodness as we walk with him.

How? Not how much?

The need

There is a greater need of philanthropic work for our planet. The poverty is starring into our eyes.

The facts

“Nearly 1/2 of the world’s population — more than 3 billion people — live on less than $2.50 a day. More than 1.3 billion live in extreme poverty — less than $1.25 a day.”

“1 billion children worldwide are living in poverty. According to UNICEF, 22,000 children die each day due to poverty.”

These are some of the facts on poverty by It’s astonishing. World around us is slowly and gradually slipping away into poverty. Children are dying.

Need for action

I am not sure of the reason for such a phenomenon. But it definitely demands some action from the more privileged section of the world.

More scope

There are lot of thing being done by various individuals and organisations. But there remains more scope for more action.

More facts

“Every Western country in the top 20 has a decreased score this year. For the second year running, Africa sees an increase in all three giving behaviours, compared to its five year average.” These are the findings of Charities Aid Foundation(CAF).The CAF World Giving Index looks at how and why people around the world give to charity.”

Possible reasons

With the uncertainty of the economy around the globe, people have reduced their giving. But it is still great effort on the part of those who are still able to share from whatever little they have.

The topic

Apologies for this complex conversation. Now we will look at a scripture quote which will navigate us to our topic for today.

Mark 12:41 NASBS
And He sat down opposite the treasury, and began observing how the people were putting money into the treasury; and many rich people were putting in large sums.

The How

Did you notice “how.” Jesus was noticing people as how they were putting money into the donation box. It is definitely not a great job to do.

He is watching

No one likes to be seen doing this. But after all God can see everything. He can see our motives and intentions while doing a donation.

Not how much

Jesus was interested in how part of donation and not how much. Many evaluations of donation is based on how much. The more you give, more credits and ratings are received in return.

The widow

There was, this woman who came to donate. Do you remember how much she donated?

Mark 12:42 NASBS
A poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which amount to a cent.

This woman’s donation was insignificant and negligible. But it didn’t miss being noticed by the Lord.

Mark 12:43-44 NASBS
Calling His disciples to Him, He said to them, “Truly I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all the contributors to the treasury; [44] for they all put in out of their surplus, but she, out of her poverty, put in all she owned, all she had to live on.

Jesus Christ commented, “this poor widow put in more than all the contributors.” Yes, proportionately she gave 100%. So she gave everything. She gave her all livelihood.

Don’t give everything

Jesus Christ is not coercing us to give away everything. He was emphasizing about the method and motivation for giving and sharing.

2 Corinthians 9:7 NASBS
Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

God appreciates

The needy world loves the plentiful donor but God loves only cheerful giver.

Think about it. May God grant us to give cheerfully first and bountifully later.

May God bless you abundantly.

I can↔️He can↔️She can ↔️All can

Good day every 1.

Can you?

Which is better? I can? You can? All can? Who knows?

I often thought that life can become a difficult journey. Life could be a burden. In my life I have had this experience. I was just pulling on. Somehow moving forward, literally crawling under the pressures of life. Have you ever felt like this?

No one

What can we do in such circumstances? When life itself becomes a big burden!😢 No one to care! No one to share! These kind of thoughts keep on ringing inside our minds.

Reduced usefulness

These kind of thoughts can cripple a person. An able person is rendered unable. A creative person becomes uncreative. A productive person becomes unproductive. A resourceful becomes resourceless.

The most potent cause of such phenomenon is discouragement. Similar were the circumstances of Paul, the great missionary of Christ. Paul was thrown in jail. It was a utter dungeon.

No resources

He may not had proper food, clothing and rest. In those days the prisons must have been infested with rats and mice. Mosquitoes may have been a great company.

Jubilation in prison

What would have been our condition in such kind of prison? But Paul reports something opposite. He was rejoicing. He expressed confidence. He was able to do anything!😲 What was the reason for his jubilation inside a prison cell?🤔

Philippians 4:13 NASBS
I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.

The source

His source of all confidence and ability came from Christ. He was no way shattered. In fact he was edified by Christ. Yes, he felt the very presence of the Lord Jesus with him in the prison.

So, if Paul can do it, we all can do it through Christ who strengthens all of us. 🙌🐼/i>򣀽򣀊

Keep moving forward

What is draining your confidence? What is crippling you? Cast it down at the feet of the Lord. Take courage.✊ Move forward.🏃🏃‍♀️

Hebrews 12:12-13 NASBS
Therefore, strengthen the hands that are weak and the knees that are feeble, [13] and make straight paths for your feet, so that the limb which is lame may not be put out of joint, but rather be healed.

May the Lord Bless you with these words.

The Smart Prayer 🛐

Good day dear friends.

Welcome back to Our Daily Bible Bytes. Apologies for the little longer Blog.

I am your host, Bible blogger 😇👋

Tough job

Praying is a tough job. I am still struggling to pray. I have problems with long prayers. I just can’t manage long prayers.

But I know that praying is very important. Without prayer I will be defeated. I will lack all the essential means to live for Christ.

Historical prayers

I love certain portions of the scripture which inform us about how people in prayed in the past and God answered them amazingly.

Praying Hannah

One of such prayer is the prayer of Hannah. I am aware that there are millions of blogs written about prayer of Hannah. It simply shows, that this prayer is still impacting many people.

Let us read about her prayer from the original source that is the Holy Bible.

1 Samuel 1:11 NASBS
She made a vow and said, “O LORD of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your maidservant and remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will give Your maidservant a son, then I will give him to the LORD all the days of his life, and a razor shall never come on his head.”

Meaningful prayer

Can you comprehend the depth of this prayer. I am totally impressed and convicted by this prayer. I call her prayer as the “smart” prayer. I am not referring to the smartness according to worldly standard.

Rough period

I call it smart because of significant reasoning. During Hannah’s times, the spiritual condition of Israel was in a very bad shape.

Judges 21:25 NASBS
In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes.

Anarchy prevailed

There was no authority available to oversee the people. The nation was drifting away from the Lord.

Hannah was a barren, and she was quite affected by this barrenness.

1 Samuel 1:10 NASBS
She, greatly distressed, prayed to the LORD and wept bitterly.

She prayed with great distress and tears.

1 Samuel 1:11 NASBS
will give Your maidservant a son, b then I will give him to the LORD all the days of his life,

Son & servant

She prayed for a son. She was in need of a child but she prayed specifically for a male child. She wanted a boy so that she could give him back to the Lord for His service. What a great thought. How many mom’s would be able to do this?

National need

She smartly converted her own personal need into peoples need. People were in great need of a prophet. She also converted her need into God’s need. God had no true and faithful servant left in the nation of Israel.

1 Samuel 1:28 NASBS
So I have also dedicated him to the LORD; as long as he lives he is dedicated to the LORD.” And he worshiped the LORD there.

She got the answer for her prayer. She received her first son, nation Israel got their first prophet and God received a fantastic servant to carry forward his work in Israel.

God continue to bless Hannah, she bore many more children.

1 Samuel 2:21 NASBS
The LORD visited Hannah; and she conceived and gave birth to three sons and two daughters. And the boy Samuel grew before the LORD.

May God bless us through this meditation on the word.

The beastly king

The magnificent kingdom

This is a chilling story of a great King. There was a great kingdom know as Babylonian kingdom. The name of the king was Nabukudur-utsur. He ruled between 605 – 562 B.C. He was very successful king. He won many battles and built many great cities.

The great King

Can anyone guess the other name of this King? 🤔 I think, you may be correct. Yes, this is the story of King Nebuchadnezzar. His life story is documented in the Holy Bible, in the book of Daniel in the old testament. The details are explained for all those who don’t know the Bible.

King’s thoughts

One day he was on the roof balcony of his palace admiring the glory of his City and kingdom. He began to think in manner of any other King would have done. Read his thoughts.👇

Daniel 4:30 NASBS
The king reflected and said, ‘Is this not Babylon the great, which I myself have built as a royal residence by the might of my power and for the glory of my majesty?

He began to filled with pride. He attributed all the success to his own power. He arrogantly expressed that everything is done for his own glory. He completely forgot about God.

He didn’t remember that, God had raised Babylon only to teach lessons to the nation of Israel. This arrogance cost him dearly.

Daniel 4:32 NASBS
your dwelling place will be with the beasts of the field. You will be given grass to eat like cattle,

Beastly majesty

As a judgement from God. The majesty was transformed into a beast. He lived in the field ate grass and has to suffer a great difficulty. In simple words, He became insane.

Restoration of majesty

His punishment was for a limited period. After restoration to the normalcy, King learnt to acknowledge God. What a long way to get there! Wished he had humbled himself right from the beginning.

Conclusion of Nebuchadnezzar

Daniel 4:34 NASBS
“But at the end of that period, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven and my reason returned to me, and I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever; For His dominion is an everlasting dominion, And His kingdom endures from generation to generation.

The key

Humbleness is the key to continue with your present status. This kind of thing can happen to anyone. We can’t blame Nebuchadnezzar. This kind of traits are quite common. Beware of self glorification and Pride. God knows how to humble the haughty.

May God encourage you. Apologies if someone has felt terrified with the post. It was not my intention but it may have occurred coincidentally.

Spiritual enucleation 👁️👁️

Hi friends 👋

Welcome back to Our Daily Bible Bytes. Today’s post is little bit longer. I hope you will find it interesting.

Today we are going to discuss about “Spiritual Enucleation.”

Surgical procedure

Enucleation of eye is a radical eye surgery wherein the eyeball is removed from its place. It is performed as a life saving procedure or vision saving procedure.

Last resort

The eye surgeons always try to save our eyes. Enucleation of eye is the last decision made by a surgeon based on the seriousness of the matter. The most urgent pressing need for this surgery may be an eye cancer and other eye conditions.

Saving good eye

There is another peculiar condition which dictates this procedure is called Sympathetic ophthalmia. If the damaged eye is not removed in time then it also destroys vision in normal eye. This is sympathetic ophthalmia.

Apologies for medical jargon😋

I think I have explained quite a lot of medicine. Why am I explaining all this? You are correct. Let me explain. I begin by quoting a scripture.

Matthew 18:9 NASBS
If your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it from you. It is better for you to enter life with one eye, than to have two eyes and be cast into the fiery hell.

Jesus’s indication

This is an another indication for enucleation of eye recommended by Jesus to his disciples. 😱 Are you surprised? Shocked? Yes, Jesus said that if your eye is causing you to sin then it is better to pluck it out.

Difficult command

It is very difficult to follow what Jesus Christ commanded. In my entire life I have never ever seen anyone having done this operation because of sin.

First of all we need to understand the reason for this indication.

Matthew 5:28-29 NASBS
but I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. [29] If your right eye makes you stumble, tear it out and throw it from you; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body, than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.

Evil eye

He said that, you have an evil eye. You have lusted after another woman or man who is not your wife or husband. If your eye is causing you to lust then do the radical surgery.

I am guilty of doing this kind of sin with my own eyes. I have no guts to do this operation.😱 I love my eyes very much. I need them. How can I save my eyes?

The best procedure is the “Spiritual Enucleation.” What is the meaning of this? 🤔 OK. Let me explain. The concept is very simple. Whenever you see a beautiful woman or man, act as if your eyes are plucked from you. Don’t look at them with lust. Look at them with purity or best is don’t look. Look somewhere else.

Job’s example

Job 31:1 NASBS
“I have made a covenant with my eyes; How then could I gaze at a virgin?

You have Job as an example. He made a covenant with his own eyes. Not to see another woman with lust.

May God help us to practice “Spiritual Enucleation” on daily basis in our lives.

Shalom. Thanks for reading.

Not by sight👁️👁️

Visible and invisible

We humans can relate very well with the visible world. The Spiritual realm is a invisible. It becomes a great challenge to believe in something which is not visible to our eyes.

No body could believe that Earth is round and not flat. It is believed that pythagoras was the first person to propose that Earth is round. And now with scientific evidence we have no doubt that Earth round and it revolves around the Sun.

No one can prove or disprove the existence of God. We have only one choice, either believe it or reject it.

Living by sight

When a person who believes in God prays for some problem to get resolved and then he doubts. He chooses to believe only after he can see the visible results. This phenomenon is referred as walking by sight.

2 Corinthians 5:7 NASBS
for we walk by faith, not by sight

Believe God

Then what is the opposite of this? The answer is believe God before he does His work. That is living by spiritual sight. Let me quote a scripture.

Mark 11:24 NASBS
Therefore I(Jesus) say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you.

Live by faith

Jesus taught His disciples to believe that God has answered their prayers before answer arrives in reality. This is true faith in real sense. He said that such prayers will be answered.

Predominant sight

So, we need our physical sight for day to day living. And To live a true victorious spiritual life we need spiritual sight. Which sight is predominant in your life? Please think about this.

May God enable us to have correct vision of the true meaning of, “living by faith and not by sight.”

May God bless you with these words.

Where is the LORD, the God of Elijah?

Read this

2 Kings 2:14 NASBS
He(Elisha) took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him and struck the waters and said, “Where is the LORD, the God of Elijah?” And when he also had struck the waters, they were divided here and there; and Elisha crossed over.

What was your reaction after reading this Bible quote,? When I read this I developed goosebumps. Although this incident took place many centuries ago but it is still impacting lives.

Mantle of Elijah had no inherited property. Elijah was a great prophet of the Lord and the Lord’s presence was always manifested in him. This why the mantle was so powerful in the hands of GOD’S own chosen prophets who were bestowed upon with God’s power.

Elijah and Elisha had to crossed the Jordan river. Elijah struck the river with his mantle and water got divided and they walked on the dry river bed.

Passing the mantle

When Elijah was taken to heaven, Elijah’s mantle fell down. It didn’t fell by error. It was passed on to Elisha. Elisha was the servant of Elijah. Elijah called him by covering him with his mantle.

God is with Elisha

Now it was Elisha’s job and responsibility to guide the people of Israel. Elisha knew that God had granted him the double portion of the spirit. He proved that spirit was in Elisha by striking the water and dividing it exactly as was done by Elijah.

The spirit of power

Dear friend, God also given us the spirit.

2 Timothy 1:7 NASBS
For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.

So go forth not as a timid person but as the prophet of the Lord. Be brave.

Have you ever prayed for double portion of the spirit of Lord?

God bless you with these words.

Shalom 🕊️ from the Bible blogger.😇🙏

As a normal human being we face all kinds of temptations. One temptation is so subtle that the victim doesn’t even realise that he is slipping away. When he realises at that time it is too late.

That temptation is spiritual backsliding. The person who is affected by this, drifts away slowly and gradually from his or her commitment. I am referring to the commitment made to the Lord.

Isaiah 53:6 NASBS
All of us like sheep have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way; But the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all To fall on Him.

Gone Astray

In the above scripture quote, the human nature is compared to sheep. Sheep without a shepherd can go astray very easily. Similarly, we can go astray without our shepherd.

Today’s topic is derived from the following Bible quote. Please read.

Hebrews 10:38 NASBS

God expressed his displeasure over the retrieval of his own followers. God said that any soul who made a decision to follow him and later on changes his mind. God has no pleasure in such a person. Which means that God is unhappy with this person.

So we have to be very cautious that none of us become like those who shrunk back. May God grant us stability in our spiritual journey. Let us continually follow our loving shepherd so that we do not go astray.

I hope that you will be encouraged by reading this post.

God bless you. From Bible blogger 😇

I will make you

Hi dear friends.

Welcome back to the Daily Bible bytes.

What are your strengths and limitations? Are you struggling with something? You wanted to become a strong follower of Christ and you are failed? Do you feel living for Christ is becoming a great challenge? Do you feel like quiting? If your answer to any of these questions is yes, then this message is precisely for you!

My struggle

I have struggled with my own spiritual growth. I had to face my own sinful nature. It wouldn’t let me go freely after Christ. My sinful nature would pull me exactly in opposite directions away from Christ. It was like swimming against the strong currents. I decided to just hang on to the Lord Jesus and he carried me through.

Coming to our topic for today, this topic is based on the following Bible quote. Please read.

Matthew 4:19 NASBS
And He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

A call

This is the call Jesus Christ gave to his disciples. There are two important lessons mentioned in this scripture.

Lesson 1: Follow me.

Jesus Christ gave his disciples the secret to become a successful disciple. The secret is to follow Jesus Christ. Following him is to learn his teachings and obey his teachings.

Lesson 2: I will make you

Jesus Christ promised his disciples that he will make them fishers. Here fishing, means the salvation ministry. To be of some help to others we should be true disciples. Jesus Christ said that it is impossible for the disciples to be transformed. The Lord himself will bring about the desired transformation.

Take heart

So don’t be discouraged, allow Jesus Christ to do the necessary transformation in you. Be little patient with yourself, as Christ is patient with you.

May Lord Jesus Christ bless and encourage you with this message.

Shalom 🕊️ from the Bible blogger.😇🙏

So You shall be a blessing

We love blessing

We all love blessings. Blessings bring lot of satisfaction to us.

Meaning of blessing

Often, I wonder about, what is the meaning of blessing? The Oxford dictionary has this meaning for blessing: God’s favour and protection. So blessings are intrinsically connected to faith in God. If someone has faith in God, he has a greater value for blessings. Anyone doesn’t have faith, doesn’t care about blessings. They are merely good words, nothing more.

More blessings

For those who believe in blessings, seek blessings from different sources. We feel, that if we receive plenty blessings we will be more happy.

Coveting blessings

We pray for more blessings. We repeatedly as God to bless us and our loved ones. We request others to bless us in prayers. So, acquiring blessings from others becomes one of our goals.

Receiving blessings

We believe that receiving blessing is more important than giving. God thinks exactly opposite to our views. God is not only interested in blessing us but he wants to go one step ahead. Before I explain further, let us read a line from the Bible.

Genesis 12:2 NASBS
And I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And so you shall be a blessing;

Abraham’s blessing

This is how God blessed Abraham, the forefather of nations. God not only said that he will bless you, God said to Abraham that “you shall be a blessing.” I love this last portion.

Be a blessing

What a cool thing it is to be a blessing to someone. This is a potential everyone has inherited in Christ. God can use you to bless others. Has anyone came and told you that you have been a great blessing to them? If your answer is yes then I would like to congratulate you. The word of God has become true in your life.

Blessing in disguise

We have to think about this on daily basis. Am I a blessing to someone? You should continuously be a blessing in disguise. Sorry to say that many people are not blessing but have become source of great sorrow.

So I would like to encourage you to pray to God, tell him to make you a blessing. Ask for Abraham’s blessing.

May the good Lord make you a blessing to billions. I pray in Jesus name.

Shalom. Thanks for reading from Bible blogger.

Show me your glory

The servant of God

Moses is one the well known prophets mentioned in the Holy Bible. He was delegated responsibility to lead the people of Israel out of slavery in Egypt.

Unusual request

Moses had a very close walk with God. God spoke with Moses directly face to face. One day Moses made an unusual request to God. The request was “Show me your glory.”

Exodus 33:18 NASBS
Then Moses said, “I pray You, show me Your glory!”

Show me your glory

Moses’ request was that God should show him His face to Moses. It’s almost impossible for any human to survive in the manifest presence of Holy God.

Exodus 33:19 NASBS
And He said, “I Myself will make all My goodness pass before you, and will proclaim the name of the LORD before you; and I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show compassion on whom I will show compassion.”

Request granted

Surprisingly, God obliged to this request because God had great respect for his most trusted servant. God agreed to allow Moses to have a glimpse of His beauty.

Exodus 33:20 NASBS
But He said, “You cannot see My face, for no man can see Me and live!”

The Danger

God informed Moses about the dangers of seeing God’s face. No human being can survive after face to face encounter with living God.

Exodus 33:21-23 NASBS
Then the LORD said, “Behold, there is a place by Me, and you shall stand there on the rock; [22] and it will come about, while My glory is passing by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock and cover you with My hand until I have passed by. [23] Then I will take My hand away and you shall see My back, but My face shall not be seen.”

God’s solution

God solved the issue of safety of Moses. God will protect Moses with his own gracious and mighty hand ✋ and Moses will be able to see God’s back but he won’t be able to see God’s face. What a magnificent sight it must have been to see God’s glory passing by.

Seeking God’s glory

Have you ever thought of asking God to show you his glory? Yes many times I sought God’s face. He is has full authority to choose whom he will reveal himself. God has never manifested his glory visibly but in my heart I have experienced his glory time and again.

The glimpse

May we have a fresh glimpse of God’s glory in our daily lives. This encounter of Moses with God transformed him forever.

The suggested hymn to listen to is “Rock of ages cleft for me.” Please click on the link. Enjoy the wonderful melody which reminds us that our God is the rock which provides us shelter and refuge.

God bless you all my dear friends.
