I want to tell you that today God is doing a wonderful thing in your life. You won’t be defeated rather you are victorious. The Lord has great plans for your life. Just be on look out. Your help is on the way. Do not be dismayed or discouraged. Rejoice for your provider is always with you.
Romans 8:37 NASBS
But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.
“It’s awful to be found guilty of transgressing the law. I must admit that I was arrested once. Years ago when I was a lad I had a brush with law. I roamed aimlessly about with fear and dread that I would be apprehended.
One dark night while walking on the lonely lightless street I felt a firm hand on my shoulder. I turned in constellation to see a big policeman and he announced that I am under arrest.
He immediately took me before the judge and judge asked if I could provide a counsel. I admitted that I had no one to defend me and no one to plead my case. And from back of that corner of the room came a man with a kindest smile I ever seen.
He stooped over me and asked if I were guilty and I confessed that I was. He began to plead my case before the sturn placid judge. He pleaded not for justice but for mercy.
I became aware that the judge had great respect to the one pleading my case and I later learnt that my advocate was the judge’s son. Thanks to the goodness and kindness of that advocate. I went out of that courtroom freeman in gratitude to him and I never had another brush with the law.”
This is a great story shared by Dr Billy Graham during the annual live radio message on the hour of decision program in 1953.
Do you think there’s is any comparison between trash and treasure?🤔 Of course no!😅 What a silly question!😜
We all know the usefulness of trash bins! We collect all discarded items in trash bins. At the end of the day, whatever is collected in these bins will be ultimately destroyed. It should not be retrievable.

Similarly treasure is something precious. It is never kept open to all. It is kept under lock. It is never discarded but always guarded. It is something which is treasured above everything else. We would love to increase our treasures.

I apply the above knowledge to our day to day lives. In our daily lives we come across different situations and circumstances. We experience different people and events. Many are pleasant and some may be painful or vice versa.
Surprisingly we tend to treasure bad things. I don’t have explanation for this phenomenon. Good is always forgotten and bad is remembered more vividly.
I have developed a concept for my own practice. I call it trash and treasure bin concept. I give this tip to some of my students. Consider that you carry two bins wherever you go.
One bin is a trash bin and other is your treasure box. Always trash anything you consider bad in the trash bin and treasure whatever you think is good. Eventually whatever is in the trash bin will always gets self deleted. Never remove anything out from the trash bin. Never recycle it.
The treasure is what is going to remain. The treasure is something you can remove out and never throw away. Treasure it and nurture it.
I would like to ask you dear friend, what have you stored in your treasure box of memory? Please reconsider what you are gathering in it. Please segregate it at the source. Remember to trash the unwanted and treasure the most important thing.😜
This is one my favourite childhood hymns. I learnt it as a young boy when I had an opportunity to attend a Bible youth camp.
Impressed on the heart
I learnt it at that place with other boys and girls of my age. We sang it again and again till it sank into our hearts. Thanks to our camp organizers who took extra efforts to teach us beautiful hymns.
The two words gripped my heart, “trust and obey.” It created a lasting impression of what God required from that young boy. God spoke to me that he wants me to trust him and obey him throughout my life.
The hidden secret
That day I learnt the greatest secret of living a happy life in Christ. The secret was to trust my Jesus and obey his words. I have struggled with my youthful desires. Whenever I failed, these two words would convict me to return to my savior.
The trust in my Lord Jesus helped me to turn to him for forgiveness. After my failures I have always made new decisions and dedications, not to stray away. But failed again and again, it simply proved that I can’t fulfill God’s requirements with my strengths.
The godly sorrow
Failure to obey caused me severe pain of hurting my loving Jesus. I used to cry in secret. I would implore him to grant me forgiveness and grace to overcome. He always gave me assurance of his forgiveness. I am so thankful to the Lord. He is helping me to grow in him every day.
We all have our favorites fruits. I am a great fan of fruits. I love all of them. I love the seasonal and locally grown fruits. They are yummy. 😋 But some people are fussy about fruits. The never generation has aversion towards fruits. Their taste buds are destroyed by the greatest enemy. This greatest enemy is sugar.
Amazing thing is that our first parents Mr and Mrs Adams ate fruits in their first home in the garden of Eden. They had the most beautiful home in that wonderful place. They could eat fruit any tree except for one.
I have always blamed both our parents for making a wrong choice!😥 They have had multiple choices to make. There must have been thousands of trees with medicinal properties from which they could have made the best choice.
Genesis 2:9 NASBS
Out of the ground the LORD God caused to grow every tree that is pleasing to the sight and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
I always thought that the tree of knowledge of good and evil was the most attractive. I was wrong, in fact each and every tree in the garden was pleasant and good for food.
What made the tree of knowledge of good and evil more attractive? It’s the command which forbade it’s consumption made it more interesting than others. They were tricked by Satan to think that God was robbing them of some great pleasure. Their curiosity made them to go after the forbidden fruit.
They totally missed out on the tree of Life. It appears like they didn’t even have one fruit of the tree of Life. The rest of the story we are all aware of. They lost everything. The fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil gave them knowledge but also brought curse, pain and slow death.
The fruit of tree of Life would have given them life forever. The enemy of their lives distracted them to something which deprived them of their peace and fellowship with their loving father God.
I want to pose a question to all of us. What would have been your choice between the fruits? Would you choose the fruit of tree of Life or tree of knowledge of good and evil? Think about it.
I believe we would have chosen the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil over tree of Life. Let me illustrate my point. What do you read the Holy Bible for? Do you read to gain knowledge? Or do you read it so that you will have life eternal?
If your answer is yes to the first question then it’s like making the choice of fruit of knowledge. If your answer is yes to the subsequent question that implies that you are looking for life transformation through the analytical study of scripture.
Dear friend, let us examine our hearts intentions. May God help us to be pro-life. Make it a point to choose things pertaining to eternal life.
It’s story time guys!😃 Would you like to listen to another story?😅 Oh! I can see some nodding and smiling faces.
Alright! Here is another story I heard from someone, I can’t recall🤔 who shared it but it is worth noting.
The story begins…….
“This incident took place in era of missionaries. I day a missionary couple was driving through a village in their vintage car. They noticed one thinly built middle aged woman carrying heavy load on her head.
This lady was poor and typically village woman. The missionary couple felt sorry for her. They decided to lessen her burden. They immediately stopped their car and offered her lift.
The tired lady was overwhelming grateful to this godly couple. The car began to move forward. The couple was seated in the front seats whereas the woman was seated at the back.
After a while the missionary man decided to look back to check on the guest. He was amazed that the woman was seated comfortably. One unique thing he noticed. Can you guess what did he find?
He discovered that the lady was seated with her load still on her head.😨😰 He was shocked. He was wondering why is this woman behaving in this manner.
He informed his wife. Missionary wife was equally astonished. She politely requested the woman to unload her burden. The woman replied humbly, “Saheb, you had mercy on me and allowed me to travel in this expensive car of yours. I am unworthy woman. I am so filthy and dirty and I don’t want to make your car more dirty by keeping my dirty burden down. I fine to keep it on my head.”
Missionary couple were left speechless. Eventually the woman got down near her village and expressed her gratitude and went her own way. The missionary went their way pondering about the nature of the self sufficient and hard working women folk of India.”
All of us have some or the other burden. It could be some kind of worry or concern. We are conscious that we shouldn’t be carrying those burdens in our head however it is very difficult to unload those worrisome thoughts.
It is easy to unload physical burden but very difficult to unload burdens of cares of this world.
1 Peter 5:7 TPT
Pour out all your worries and stress upon him and leave them there, for he always tenderly cares for you.
The Holy Bible encourages us to unload all our cares on the Lord. He can absorb all our worries, stresses, anxieties more than what we can generate and possess. “Leave them there and don’t ever take them back. It’s once for all.”
The word of God says that He tenderly cares for us. He cares for how we feel. It is his desire that we should be carefree. Do you believe this?
What’s your decision?
What are you going to do with your burden? Often I did the same mistake. I would go to the Lord. I would keep my burden at the feet of the Lord. But just before leaving I would again pick up the same burdens saying in my mind, “Lord I don’t want to bother you with my burden. I will try to manage it myself.” What a foolishness! 😫
He is waiting
The Lord Jesus is patiently waiting for you to unload your load once for all at His feet. Go! Go! Go! Drop-it -off that load and you will be able to run your race at a pretty face pace.
Five years ago me and my daughter met with a major accident.
On the 23 November 2013 I was traveling to drop my daughter to the school. I was bit delayed in starting from home. I was speeding to catch up with time.
On a stretch of straight road I got distracted for a moment and I completely lost control of my vehicle. I wasn’t aware where and which direction my car was moving.
With a loud bang my car stopped. Then to my shock I realized that I had hit another on coming car. By the grace of God it wasn’t head on collision. Regularly I used to fasten seat belt for myself and my daughter. That day also I had used seat belt for my daughter however I didn’t use it for myself.
The impact was so strong that I hit the steering wheel. My body was aching. My daughter hit the door and sustained a minor cut on her left eyebrow. I was totally shaken. I couldn’t believe what had happened.
I saw two occupants of the other car approaching towards us angrily. I didn’t say a word to them. I hurriedly requested one of my acquaintances. I reached the hospital. They had to stitch fix the wound of my daughter.
The male occupant of the other vehicle sustained some injuries. He was also brought to the same hospital. I sent my daughter home after her treatment whereas I waited with the other guy until he was admitted to the hospital. The doctors informed that no major injuries took place. I was relieved of my worries.
The Lord Jesus saved me and my daughter. On that day if the other car was not present on the road at that point then both of us would have been tossed into to a low lying area. Most probably I would have been plunged through the windshield. It feels like me and my daughter had a second life.
Afterwards the opposite party turned hostile. The Lord sent different people to help me out of this mess. I was once again saved from the hostility of the other vehicle owners. God bless them. God didn’t allow them to succeed in any of their evil plans. I could sense God’s powerful presence throughout this experience. I can confidently confess that the Lord Jesus Christ was looking after my life and my family even in the dangerous circumstances.
This is the day of my salvation. Hallelujah ✋ Praise you Jesus. Love you Jesus.😘
