Mother’s heart: Indian folk story

My mother knows many stories. She told me this story when I was a child. I still remember it so vividly. The story is as follows……….
“There was a handsome young man. He had a very loving mother. They were only two survivors after the death of his father. The mother was a very hard working woman. She worked very hard to raise her only son. She provided Everything for his growth and development. He could study and obtain college level education. After sometime he fell in love with a pretty girl. They became madly in love with each other. They gave promises to each other. The girl asked her boyfriend, “What can you do to prove your love for me?” He replied that he can do anything. He can even bring stars from the sky and lay down at her feet. The girl was very cunning and cruel. She told him to bring heart of his mother. He was very sad. But he was totally blind after this damsel. He had to prove his love. He thought that everything is fair in war and love. He went home and killed his own mother. He removed heart of his mother in his hands. He carried it hurriedly to his girlfriend. While he was walking fast, he stumbled upon a stone and fell. Immediately, he heard a familiar whisper in his ears. That voice was similar to his mother’s voice. He got startled and began to look everywhere. He couldn’t see any human beings. He looked carefully and realised that his mother’s heart was speaking. That heart lovingly asked him, “son, did you hurt yourself?” When he heard his mother’s voice he began to cry out with great remorse. He wanted his mother back but it was too late, it was too late.
That is the heart of mother. Mother’s heart always beats for her children. However wrong they may have been, her love doesn’t change. My mother has immense love for me. Even at the slightest of cough or sneeze she will immediately instruct me to take some medication. Dear friends, value your loved ones when they are with you before they go on the journey from where people don’t return. This story is inspired by a commandment given in the Holy Bible:
Ephesians 6:1-3 NASBS Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. [2] Honor YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER (which is the first commandment with a promise), [3] SO THAT IT MAY BE WELL WITH YOU, AND THAT YOU MAY LIVE LONG ON THE EARTH.
This is one of the first commandment with a promise. God wants us to obey our parents. God wants us to honour our parents. If we do this then we will see better days of our lives. Abundant blessings to you. Please feel free to express your feelings if this story has touched you. Disclaimer: any resemblances to the characters in the story are coincidental. This is a fictional story. ©2019 https://dailybiblebytesforyou.wordpress.com

A great story, however, I do not believe that family is number one or the priority when it comes to God’s take on children, as I could not ignore these types of Bible passages, has anyone else seen them?
    Psalm 137:9 ESV
Blessed shall he be who takes your little ones and dashes them against the rock!
    Exodus 21:15 ESV
“Whoever strikes his father, or his mother shall be put to death.

Sorry if I did not make the point clear.

It is the contradictory messages regarding the children, parents and God in this case.

A mother’s love is beyond anything as the story emphasises; however I cannot see how God has anything to offer that would inspire this story. You quote the Lord with “honour your father and your mother.” The truth is, children thousands of years ago were not treated with the love and respect we expect from parents today and as you pointed out if they did obey the Lord they would have better days, however the unmentioned fact is that if they did not they we expendable and put to death, therefore God has nothing to do with the undying love of a mother.

      2. I got your point. You are correct. This is moral lesson. You see I have l lot of my audience who have no clue about what the Holy Bible has to offer them. Through such secular stories I am linking the eternal words of God. For a seasoned Bible student it might seem to be weird. This message is intended to all those who have never read the scripture in their entire lives. This is an introduction to the Holy Bible scripture to people from other faith. I hope that you must have realised that this my humble attempt to reach the unreached with the good news. Thanks for bringing up this issue of most concerned. I agree with your view points. God bless you. 😊🤗👍
