1 John 4:20 (CJB): If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar. For if a person does not love his brother, whom he has seen, then he cannot love God, whom he has not seen.

Covid-19 pandemic has caused immense loss of life. At the end of 26 June 2020 as many as 484 249 individuals lost their lives. It’s so hard and painful to witness so much loss of previous souls.
What a great painful experience for the breaved to watch their beloved lost to this scourge. This untimely death is a great shocker for all of us.
We are loosing many diseased due to non availability of a definitive treatment and an effective vaccine. Amazingly, 4865562 individuals have survived this infection due to their own immune system.
Once an individual succumbs to severe form of Covid-19, there is a set protocol need to be followed for the final rites to put the deceased to rest.
Every individual has his/her dignity while alive or even after death. However, Covid-19 has changed everything. The coronavirus patient is denied his dignity while alive and more so being denied peaceful final rites as well.
Recently one individual who died due to coronavirus wasn’t allowed to be cremated in his own locality. He had to be cremated at a distant location because of opposition from his own local fellows.
What is this? Is it justified action? Why are we not allowing his remains to be put to rest peacefully. I have no answers to these questions. I hope this doesn’t happen to any one of us. I leave it to my readers to figure out the answers to these fundamental questions.
Dear God, open our eyes to see the dignity of human life. You have made us in your own image. Help us not to abandon individuals who are losing their battle against Covid-19. Help us to put them to rest with all dignity and respect. I pray in the name of Yeshua Meshiakh.
