My first jab!

When COVID-19 pandemic strucked the world, everyone said that we need a vaccine for this menace. All the researchers folded their sleeves and began their quest to find a vaccine.

Thank God! At last, we have vaccines for COVID-19. Infact, the researchers have developed dozens of vaccines, which are at different stages of their development.

Now, the public are facing different dilemmas. They are bombarded with conflicting social media messages. Everyone is confused and afraid about these jabs.

I recieve many inquiries asking more authentic information. I have always supported vaccination against COVID-19. Many people asked me the next daunting question! “Have you received COVID-19 vaccination?”

Till 29 Jan 2021, I told everyone that my turn to receive this jab hasn’t arrived. Ultimately on 29 Jan, I was shortlisted for COVID-19 vaccination. On the same afternoon I was injected with COVID-19 vaccine.

I am so grateful to the Lord for this vaccine. I didn’t suffer any problems after the jab. I was active as usual. Next day I had minor weakness and lethargy. Otherwise, I could do my tasks without any difficulties.

I would like to encourage everyone to go for it, unless the vaccine is contraindicated to you. Today, vaccine is the only weapon we have in our armoury against COVID-19 pandemic. If we don’t use it then this ugly virus will continue to cause many casualties all over the globe.

Don’t choose to be a covidiot. Be covi-smart by saying yes to the jab. God bless you. With love! Your friend… Bible blogger 😇🙏

Teaming up for COVID-19!

My team

Dear friends. Let me introduce you to my lovely and hardworking team. This team consists of doctors and nurses. We all work in different shifts.

This photo is taken at almost end of my duty. Can you see the beautiful smiles. Those smiles are hidden behind the uncomfortable PPE. They all want to hug each other but our hands are bound by social distancing norms.

We want to jump in the air, but impossible with the PPE. Our wings are clamped. This team is my support system. I love my team. I am proud of each one of them.

They work very close to COVID-19 patients. They exam them. Administer medications. Perform various procedures. Lots of things happen between this team and patients.

Can you spot me? No? You can’t! We don’t operate as individuals rather as one team. We have teamed up with each other for one cause. We want to defeat our common enemy. That’s the COVID-19 pandemic.

These team members aren’t unknown. They are well known in their own specialities. For this noble cause we are ready to go unnoticed and unknown. We are committed to fighting the unseen enemy.

These are our COVID-19 warriors. They are fighting your battle against the enemy of humanity. Cheer them up by taking care of yourself. More cases will add up to the misery of these warriors.

Thanks for reading ❤️😊🙏

Overcoming fear of COVID-19!

Myself in full gear!

How to overcome fear of COVID-19? It’s hard to overcome it. However, doctors have limited choice. They have to venture into fearful situations all the time.

You can see me in full attire to overcome the risk of contracting COVID-19. This PPE helps me to protect myself from the coronavirus.

This suit will help me to overcome my fear of COVID-19. Although I am fully covered, yet I have to be very careful. I have to keep safe distance from the COVID-19 positive cases.

It’s not comfortable at all but my body is getting used to it. Now I am able to survive with full PPE for longer periods. This coverall is an essential armour for all health care providers.

Therefore, it’s my earnest request to all my readers, “please take care of yourself and your family.” Don’t give heed to covidiots who claim that it’s a faux.

COVID-19 is real. If it was possible I would have shown you the sufferings of the patient, however it’s unethical. There are real people going through real sufferings due to COVID-19.

There are real doctors and nurses who have to risk their lives to provide care for them. I hope this message will help you to understand the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic more vividly. Take care 💝

Don’t take COVID-19 lightly!

I am sure that my earlier post must have given you glimpses of the perils of the doctors working on COVID-19 duties.

Today I want to my experience at the COVID-19 ward. This particular ward housed mild to moderate cases of COVID-19.

Many of these patients were able to maintain their oxygen levels without external supply. Which is a sign of  recovery. These patients have had pneumonia, now they are stable.

However, there were some who required continuous supply of oxygen. These are the patients who are still suffering from the pneumonia. The moment their oxygen supply taken off, their blood oxygen dwindles immediately.

The recovered ones were planning to go home in another few days. While the ones not showing signs of recovery were uncertain about their discharge from the hospital.

They were eager to know their progress. I could sense fear and apprehension on their faces. I feel helpless at times, as at times we don’t have absolute control over the situation.

Dear friends, there are rumours going around that COVID-19 is hoax. That’s a lie. I have witnessed the truth. COVID-19 is real and serious matter. It has killed many people. It is still killing millions.

Don’t think COVID-19 is something to be taken lightly. Be careful. Follow the protocol issued by the health department. Be at home, be safe.

My first day in the COVID-19 ward!

It was a Friday morning. My waiting period was over. I was waiting for the current ward to be converted to COVID-19 ward.

The house surgeon informed me that finally they managed to shift out the non-COVID-19 patients. COVID-19 patients got admitted to this ward.

I was afraid to enter this COVID-19 ward. My spacialty isn’t about treating COVID-19 victims. But, due to overwhelming escalation of cases dictated that we should help.

I was dependent on the internal medicine specialist for guidance. I had no experience with PPE. I got a call from the specialist that this person is going for patient rounds.

I was invited to join the rounds. I hesitantly agreed. I was least prepared for what was awaiting for me. I was handed a PPE. The specialist kindly guided me through “donning.”

We entered the area where actual COVID-19 patients were treated. It was very scary situation. This was the first time I was experiencing a very close contact with positive cases.

I was profusely sweating inside my PPE. I persevered through around one hour through the rounds. I developed sick feelings. I was feeling exhausted and giddy.

I mentioned to my colleague that I need a break. That doctor had warned me about her first experience with PPE. She told me to relax in a chair.

I was sweating more profusely. I didn’t even know that wherever I was moving and halting I was leaving a puddle of sweat on the floor. This was happening in another ward. We were yet to go to my ward.

After an hour that doctor said we will go to my ward. To my luck, there were only 3 patients. She quickly finished with them.

We approached the “Doffing” room. I quickly followed the instructions of my colleague. I freed myself from the PPE I was wearing. I was was out of PPE however the heat exhaustion continued.

I was having strange feelings. I wasn’t feeling well. I triggered my migrane. I was tired, exhausted, with intense headache. I felt like I am going to collapse any moment.

After sometime I had liberty to go home. I reached home. After steam inhalation and bath I took a big nap. Then around 12 midnight I experienced relief from my headache.

I admired all my doctor and nurse colleagues for the efforts they take to provide care to COVID-19 patients. I salute each one of them. Today I know how they feel.

No island is safer!

Source

It is said that no man is an island. We need need other people to survive. We can’t survive in isolation.

In COVID-19 pandemic season, the virus has been penetrating in to various parts of the world. It was thought that sea may serve as a barrier to the spread of virus.

Islands were considered safe to prevent occurance of COVID-19. However, in a recent report it was noticed that this virus has affected the islanders.

A particular tribe of Andaman and Nicobar Island who have only 50 people, 10 were found to be infected with this virus.

It is quite a serious matter when the tribe has so few surviving. We need desperate prayers so that the Lord will have mercy and preserve a remanent for himself.

Isaiah 1:9 (CJB): If Adonai-Tzva’ot had not left us
a tiny, tiny remnant,
we would have become like S’dom,
we would have resembled ‘Amora.

Be safe. Stay safe. 💓

COVID-19 and alcohol.

Alcohol rubs kills coronavirus. This is a well known fact. Everyone is seen carrying a bottle of alcohol rub for hand sanitization.

The recent pandemic caused frantic response from the government. There was extensive lockdown. The economic activities came to standstill.

Many people lost their livelihood. The financial constraints took toll on the weak minded. Many resorted to drinking alcohol as an easy way to escape from reality.

Many resorted to excess alcohol consumption. Although external application of alcohol is protective. However, internal use can be dangerous.

Recently, one person lost his job during the lockdown. He indulged in excessive use of alcohol. Because alcohol, he neglected his diet. Today he is suffering from alcoholic hepatitis. He also landed up with nutritional anaemia.

Don’t gaze at the red wine as it gives its color to the cup. It may glide down smoothly now; but in the end, it bites like a serpent— yes, it strikes like a poisonous snake.

Proverbs 23:31–32

Alcohol consumption should be avoided during the current pandemic. Too much of alcoholic beverages can land a person in trouble.

I hope, this post is helpful. Till then, be blessed in the name of Yeshua Meshiakh.

Stay away from alcoholic beverages.

The lung machine!

Source

This is one of the news which appeared on Times of India app. I was extremely happy to read that one person’s life was saved by using a lung machine. He was suffering from COVID-19 complications. The technical name of the machine is Extra corporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).

In mid-july a Gujrati man was brought to a hospital in Mumbai. He was on a ventilator. The doctors decided to shift him over to ECMO.

In the same hospital they had tried this procedure for 8-10 serious patients. All of them succumbed except this person.

The duration of treatment is for two weeks. The cost could range between ₹50k to ₹100k per day. The cost has been the limiting factor for many patients to opt for this treatment.

This patient eventually recovered from COVID-19 complications. It is believed that at least seven patients have recovered from COVID-19 complications by using ECMO all over the country.

The treating intensivist has expressed great satisfaction for able to save one soul. It’s quite rewarding experience when one patient’s life is saved.

Luke 15:7 (CJB): I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who turns to God from his sins than over ninety-nine righteous people who have no need to repent.

I admire and respect the engineers who designed this machine. Their genious efforts has become fruitful. One life is more important and precious.

Similarly in today’s scripture quote, Yeshua said that if one person repents and gets saved then there’s a great joy in the kingdom of heaven.

Do you have similar stories to share? Please do share with me. Be blessed in the name of Yeshua Meshiakh.

I passed the test: My report is negative!

ज्याला देव तारी, त्याला कोन मारी? Whom God saves, who can kill?

Old Marathi proverb.

This is my mom’s most favourite saying. She is a firm believer in Yeshua Messaih. She would always say that when God is for you then no one can be against you.

Dear friends, yesterday I reported about my brush with SARS-CoV-2. In that post I mentioned that I was waiting for my COVID-19 test results. They told me that it would be available in one and half day.

To my surprise, today morning I received a message on my cell phone. My doctor friend saw my sample and decided to notify me. The message read, “Your sample was tested last night. It is negative.” I was extremely happy. I was so thankful to my Lord and my doctor friend as well.

I testify that I had believed from the bottom of my heart that I am negative. But, I had to get myself tested because of the on the insistence of my Boss.

My family was little bit worried about the results. The last 24 hours have been like 24 days. They were quite afraid. But, I was enjoying my time. I got an opportunity to spend my time with my daughter. 🤠

Romans 8:31 (CJB): What, then, are we to say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

The moment my negative report arrived, I immediately informed my wife. She burst out, “Praise God.” My boss said, “very good. I am happy for you.”

I told him that I had a green signal from my God that I am okay. I believed it before my results were ready. My daughter was happy about the results. At the same time, she was sad. She thought that I would be with her for some more days.

I had told my wife. Don’t worry, my God is able to make positive report into negative. Nothing is impossible to God. My Yeshua is alive 🙌.

I want to say thank you to all my friends who prayed for me and for this test to become negative. I salute your friendship. I deeply appreciate your prayers. Be blessed in Yeshua Messaih’s name. ✋

My brush with SARS-CoV-2!

Dear friends, I just wanted to share my experience. I was posted in a place where we do respond to public over telephone calls. It is basically a health helpline for our state.

Few days ago as usual I was posted at this place. I was doing my shift duty. We work with the Emergency Call Respondents (EMR)

Towards the end of the shift this person (EMR) was sent for COVID-19 testing. He underwent rapid diagnostic test. To my dismay, this person turned out to be positive for COVID-19.

He was completely asymptomatic. He was quite upset about his results. He was filled with fear and apprehension. I couldn’t talk to him. Now I am going to dial him to inquire about his health.

Since I was exposed to him I have been advised to get myself tested. A sense of anxiety creaped in to my mind. In fact that day I was having strange feelings about this place. I didn’t want to be in that place, however I couldn’t avoid it.

That guy was wearing his facemask continuously. I was wearing double mask including N95. This was a wise decision. I was sitting almost 1 meter away from that guy.

As a precautionary measure I have got myself tested. I am waiting for my results. I need your valuable prayers. I hope that you yourself will take care of your health and wellness.

Please wear your facemask continuously and consistently covering your nose and mouth. Wear a face shield. Keep your hands santitized and wash them with soap and water. Keep physical distance from all.

These are the only options available to keep yourself from contracting this deadly virus. I hope this post helps.

Psalm 91:6–7 (CJB): 7  A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand;
but it won’t come near you.

Today I don’t have anxiety about what I facing. The above mentioned scripture quote gave me assurance. That this pestilence is not going to harm me and my family. I have put my trust in Yeshua Meshiakh.

A Ray of hope!

In this time of pandemic, we are desparatly waiting for a cure or vaccine for COVID-19. Many researchers are striving hard to find either one of these modalities.

Good news is that some of the researchers have found some vaccine candidates. The initial phases have given promising results. They have moved onto the next phase of the vaccine trials.

For a vaccine to become a success, it needs human subjects. They are referred as “volunteers.” They are the healthy humans who are willing to take risk of being given the novel vaccine.

The candidate vaccines have been good in the initial phases and therefore have received approval for the next phase of human trial. It doesn’t mean that they can’t cause any potential harm.

The volunteers have to give their informed consent before they recieve a shot. This is entirely done out of freewill. There is no scope for coercion or pressure to participate. The volunteers need to be adequately compensated in the event of any adverse effects.

I salute these volunteers who are going extra mile for all of us. They will become a prototype of people who will help the researchers to conclude the validity and effectiveness of these potential life saving vaccines.

As a medical fraternity, we will be always indebted to these noble people who volunteered in spite knowing the dangers of such interventions. Kudos to you volunteers.

To these volunteers, I have only two words, “Thank you.” I deeply appreciate your sacrificial gesture. You have served all humanity by your greatness.

I bless you all in the mighty name of Yeshua Meshiakh.

Dharavi, the plasma Donor!

Dharavi, Mumbai credit: mhameeq@pixabay.com

Every Indian knows about Dharavi! Dharavi in Mumbai is the most famous location in India. Its fame has spread across the Asia and the world equally. It’s the Asia’s largest slum.

Dharavi is a home for over one million Indians. It’s a mega city in a metropolitan city. Although the living conditions aren’t so great, yet people continue to thrive. They are the Mumbaikars at core. They are the great achievers.

For the life of every creature—its blood is its life.

Leviticus 17:14 (CJB): The Holy Bible

They have well adapted to the severe environmental challenges. It’s their home sweet home. They won’t be comfortable anywhere else in the whole world. I admire these people. They are very industrious people.

They manufacture variety of items. They know how to make living in the midst every kind of adversity. They are ready to face difficult and challenging conditions.

The COVID-19 pandemic knocked on the door of Dharavi. Everyone was skeptic about the control and prevention of COVID-19 in this densely populated area. The health department and the corporation was very swift in its response.

Kudos to everyone at corporation and health department for effective control strategies. Congratulations to all Mumbaikars for this great achievement. Dharavi was deemed as a COVID-19 hotspot.

Dharavi has many people who have recovered from COVID-19. These people are volunteering to donate their plasma. The plasma harvested from these saviours will save many people. I want to thank Dharavi residents and Mumbaikars for their generosity. Today Dharavi is considered as the leader of plasma donation. What a great example for everyone to emulate. It’s a slap in the face for all the skeptics of Dharavi.

God bless Dharavi. God bless Mumbai. God bless India 🙏 I bless you in the name Yeshua Meshiakh.

SourceDoctor Dies, Covid +ve, Allegedly Turned Away By 3 Bengaluru Hospitals

https://www.ndtv.com/karnataka-news/bengaluru-covid-doctor-turned-away-by-hospitals-over-ve-report-dies-2267683

COVID-19 has converted the hospitals into battlegrounds and doctors as warriors and saviours. The warriors are putting up great fight to save the victims from the invisible enemy.

The enemy is quite strong and subtle. Any breach in the defence will provide advantage to the virus. It will not miss the opportunity to maximize this breach. The doctors are working and at times overworked.

The long hours of work and stressful situations make them vulnerable. They spend long time with the infectious people. On many occasions, the doctors have become infected by the virus they were busy fighting against.

What kind of treatment do the doctors get when they become victims. Today’s news shows that the doctors who are saviours are treated very badly by their own health system. The hospitals turned the sick doctor away because he didn’t have COVID-19 test results.

The doctor was ultimately hospitalized, however it was too late. He lost his fight against the virus. This has happened to many other doctors and patients as well. I hope that this won’t happen again and again. We don’t want to lose our best warriors.

Dear friends, please say a prayer for the doctors and hospitals to have enough room for everyone who need treatment. May God has mercy on the victims and heal them.

I bless you in the name of Yeshua Meshiakh. 🤗🙏

Orphaned by the pandemic!

Hi! How are your elderly parents doing? My mom and dad are well and I am very thankful for this. Their well being is always a good news for me.

Parents health is always a great blessing. They have done so much for us. It’s very painful to see them sickbed. I know that you will do everything to make sure that they are hale and hearty.

Parents sickness is always a source of great misery. It’s very difficult to see them suffering. Their healthful days will always mesmorize your mind. Their illness can cause lot emotional turmoil.

Can you imagine someone loosing both parents at once? It’s just horrible for me to even think of it for few seconds. God forbid that something like this should happen to my beloved parents, then the world would crumble beneath my feet.

Few days ago, I received bad news from my friend. His wife called up and said that her husband lost his mother to COVID-19. I was very sad. Next day she called me say that her husband’s dad is being shifted to hospital for he needs ventilator. He was a COVID-19 patient.

After few days later, she said that her husband’s father is no more. I was extremely saddened by this loss. I was speechless. I was struggling for words. I didn’t know how to comfort my friend.

COVID-19 has been disastrous for so many families. I feel so sorry for all those who have seen their loved ones snatched away by this pandemic.

The last words of my friend were, “I am lost.” He was feeling that he lost the whole world after loosing his parents. I could feel his pain. I could feel his tears. He is a resident of middle east, but I felt his anguish right where I live.

I could only quote to him one scripture which God showed me. I quote from the Holy Bible……

Psalm 27:10 (CJB): Even though my father and mother have left me,
Adonai will care for me.

I could only say this, I know that no-one can replace what you have lost. Your loss is great, but this is the promise of God to you. He will take care of you when your parents are no longer available to take care of you.

My friend was all in tears. He was comforted by the”Words of God.” I was happy that I could help him to certain extent. God bless and comfort my friend.

Dear friend, if you are going through moments of loneliness, kindly consider above scripture quote. It will bring peace, joy, and blessings to your disturbed lonely heart.

Blessings to you 🙏 in the name of Yeshua Meshiakh 🤗 shalom 🕊️

A huge hug ❤️

Hugs are becoming rare. We can’t touch each other. Even a simple handshake is forbidden. This has happened because of COVID-19. Everyone knows it!

So, the regular hugs are out of fashion. Can anyone think of hugging a COVID-19 patient? You wouldn’t do it, right! No one will dare to dream of doing it! It’s so scary to hug someone who is coronavirus positive.

However, recently I read about one Dr E.G who is a great clinician and a versatile medical teacher. He helped to set up a COVID-19 hospital. He has worked continuously for the COVID-19 patients for extended period.

The peculiarity of this doctor is that he would hug everyone COVID-19 patient that recovered from the hospital. When everyone is running away from these people who have recovered, this doctor would send them after a great big hug.

This gesture was unprecedented for everyone. This gesture brought great sense of hope and comfort to all these COVID-19 patients recovering from their infection.

The sad thing always to good people. This doctor who tirelessly laboured for these patients is found to have contacted the virus. I was heartbroken to hear that sad news.

We are praying for this dedicated doctor to become alright.

Dear God, please heal this doctor from this virus. The COVID-19 infected people need this doctor. Please don’t take away the best of your soldiers, who can defeat this invisible foe.

I ask in the name of Yeshua Meshiakh. Amen 🙏

A hug that we need source

COVID-19 and film personalities!

Source

COVID-19 Cases are rising all over the world. We know that it is a global phenomenon. We also understand that everyone is vulnerable to this virus.

Is it a surprise when the great personalities contract coronavirus? It is a great shocker. Yesterday, our great cinema personality Mr Amitabh Bachchan and family were found coronavirus positive. Similarly there are many films personalities have become victims of this virus.

Mr Bachchan is a very popular figure in the Indian film industry. His movies and TV shows have a wide viewership. He has been lending his services to the government of India by way of promotional aimed at prevention of COVID-19.

Today when he himself is suffering due to this virus breaks my heart. He has also been helping the stranded labour force in the Mumbai City during the lockdown period.

I have only one prayer for him and his family. Dear God of the Bible, you are the Healer. I pray for Mr Bachchan and his family members who have been detected positive. Please heal all of them and others. Give them total recovery. I pray this in the name of Yeshua Meshiakh. Amen 🙏

Family of COVID-19 warrior!

Source

Please check out this video! This video gives a visual experiences of the COVID-19 warrior families are going through.

It’s a hard life of being separated from their sons, daughters, and spouses. The children miss their parent. The spouse misses life partner.

There are no more hugs. No kisses. No touching, no cuddling. Everything is done through either behind the close glass doors, online, or drive through goodbyes.

The dedicated commitment to this divine call to serve the COVID-19 victims brings great satisfaction to these families. They are more than happy to let their beloved to carry forward the most essential services.

The COVID-19 warriors also choose to stay away from their homes to save their own from this scourge. So much love and support from families is a wonderful example we need to follow.

This dedication and sacrifice from the families of COVID-19 warriors need to be well appreciated. We salute you the families of COVID-19 warriors.

Blessings to you in the name of Yeshua Meshiakh 🙏

The indicriminate virus

Source credit: English Jagran.com

Many of the infectious diseases usually affect poor people. The low socioeconomic factors and overcrowding contribute to the occurance of many infectious diseases.

Surprisingly, the SARS-CoV-2 has infected the royal and famous personalities. The politians used to somehow escape from the infectious agents.

COVID-19 doesn’t seem to differentiate between the rich and poor, famous or not. The people in the palaces aren’t safe. The virus did breach the royal guard security to infect the Prince.

The politicians are infected in dozens. The coronavirus aren’t terrified by the blue color job holders as well. The police force is also aquired this infection. Many policemen lost their lives to Covid-19 infection.

Coronavirus pandemic hasn’t spared any nation. It has managed to penetrate into every nook and corner of the world.

So, it’s a great lesson we learn. The virus has no prejudice against anyone. It just attacks anyone who comes in its way. Be aware! Be careful! Be home! Stay safe!

Thanks for visiting.

I bless you in Yeshua Messaih’s name.
